She delivered her baby at 28 weeks-ish ... I can't find her thread to see how her and baby are doing :( I posted on it, but can't see it in 'im on' and when I do a search it looks like it might have been deleted?

Can't stop thinking about this lady bless her! Can anyone help?

could it have been that MN realised it was a TV researcher for the show posting about it on here not the poor girl herself? would that count as "sort of" trolling depending on your definition?

Oh God I remember that thread, can't remember if I posted before it was pulled.

Don't know what to think now.

Drivinghomeforchristmasornot · 30/07/2015 12:14

I don't know how she could have been a tv researcher as the thread was started long before the OBEM reference was made.
The name was definitely the same

Heathcliff27 · 30/07/2015 12:43

I don't remember the original thread, reading this though I can get the jist of it. Saw OBEM though Sad

I don't know how she could have been a tv researcher as the thread was started long before the OBEM reference was made.

Exactly. When the thread was started, she had no idea she'd end up being transferred all the way to Liverpool.

I'm really sad about this. Not only because Ollie died, but because so many people were invested in this girl and we were made to believe it was all a lie.

StillinShockAhhhhhhh · 30/07/2015 16:55

Doubt we will ever know for sure exactly what happened Sad

MsCoconut · 30/07/2015 17:10

I feel the same way seaoflove.

NotATest · 30/07/2015 17:44

This is so sad. I was one of the regular posters on the original thread (have since nc) and I felt really betrayed when MNHQ said it wasn't genuine. My blood kind of ran cold when I happened to read the OBEM synopsis yesterday evening, as all the details seemed to match.

What a tragedy - my heart goes out to Ollie James' parents Flowers.

And also what a mess if we withdrew support from the OP shortly before her baby died. I hope MNHQ get to the bottom of this. I know they generally err on the side of trust, so not sure what happened there.

I should also say that having that thread pulled seriously dented my trust in any other premature birth threads, and I've contributed a lot less than I probably would have done previously.

I am really upset that there is a possibility that nobbly was genuine and going through such an awful time only to be branded a liar. Nobbly's Ollie was born on the same day as my nephew (who was also premature but healthy) and I was really saddened and thought about the OP quite a lot at the time.

Like other PP I posted regularly on her thread and was genuinely upset when it got pulled under suspicious circumstances. It really made me second guess a lot of posters and I even discussed it in RL with my DP as I was so shocked that someone could do something like that.

I do hope that in this case it is just an awful coincidence and that as others have said, support was not withdrawn from someone who needed it.

My thoughts are with Ollie's family regardless of what actually happened with the MN thread.

MimsyBorogroves · 30/07/2015 19:46

Oh Sad

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky · 30/07/2015 20:33

I didn't see the original thread but these updates are just awful Sad.

I really do hope it's not the same person and it's just a huge coincidence.

StillinShockAhhhhhhh · 30/07/2015 20:42

I've spent all day trying to convince myself it's coincidence but I just end up convincing myself more and more that it's her Sad

AllThatGlistens · 30/07/2015 20:46

Oh bloody hell I watched that episode last night Sad

Sixweekstowait · 30/07/2015 20:53

Allstopp- because of your nephew, you rember the date of the birth of nobbly's baby - was that the same as the baby in OBEM?

StillinShockAhhhhhhh · 30/07/2015 21:32

The Ollie on obem was born 27th November if that helps?

Signoritawhocansway · 30/07/2015 21:43

So sad. Hope we can get to the bottom of it. As a preemie parent, I contribute to the preemie threads. Would be awful if the thread was pulled when she needed support. It was deffo n wales and liverpool, and she was young.

BifsWif · 30/07/2015 22:13

Reading these updates has made my blood run cold. I didn't see OBEM, but I hope and pray support wasn't taken from that poor girl when she needed it.

birdbrain21 · 30/07/2015 22:18

Sorry just marking my place to see if mnhq report back. I was really sad when the thread got deleted and just cried through lasnights episode, such a brave couple!

lottiesatitagain · 30/07/2015 22:29

Poor girl. Hope she hadn't read this thread. Nobbly Flowers

PotOfYoghurt · 30/07/2015 22:37

What a coincidental set of events, if that is indeed what it is.

That poor family.

Northernlurker · 30/07/2015 22:38

The fact that a situation in RL is similar or even identical to one described on this site does not mean that it's the RL protagonists who are posting.

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky · 30/07/2015 22:40

Who else could it be? Someone from the television show?

I hope it wasn't her.
