Can't scroll past some adverts

I'm on an android phone using chrome, on some threads I will reach an advert and then cannot scroll past it!

If I remember rightly, I saw a thread saying the same thing l, so I didn't post as I assumed it would be fixed, it still seems to be happening though!

Another android user with Chrome having issues. I'd say it happens maybe every 3rd thread I try to look at. I just give up half the time. The site needs a total refresh and upgrade of the forums, they haven't changed since I started using in 2009!

I'm having massive issues with this. Using android and browser and can't get past certain ads and have to close the whole thing. So annoying

I don't use an adblocker as accept that's how you finance the site, but I'm left with no choice, mnet is currently unusable as every ad causes it to freeze.

Safari on iPad. Every page now is either automatically reloading "because a problem occurred", or I have to refresh. A blank gap appears where I'm assuming there would be an advert Also I had to refresh in the middle of my first attempt at this post, and start again.

Yup, this is how I ended up resolving it too.

I generally don’t have an issue with ads/generating revenue so have never really felt the need before but I’m not going to continue with that if it makes it difficult for me. MN is entertainment at the end of the day, it shouldn’t be such hard work 🤷‍♀️

Same for me on android and chrome. Have had to give up a few times as refreshing hasn't helped as it happened so often.

Just had a play about and this is happening on my iphone and a fire tablet.

My laptop is fine because I've installed an ad blocker, which, as others say, is a shame because ads are how MNHQ finances the site. But at the end of the day, the site has to be usable.

It's ridiculous. MN the 'things are slower over the holidays' excuse is total bull, it's been over a month now and the problem has actually gotten worse ffs!!

This happens every time MN try to bring in measures to further exploit the advertising potential of users. It's crazy. Surely if something isn't working then the ad type should be stopped until you can figure out what's happening??

Same here I've posted about it a while ago ,same thing happening but nothings been fixed.It's really off putting.Not used MN in a while because it was so frustrating,came back and it seems even worse_totally sticks on an ad.Have started using other forums now ,no probs with those,as its obviously not going to get any better.So annoying though.

After weeks of problems with MN and no solution, my son installed an ad blocker on my phone last night. MN is now workibg perfectly. I was happy to have ads as they finance MN, but the problems on the site made it almost unusable.
