I met a guy on online dating. He asked where I lived. I told him my whereabouts. He then responded saying 'lots of ducks to feed there.'
Does anyone knows what he means by this?

Are you near a pond?

ISeeARedDoorAndIWantToBreakIn · 04/09/2023 21:45

Do you live in a wildlife sanctuary? Or a rubber duck factory?

hoophoophooray · 04/09/2023 21:46

Village round here is called Ducklington. Do you live there, perchance?

enjoyingscience · 04/09/2023 21:46

I think he means that there are ducks near you. Maybe he wants to feed them with you on a date.

Or maybe it’s a weird sex thing.

Magicisuponus · 04/09/2023 21:47

It probably means he’s to be avoided..

smartiesneberhadtheanswer · 04/09/2023 21:47

🤣🤣🤣

Pls let this be a new weird code

I think he likes feeding ducks

JaneJeffer · 04/09/2023 21:47

Do you live in a place called Foie Gras?

Iheartbobross · 04/09/2023 21:48

I'm so sorry OP but this thread is making me howl!

jallopeno · 04/09/2023 21:48

He likes ducks?

SquareOne01 · 04/09/2023 21:49

You live near a pond? That’s probably it.

BlackberryCrumbs · 04/09/2023 21:49

Anyone else just stick 'lots of ducks to feed' into Google to see if it was a weird sex reference? 😂😂

Iheartbobross · 04/09/2023 21:50

I think he likes ducks too! I'm hoping he's just really nervous and hopes you'll go feed the ducks with him, which is actually quite sweet but I'm a hopeless romantic!

AtrociousCircumstance · 04/09/2023 21:50

Please ask him and report back.

Sadless · 04/09/2023 21:50

Could be he's talking to lots of women in your area

AliceOlive · 04/09/2023 21:50

He’s a duck farmer

JaneJeffer · 04/09/2023 21:50

Get your ducks in a row, just in case

Iheartbobross · 04/09/2023 21:51

AtrociousCircumstance · 04/09/2023 21:50

Please ask him and report back.

This!

AliceOlive · 04/09/2023 21:51

Maybe it’s called duck ranching, not farming.

AtrociousCircumstance · 04/09/2023 21:51

Do you live in Aylesbury?

ThickSkinnedSoWhat · 04/09/2023 21:52

God he's quackers (yes, I'm well aware that was the oldest, most rubbish and predictable joke over 😂)

gamerchick · 04/09/2023 21:54

I think you need to ask. Really want to know now.

Horriblewoman · 04/09/2023 21:54

man ”lots of ducks to feed there”

OP “ what the hell does that mean?”

Man “Are you quackers? it means you live right by a lake with ducks in”

FoxtrotOscarFoxtrotOscar · 04/09/2023 21:54

Let's hope he picks up the bill on your first date.

I have honesty not lived a sheltered life. Believe. Far from it.

I can hand on heart say I've never heard of "ducks to feed" being a weird innuendo or euphemism.

I'd say he's genuinely interested in wildlife and maybe hoping you are too 😂
