We’d like your help testing a new release of the Mumsnet Talk App 3.0 (beta).

This app is for iPhones and iPads on iOS8 only at the moment.

We'd love it if you can give the app a good workout - using it as you normally do - to read and post in Talk. please do bear in mind that the app is still in beta version, so some things may not work perfectly. We have made a few changes since our last test release.

You can use any email address to sign up.
You need to be logged in to sign up. (If you can't see the sign up page, make sure you are logged in.)
It is LIVE. Any posts you make will be seen on the Mumsnet site for all to see. We'll send you an invitation to download the app (it will arrive via the TestFlight service).

Talk app users

This app will replace the current Talk app (2.1) on your phone if you have it.

Recent beta Talk app testers (Testflight 1.0)

If you have been involved in recent app testing, you will end up with two app icons (1.0 & 3.0) on your device. You can uninstall the previous beta app (it will stop working this week).
If you previously signed up for this - but didn't accept & download the app - you will need to sign up again.

Yep update working fine for me. Logged in first time and so far stayed logged in.

When a I post on the app I seem to get a lot of question marks when I want spaces.?????????

So, for example, in the post above I pressed return a few times and then typed a single question mark but it came up with multiple ones.

Back on the iPad.????Let's see.????

I've just managed to login and stay on with the version of the app updates today. (3.0 v7) Hurray! Had been also have the log in over and over again cycle. ????Thanks! Not been using app for a while because of this.

I see we're all questionable now though.

£ was working on the app before, but I was curious whether it was still working.

Ah. ????Apart from the question-marks that is!

I am finding the app rarely (maybe once every 36 hours) refreshes the I'm watching or active lists. I have tried pulling the list down, but still it doesn't refresh.

Having the question mark problem. Using 8.4.1. Using the standard keyboard

Still logged in fine - although I don't know about the question marks.????I think some more thought needs to be given to the refreshing issue even though I suspect it's not a quick fix thing. It can affect ease of use in real terms - for example, if you're on a fast-moving thread, being able to hit refresh is arguably important to keep up with a developing discussion.????

Would it be possible to make the topic name a link rather than static text?????I use it a lot on the desktop site and it was missing from the previous app.????Realise you can get to topics from the bottom but you have to know which group they've been put in and it's not always obvious, it would be much easier to be able to click on "site stuff" at the top of the thread.????Apart from that so far so happy
