Did you have sex on your wedding night?

That's the question, just out of interest. We didn't, and I'm now going back through our relationship analysing why we are where we are now. And I just wondered if that was still a big deal or not, the wedding night thing.

@VienneseWhirligig

No, too pissed. Made up for it on the honeymoon though Grin
Me too. In fact I conceived on my honeymoon. I was 22. Smile

Yes of course. We felt we couldn't not. To us your wedding night is extremely special and could never be replicated another time.
I was tired and pregnant at at 4am when we went to bed I was exhausted, we both were. But we wanted what to us was a 'proper' wedding night, which meant consummating the marriage.

No we were drunk and tired. It did end up a sexless marriage until the marriage ended but I don't think it was connected.

FolkyFoxFace · 06/02/2021 18:09

We tried, but we we had been drinking since the first glass of champagne at 7.30am so didn't get very far. 😂 We were that weird kind of drunk that isn't falling over pissed, and you can still remember everything...but just silly and a bit useless! We did the next day when we arrived at our honeymoon though.

Roselilly36 · 06/02/2021 18:22

No too tired!

Mrsmummy90 · 06/02/2021 18:24

We were absolutely shattered so we had a 5 minute quickie just to consummate the marriage 😂 (and then fell asleep immediately)

PotatoesPastaAndBread · 06/02/2021 18:27

No. We sat in bed and opened our cards and presents Grin

YanTanTethera123 · 06/02/2021 18:37

Nope, sat in the bed and fell asleep in seconds. Woke up next morning still in wedding dress, hair up etc.

sadpapercourtesan · 06/02/2021 18:38

Nope, we were too pissed Grin

We did the next morning, with a bottle of champagne for afters!

Bananadramallama · 06/02/2021 18:39

Yes and got pregnant that night Grin

rosesarered2021 · 06/02/2021 18:42

No. We raced back to the hotel so that I could watch the end of the Eurovision Song Contest !
Should have known we'd end up getting divorced !!! LOL!!

HeadNorth · 06/02/2021 18:42

@hellywelly3

We nipped off for a quickie during the evening reception!
Snap! Grin
Comps83 · 06/02/2021 19:09

@Wakingup55643 still married to the twat, still fighting
I don't think what occurs on your wedding night really has any baring on your marriage tho

wintermoths · 06/02/2021 19:31

No, and I can absolutely guarantee that not having on your wedding day had nothing to do with your subsequent marriage breakdown.

I mean this kindly, but you really need to look elsewhere for why things didn't work out to see if there is anything to learn for future relationships.
