Really? I heard this today from a 28 year old woman I know. She says she's done it as have all her friends, with men they're hoping to develop a relationship with and in the early stages of relationships.

Never have, never will. Not even in a 20 year relationship. Christ what are we teaching girls and young women if they think this is ok?

I agree with you, but once you find your nudes on Reddit with your real name and company you work for plus social media links you may (or may not) feel different .

Depends also on your line of work of course. Many professional fields (teaching, police, working with children etc…will sack you for this

Interesting - the woman I was chatting to about this does work with children. It's not her main job, but she works with teenagers and youngsters in a camp-style environment a time or two a week.

I wouldn't because the chances of a relationship being "the one" is limited. There's always a strong chance that it will end with me thinking the guy is an arsehole. And I don't want arseholes having photos of me.

Agreed.
But if it had been around when I was younger, I probably would have done it. Alas.

EmmaH2022 · 22/08/2022 13:47

Although....I wouldn't want someone sending me pics even in an LTR.

Me neither. I broke up with my partner at the end of 2021 and we had been together since university, ie before smartphones or social media, all we did was text and email when we first got together. We might have said mildly saucy things on the phone, but never filthy and never in writing. Image sharing has never even been brought up in our relationship.

I'm really happy being single but if I ever did go on the dating scene, this will be a good way to filter out guys who I don't want to take things further with. And if they're all wanting these images, and I end up living with cats, that's better than the alternative.

They're probably the 21st century version of women sending photos to guys away in the war, men sharing pictures down the pit of their partners (I've been told it happened) and talking about them.

Just is not ever going to be part of my dating strategy, if I ever get around to it, and I'm prepared to be eternally single if this is what's expected.

I’ve never done it and never will. DDs, at University don’t either. One was asked for a photo when she showered. She sent a pic of her hair piled up with shampoo. He gave a up asking. The other one gives a firm NO, off you go, fuck off.

If I was ever asked to send a picture of my pussy, I would send this.

She’s totally playing with fire by sending those nude face showing pictures to random strangers.

No it's not the same woman. The 28 year old works in the kids' camps, she hasn't sent face shots.

The 42 year old is the full frontal sender, she doesn't work.

It's just all a bit desperate though isn't it.

Surely having everything dished up on a plate before you've even met the guy is a big turn off for him relationship-wise. ? Where's the mystery and enjoyment of getting to know someone when you've sent them a close up of your fanjo within minutes of 'swiping right' .. (or is it left ?

It sounds like that old saying about men sleeping around and marrying virgins. They lose interest in people who make it all too easy.

They’re called “men with a Madonna/whore complex”. I’ve met a few throughout my life. They’re a nightmare.

Nope, never have - never will.
Been prude shamed for it, but don’t give a damn.

I think prude shaming is awful, but as is 'slut' shaming which in essence is what posters on this thread are doing.

Blackmail relies on shame and I refuse to accept that being a sexual being is shameful. The judgement should be reserved for those who share and disrespect the sender.

Completely agree with this, and to be honest the sheer volume of nudes takes aways the blackmail issue, it is only those that grow up in puritanical families that will have this shame and thus the ability to be blackmailed.

Sandra1984 · 22/08/2022 15:27

Such a naive statement. You obviously don’t work for the police or in childcare.

Sandra1984 · 22/08/2022 15:29

corporate field or are a lawyer. You would get sacked in a second for having a porn video or internet nudes.

SommerTen · 22/08/2022 15:32

I don't send pics as I feel I am quite fat so i feel I look better in some clothes!! But even when im thin I don't have confidence.

Once when man asked me to send him a pic I did send him a photo of my pussy.. cat!!
He was not happy as he hated cats.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/08/2022 15:32

Every generation has to find out men can’t be trusted for themselves. We never learn.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/08/2022 15:33

That is a cute pussy though @ImJustMadAboutSaffron 😜

Free porn for all their friends is what it is. If you're lucky. Otherwise it's free porn for the whole internet.

Not if they were private and shared without consent.

Perhaps you could send her a link to this article to shock out of her foolishness.

I think anyone who sends nudes (nowadays) should assume that they will be uploaded for trash to masturbate to and comment over.
never have, never will.

Seriously, you have to ask?

MichaelAndEagle · 22/08/2022 17:46

If this had been a thing when I was younger there is a good chance I'd have done it tbh.
I would definitely have been talked into it by a boy convincing me I was hot, a mix of that and prude shaming, wanting to be cool.... pretty sure I'd have sent something.
I'm 41 now, was married for 12 years and during that time we shared pictures from time to time. Just keeping things fresh I suppose, I don't regret that. And even though it ended quite badly I don't think he'd ever share them.
If dating, I might send an unidentifiable picture I.e. no face if it was a bit of fun, but not if I felt pressured in any way.
I don't think your friend was wrong saying most people do, I reckon that might be true.

Fuzzyhippo · 22/08/2022 18:41

I've never done it. I'm not confident enough to have any photo taken with my clothed body in, let alone without clothes..
