My last thread got full so starting a new one. This is a place to rant, support and share advice for coping in sexless marriages. All welcome, no judgment just support.

me: 40s female, been probably 3 yrs.

Now, obviously, that's what I should have done but, as Kierkegaard (known in Denmark as "Happy Mickel") said, "Life can only be understood backwards, but has to be lived forwards."

@OMGDidYouSayThat Well, it illustrates something we'd all do well to get to grips with, which is that you can't change the past, and regrets are pointless, unless they help you to change the future.

I definitely subscribe to the idea that what happens in the past gives you the knowledge to help you shape the future

I wouldn't be using Kierkegaard as a life coach! Kierkegaard TL/DR you're on your own so you'll be happier accepting that.

it is estimated that in the uk as many as 2m people in relationships have no sex at all now and up to 4m have sex less than once every 3 months.

Ok if both on same page but its hard to see so many people living in relationships where only one party has gone off it.

My relationship has been sexless virtually for 7 years now.

Sorry to hear about your situation.

That seems like a shockingly high number of people are in the same boat. I wonder if the numbers have increased with more people unable to afford to split up due to the cost of living.

Where did you get the numbers from?

@Iiirt : how long have you been in your relationship? Do you know why it's sexless?
