It's bloody Nov 12th and I'm sick of Christmas being all over the show already there's a whole topic for it so keep it in there. Christmas is in December not before remembrance Sunday!

It must be that premium members don't see it because it's still there staring when I'm accessing MN on my mobile. If you can't see it, it must be because you're a premium member because trust me it's impossible to not see it if it's there.

For those that can't see it - here it is. At the end of every thread, just above the comment box. It's so big, it doesn't all fit on my phone screen, so the screen shot doesn't actually have the whole thing.

I love Christmas but find the massive red box immensely irritating on every. single. thread.

Yep - mines on the mobile desktop version too. I don't use the app because the Android version is so crap.....

Super jealous. Its driving me bonkers.

It really jars against the rest of the site and fills the entirety of the screen on my phone so I keep blooming click on it by accident.

Hello all, I'm very sorry if this is irritating and I do understand the sentiment about Christmas creep. That said it's clear that Christmas does in fact come early for many Mumsnetters - the Christmas topic was our fourth busiest this week, behind only AIBU, Chat and relationships, with views up 42% from the previous week.... we could look at changing it from festive red to festive green if that feels less in your face?
We'll also remove it from the bereavement topic - thanks for pointing that out.

So why the need for the bloody red box in the first place? All this statement proves is that it's s quite obvious that people know where to find threads relating to Christmas without it.
