We’d like your help testing a new release of the Mumsnet Talk App 3.0 (beta).

This app is for iPhones and iPads on iOS8 only at the moment.

We'd love it if you can give the app a good workout - using it as you normally do - to read and post in Talk. please do bear in mind that the app is still in beta version, so some things may not work perfectly. We have made a few changes since our last test release.

You can use any email address to sign up.
You need to be logged in to sign up. (If you can't see the sign up page, make sure you are logged in.)
It is LIVE. Any posts you make will be seen on the Mumsnet site for all to see. We'll send you an invitation to download the app (it will arrive via the TestFlight service).

Talk app users

This app will replace the current Talk app (2.1) on your phone if you have it.

Recent beta Talk app testers (Testflight 1.0)

If you have been involved in recent app testing, you will end up with two app icons (1.0 & 3.0) on your device. You can uninstall the previous beta app (it will stop working this week).
If you previously signed up for this - but didn't accept & download the app - you will need to sign up again.

I'm loving this new ap - just missing the search function, but have learnt how to bookmark and flip - hooray! testtesttesttest

Joining in the 'search' chorus - with this added it would be perfect!

I don't actually use Search much at all - and I would guess it's hugely hungry on processing. I don't mind its absence. The App is never going to be as complete as the main site and there are, I think, some policy decisions to make about thread retention before a Search facility is even considered.????I'd like to know whether I'm OK to upgrade to iOS 9 though.

Ah - I see question marks haven't been fixed yet.

I don't appear to be able to use mine, it just says expired?

It's working fine for me with iOS9 Simurgh.

If you post on the app the text doesn't appear on the desktop version.

First post was from iPhone 6 with iOS 9, second was from Mac on desktop site, this one is from iPad with iOS 9.????Just testing to see what happens

That last post was from the App, LovelyFriend, and I can see it loud and clear. (As with previous ones. Maybe there was just a blip.)

Another request for the Search function too. I used to use it lots on the old app and it worked well, please can we have it back on this shiny new app. ??I've finally worked out how to refresh active so all good so far.

Just a quick question; what does the little dot beside the app icon on my home screen mean? Sometimes it's orange and other times it's red.

Oh I see return gives me a question mark????That is rubbish????And makes me look like I can't write in paragraphs please help I love the new app apart from this. Particularly like the watch thread bit
