MNHQ here - which feature would you most like to have on Mumsnet Talk?

Hi all

We're looking at making some improvements to the Talk over the next couple of months. We've had a look at your threads in Site stuff and created a list of features you've been asking for recently. We'd love it if you could vote using the poll below please, to let us know which feature is most important to you. (You all have one vote each).

• See OP's posts only

Ability to filter a thread to just see posts by the original poster

• Improve search

• Save post

Ability to favourite / save posts from other users that you like / find helpful, so you can find them again later. A bit like Instagram's 'Save' feature.

• Edit your post

Ability to edit your post after it's gone live so you can amend any typos etc

• Ability to move your thread to different topic

For example if your thread isn't getting a lot of traffic or if you've posted it to the wrong Talk topic

• Quote reply

Ability to quote another user's post in your post, when replying to something they've said on a thread.

• View all posts on one page

Being able to view all posts on a thread on one page, rather than having to click 'next page'

See OPs posts only. Who has time to read a massive thread. Yes you can scroll to find the OPs posts but sometimes it's days between updates and a LOT of scrolling.

Absolutely seeing only OP's post. I've always thought this would be so handy. It's hard to RTFT if it goes on for many, many pages. Please make this happen!

Most of those are needed! I am unsure why for such a popular forum they aren't in place already. Most other forms already have this functionality. Why do we only get one ?!?

Agree with OP's posts only. Hopefully that would mean less annoying posters not rtfts. And more stuff on the app. e.g.bookmarking

Edit for a couple of minutes only, so it's just for typos and not changing one's mind.

And quoting. It's so cumbersome at the moment.

The search function desperately needs improving - need to be able to search for exact phrases - at the moment every thread that contains any of the words comes up - useless!

Don't need "see OPs posts", I have them coloured, I can simply scroll down the page and stop when I see the colour.

Move post? Nah, I'm happy to ask MNHQ to do that

See all posts on one page? Well, I already have my settings at 500 posts per page, so I only have one click of Next to each long thread, I don't need this.

Quote posts? Might be nice, am used to it on other fora, but I've got into the habit of copy-and-paste-in-bold.

So I voted for EDIT. However, like other people above, I'd like the edit to be an option for a maximum of 10 minutes and perhaps even shorter. I don't want people to edit days later to remove the original topic. But I would like the ability to correct my typos

I'd also like a 'like' function.

Op posts only would be top of my list

A better search - I’m not really sure how it works now, sometimes I get a better result googling and adding mumsnet in the search.

Ability to click on a tagged name and be taken back to their post so you can understand replies!

Please - no like button!

This should be a site where we debate and discuss, not just click and go on our merry ways without making a contribution.

Also disagree with the edit function, unless it’s within 5-10 minutes of a post.

We need a like or upvote feature!
