Found women's stockings in our laundry basket

Hi all, probably a stupid question to ask but I found a pair of women's stockings in our laundry basket at home today. OH is away for work trip and my heart sank. I've sent photo asking what they are and who they belong to and he's not replied . I'm not imagining things right ?

Are you ever out for extended periods of time whilst he's home alone?
Could he be a cross dresser?

Do you think they’ve fallen out of a pocket? Why on earth would he put them in the laundry? Or is there any chance that he’s entertained someone in your house and she’s put them there?

They have probably just been discarded in the wrong bin.
I know I've chucked all mine out, so many High Street banks have closed their branches now there is little or no use for them.

It sounds like he could have accidentally picked them up with his clothes if he’s been naked with another woman or packed with his previous work trip bag.

Lots of convenience stores are opening branches of the post office in store - you may still have a use for them

Not same situation but proof anything can happen with tights.
At office job big big company about 15 yrs ago. A male employee opened an inter- office envelope- for in-company sending of paper documents. In his envelope was a pair of worn tights. He was puzzled and a bit disgusted basically getting used tights sent to him from a colleague.

Not sure if this process is still common, there were many spaces for names, you cross out yours and write the other persons name & location and it gets delivered. If your office had too many, internal post would take to mailroom.

Office all mystified, but concluded that a woman, somewhere in company removed her tights and stuffed in an envelope and prob chucked in bin. She wanted to disguise them for modesty ? Then someone was oh, look this shouldn’t be in bin, and chucked in inte-office post and his name was on it - not crossed out.

However, finding at home …. No explanation. If it’s an OW, she wanted them to be found.

Well OP, by sending that message you have given him time to think up a cock and bull story to try to explain it away, but I think there are only two likely scenarios for this 1 Affair, 2 Transvestite.

Of the two I think an affair would be easier to deal with, and have more chance of success, and I say that as someone who’s DH had an affair, and who’s best friend found her DH dressed in her underwear. if they were chucked away, there’s no jizz. Female did not put them back on. If she wore them without underpants you can probably collect dna for a 23 & me. Clean nitrile gloves, distilled water, sterilized small beaker sterilized scissors and sterilized tweezers, clean work area, mask . With clean tools and work area. Cut of crotch part which contacted her bits (this won’t work if she also wore underpants).
You are going to make the “spit” for dna test
Cut out the crotch bit that has female fluid, put in the clean beaker with small amount distilled water. Let it soak a bit to get the dna into the water. Use tweezers to squeeze the fabric. Pour liquid into collection tube. Make a fake name etc and send it off. . Hope to catch the dna and find a match

They are definitely female and small size , he couldn't squeeze into them. Our DD is a toddler so not hers . I wfh most days and he doesn't . I was rushing through the laundry basket and put it all in the wash without paying attention. It was when I was putting he clothes out to dry that I noticed them. I've stupidly been feeling sad all day since I found them

That’s not stupid, it’s perfectly understandable. If your gut is telling you it’s off, it probably is. It probably feels like your world has shifted slightly on its axis - it has!, so acknowledge your feelings and be prepared for some difficult conversations. Then you can consider what’s next. Sending a hug, it’s horrible waiting to know what you’re dealing with.

He's just replied he doesn't know where they've come from and started talking about other random things. He's back home in a few days, I've gone from missing him when he left this morning to resenting him now. I feel so stupid
