Really? I heard this today from a 28 year old woman I know. She says she's done it as have all her friends, with men they're hoping to develop a relationship with and in the early stages of relationships.

Never have, never will. Not even in a 20 year relationship. Christ what are we teaching girls and young women if they think this is ok?

That being said, DP and I do exchange nudes. We're in our 30s and have been together for 12 years though, I probably wouldn't do it with a stranger.

It definitely used to be common, I don't know if fewer people do it now it's so known to have a risk of people publishing your photos etc.

I met my other half on a dating website and never have we ever sent nudes or anything of the sort. I think it is normalised with the younger dating generation while not being in the least bit normal. We are in an established relationship now and never has there been a request either end for any kind of nudie pics.

I'm 26 and I'd say it's 50:50 amongst my friends. The one's who do admit to sending them to strangers tend to be the ones who are serial daters and never seem to settle down or have long term relationships, so I suppose it's all down to personality and dating style.

Imagine it's 1985 and you meet someone in a club and swap numbers, go out on a date and he calls and asks you to strip off and take a picture in the mirror with an old fashioned camera with one of those square flash things, get it developed in Max Spielman and send it. You'd think he was nuts!

It’s very common know I have friends that do it, I never have personally I know a lot of men share these things and I’ve had friends that it’s happened to after they’ve split so it’s a no from me

Nope. Might have sent a few to my husbands who I’ve been with for 14 years but drilled into DD’s and explained exactly why they must never. The mindset of everyone does it just normalises it and helps to pressurise those that aren’t comfortable. It’s a risk just having them on your own phone or laptop incase they get hacked.

TBF I think quite a large part of Polaroid's profit was nudes.

No development necessary.

I'm 26 and I'd say me and all my friends have done it and received them back from men too. I've never shown any I've received but one friend did show me one photo she received from a guy because the size of his dick was shockingly big.

I've lost count of the amount I've sent out, and videos. Thankfully never seen them online.

I think I was 15 the first time I sent a nude.

Me and DP both send photos to each other before we'd even met. Although I never put my face in them these days so if they did get leaked it won't have my face in it at least!

Tbh, the thought that what I've sent could have been shown to friends doesn't bother me, because I've never been made aware of it or had any comments made about my body by someone mates, so even if they have... It hasn't affected me

I like to send him things when he's at work, although yes most of it was from when we lived apart.

This. If you took photos with nudes into to be developed,you'd get stickers all over them, and possibly conplaints from Boots or wherever you got them done, especially if they were dick pics or other intimate nudes. It's definitely what Polaroids were for.

Each to their own I wouldn’t like it I’ve known a few men who talk about having WhatsApp groups where they Send videos and pics they received off women to each other but I’ve never heard of women doing the same.

I have just seen the BBC/Panorama doc about this and felt sad

Some women never knew their photos have been shared or that they had been filmed

Sad men tbh

If I was a women in my teens and twenties I would not send nudes just to be sure that they don't go anywhere else ☹️
