How often do you have sex?

So we were on a night out recently and one of the girls asked how often everyone’s been having sex with their husbands/partners as her and DH are going through a dry spell. I said DH (41) and I (27) have sex at least once a day bar the first 2/3 days of my period and usually we can go 2/3 times a day on the weekends

everyone was really shocked and said that was an insane amount. They were once a week max most of them. We’ve been married 2 years, together 5 and have a 5 month old baby. We used to be at it anywhere between 1-4 times a day before I was pregnant and even during the pregnancy we had sex right up until 4 hours before my waters broke.

genuinely just curious to know how often couples are having sex as i think I think it’s more than it actually is?

Like most things in life, it's different strokes for different folks. Some couples (you seemingly) have loads of sex, others not so much. For most couples it varies, there will be dry spells and ‘hot’ spells. Only one thing matters, that couples are happy with their sex life. If they aren't then it's something to be addressed. Otherwise it's a non event.

3 times a day with a 5 month old baby? I'm pretty sure that is very much on the higher end of the spectrum. I think when mine were that age, sex was something we snuck in on the very rare occasions when the baby was asleep but not in actual physical contact with my body, and I didn't fall asleep as soon as I got horizontal.

You are bonking mad! How long have you been together? That is a first few months kind of regime to me....... but fairplay to ya, enjoy!

@Pussygaloregalapagos weve been together 5 years. I remember at the start people kept saying awh itll wear off etc but I genuinely just fancy him so much.
@Tinyant no not saying it matters at all, I know for some couples sex is a massive deal and for others it’s not, I’m just curious

We tend to have sex once / twice a day threw the week. Depends on a weekend if we go to a club or not. We enjoy sex tho we have a five year old together 15 years

Once or twice a week, I do think once a day sounds a lot but again all depends on different people I guess
I don't think we could find the time, by the time we get to bed most evenings after full time work, hobbies, housework, settling DD etc we are ready to crash out straight away

Daily would be perfect for me but it’s been 7 years 🤣

I enjoy sex in the moment but I have to get in the mood, and most of the time I can't really be arsed and would rather go to sleep.

Woman in my 40s. Probably 2 or 3 times, maybe 4 occasionally during the course of a weekend. Very rarely in the week; l get too tired and my brain is in “work mode”.

1 to 3 times a year. We used to have sex up to 6 times a day pre DC. 3 times a day with a 5 months?! I'd be shocked too just because of your DC age. I had no energy with a 5 months old.

2/3 times a week here with a week off during period as it’s heavy.

You do have sex A LOT compared to most people. I work in healthcare and ask everyone about their sexual health for my assessments and I’ve never met anyone having sex 2/3 times a day every weekend and daily bar teenagers. And with a small baby! How do you have time for anything else 😂

Sometimes a few times a week.. sometimes once a month, sometimes longer I’m sure.

In my last relationship it was 2-3 times a month. No kids, and not a particularly stressful life, but my sex drive took an unexpected (and as yet unexplained) nose dive, which ultimately led to the relationship ending.

Would love to be able to do it several times a week - I remember really enjoying it back when I had a sex drive.

With ex husband it was everyday but no quality to it at all.

new DP has a low sex drive so only about 4x a month but it’s fantastic when we have it

We have it once a day or once every few days.

So, you say you have sex up to 4 times a day. Let’s assume that you work. You get home at 6pm and have all the jobs to do that life brings, like making dinner, eating dinner, clearing up, feeding baby, getting stuff ready for the next day, blah blah. Let’s say you go to bed at 11pm. So you’d be having sex 4 times between 6pm and 11pm, between all your chores? I’m sorry, but I call BS.

Good god 3 times a day I'd have raging cystitis!

2 kids under 3 over here and when we're not TTC I'd say I'm proud of us if we manage once a month!

Are your friends a bit older than you? Do you work as it's much easier to find the time if you're both home all day or wfh even
