Hi,

I wonder if any other ladies out there might be able to advise.... I am currently going through the menopause, went onto HRT and as often happens during the menopause, my sex drive went off a cliff! And has been very low for the past few years....

Except... about two months ago I had an erotic dream and it triggered something and suddenly the urge came back so strongly! Honestly I am like a horny teenager, it's so weird and confusing! My husband got used to me never really being interested anymore, now he can't keep up lol :D

Sooo... I am looking for a vibrator. I think a penis with an upwards curve helps. I hardly ever used to be able to orgasm internally until I got with my husband and I'm lucky now that I come most times through penetrative sex. In my experience, regarding the fingers, it can be uncomfortable at first but this makes me squirt, so after one orgasm the area is exremely wet and softer. The more it continues, it feels better and better and the multiple orgasms come very quickly.

Since this thread started, which is indeed a bloody great education, I agree @Gymbunny2025, my Honey B Aphrodite has broken (overuse, maybe, ha ha!) and it’s out of the 12 month HB warranty.
So I’m now been looking for g-spot replacement to use with my other toys.

I road-tested the Whisperer (which does live up to its name - nice and quiet.) It's battery-operated and there was a battery in it when it arrived so I thought happy days, let's go!

First thought as I started using it - hmmm it feels nice but it's no lemon toy! 😄 The vibrations, while obviously pleasing, lacked the wow factor of clit suction. However, I thought let's give it a chance and it did thrum away quite nicely, building me up to a climax when suddenly.... "bzzzztt...." - completely dead!!! 😫

My own fault, shoulda replaced the batteries before I began and I am sure the fact they were nearly dead made it lose some of its power. Quick update - managed to get the love egg working! I still haven't tested it so will let you know when I do - I did try cycling through the settings just holding it in my hand and it did sound quite loud and buzzy - I guess that would be muffled once inserted.

One of the fun things you are supposed to be able to do with a partner is use it in public but imagine being out somewhere and people nearby becoming aware of a buzzing sound coming from the direction of my pants!! 😳😂
I guess in a loud bar it wouldn't matter..

Sooooo.... tonight I finally got around to testing out the love egg...

And tbh I am a bit underwhelmed. I would say it's pleasantly titillating but no more than that. Of course, these things usually take time to get used to. But with this, there was a definite feeling of "is that it?" I used it internally and the buzz is very muted so yes, it is very quiet, as advertised. Unlike with clitoral vibrators, I preferred the higher settings and the irregular rhythms that either started low then built up, or buzzed fiercely in short bursts. It did feel nice, but there is no way I would orgasm from that.

Tbf, a lot of the reviews did say that it was unlikely to lead to orgasm on its own and for some people it was more about just getting you in the mood. I used my lemon with it and I came and yes, using the love egg enhanced the experience a bit but not sure whether it made that much difference to just the lemon on its own (my orgasms with the lemon are always next level anyway).

So, overall a bit disappointing and I would say, don't waste your money! But then again, we are all different and some reviewers raved about it!

Of all my recent purchases, the lemon and the Peachy mini rabbit remain firm faves, Lately I have also been looking at the Honey Birdette Aphrodite as recommended by @SittingKitty ... and tempted by that for my next purchase, whenever that might be!

I don’t think I’ve ever tried a love egg type toy but I would imagine I’d have a similar experience. I don’t see the point of them! I do have a friend who has used in public places as you say though. Don’t get that either 😂

Well that’s put me right off then @Menomaman! They (the eggs) sounds very underwhelming. Ahhh well, we live and learn. And this thread has been very useful for that. My Apropdite died recently. And having researched replacements, I think there might be better (and cheaper!) on the market, if it’s G-spot you’re after. The LH mantric one I mentioned above looks good.

@Gymbunny2025 I think I thought it might add something when used in conjunction with a clit stim toy. If it does, it's subtle!
