We’d like your help testing a new release of the Mumsnet Talk App 3.0 (beta).

This app is for iPhones and iPads on iOS8 only at the moment.

We'd love it if you can give the app a good workout - using it as you normally do - to read and post in Talk. please do bear in mind that the app is still in beta version, so some things may not work perfectly. We have made a few changes since our last test release.

You can use any email address to sign up.
You need to be logged in to sign up. (If you can't see the sign up page, make sure you are logged in.)
It is LIVE. Any posts you make will be seen on the Mumsnet site for all to see. We'll send you an invitation to download the app (it will arrive via the TestFlight service).

Talk app users

This app will replace the current Talk app (2.1) on your phone if you have it.

Recent beta Talk app testers (Testflight 1.0)

If you have been involved in recent app testing, you will end up with two app icons (1.0 & 3.0) on your device. You can uninstall the previous beta app (it will stop working this week).
If you previously signed up for this - but didn't accept & download the app - you will need to sign up again.

Hmm... it's not clear if I have to sign up again. I used the Testflight app thingy, does that mean I'll be given the new one anyway?

Rainbow, I had an email with a link to the new one.

If you downloaded the Talk app 1.0 from Testflight, you should get a new invitation to get Talk 3.0 via Testflight.

You will also have Testflight icon on your phone - open that to get Talk 3.0

Would like the app colour/symbol on home page to be different. I have so many blue apps it is initially hard to spot.

Would like to try this but can't get sign up page to display, link loads the Mumsnet home page instead. I'm showing as logged in and have tried the link from both mobile & desktop versions of the site (iPhone 6, iOS 8.4, Safari).

"Watching" is out of sync with "I'm On"

We still can't search by keyword or username which is a pain. Or am I missing something?

Gaaahhhh - I still can't stand the interface for thread listings.

In active threads, for instance, the list is so spaced out that I can only see about 3 thread titles at a time. It takes bloody ages just to scroll through the top 10-15 items and frankly, I just give up after the first couple of scrolls... It means I'll end up seeing fewer threads and using MN less.

Once actually in a thread, it's great. It's just the thread listings. I was really hoping things would be better in v3

Side by side screenshots of Site Stuff thread listing from mobile site (yay!) and app (boo!)... I can only see half the number of thread titles in the app - very frustrating to use

I'm being nit-picky now (probably) but on the mobile site I can get rid of "stickied" threads and I'd like to be able to do it on the app.

Many of them are of no relevance or interest to me so I'd like to be able to hide them. Would that be possible?

Ok I'm on. I realise this is probably because I'm old but I'm actually finding the spacing between posts is not an adequate way of marking different posts. I know there's a little grey box with their name on it, and I know it's quite a big space, but the thin line on the Mobile site is clearer for me.

Tbh the app may not be for me, although I like the security of it. It is secure, right?
Also can you highlight my/OP's entire post so it's more obvious for us with slightly dodgy eyes?

Now how did that happen? My typing is as dodgy as my eyes.
