We’d like your help testing a new release of the Mumsnet Talk App 3.0 (beta).

This app is for iPhones and iPads on iOS8 only at the moment.

We'd love it if you can give the app a good workout - using it as you normally do - to read and post in Talk. please do bear in mind that the app is still in beta version, so some things may not work perfectly. We have made a few changes since our last test release.

Sign up for Talk app testing here

You can use any email address to sign up.
You need to be logged in to sign up. (If you can't see the sign up page, make sure you are logged in.)
It is LIVE. Any posts you make will be seen on the Mumsnet site for all to see. We'll send you an invitation to download the app (it will arrive via the TestFlight service).

Talk app users

This app will replace the current Talk app (2.1) on your phone if you have it.

Recent beta Talk app testers (Testflight 1.0)

If you have been involved in recent app testing, you will end up with two app icons (1.0 & 3.0) on your device. You can uninstall the previous beta app (it will stop working this week).
If you previously signed up for this - but didn't accept & download the app - you will need to sign up again.

Apologies for any effects on your parenting!

The bad news is... We had a minor snafu with developer admin type things - which we are working on, and we may have a fix in due course. We'll let you know if we get it running. Blush

The good news is... We are on the brink of getting Talk app into the Apple Store. So hang tough, and you will have it back in all its glory soon. Smile Smile

We won't add any new sign ups until we know the beta app is working again.

Hi all. You'll probably find this out pretty soon...

The Talk app 3.0 is now all approved and available in the App Store.
We are chuffed. Smile

Beta testers
If you downloaded the 3.0 beta app from Testflight, this will work until October 18. You can keep it on your phone if you want, and be one of our special MN testers.

When we create beta app updates for testing, you'll get the occasional email letting you know and you can download if you like.

Old Talk app
Anyone with the old MN Talk app on their devices will get an automatic update from Apple which overwrites old with new 3.0

PassiveAggressive thanks for letting us know. It's an intermittent problem we're aware of, and have been working on a fix recently. It's more of a back end thing, so won't need an update to the app. We'll hopefully release a fix for this very soon.

LovelyFriend if you could give us an example of a thread where you can't see pictures that would be great. Thanks.
