Did you have sex on your wedding night?

That's the question, just out of interest. We didn't, and I'm now going back through our relationship analysing why we are where we are now. And I just wondered if that was still a big deal or not, the wedding night thing.

No I had a UTI, was a few days later when I had recovered.

user86386427 · 06/02/2021 08:15

Yes, I felt like not having sex on your wedding night would be a bad omen of sorts!

RandyGiles06 · 06/02/2021 08:17

No, DH was too pissed. My mum had to help me out of my dress because he had passed out in the middle of the bed. I remember being so angry at him that night but after a few years and kids it doesn’t seem that big of a deal anymore.

Bumpsadaisie · 06/02/2021 08:17

We did but it wasn't the best. Thought we should make the effort though🤣

GameSetMatch · 06/02/2021 08:17

No, I really wanted to but he didn’t. I wanted a shower too but wasn’t allowed I just had to go to sleep because it was too late apparently.

diamondpony80 · 06/02/2021 08:21

Nope. Was 7 months pregnant and DH too drunk. I always did wonder if we were in the minority not doing it on our wedding night but it seems not!

Parky04 · 06/02/2021 08:24

No. Way too tired! Next day on honeymoon was a different story though!!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 06/02/2021 08:25

Nah, too tired too drunk. DTD the next morning then lots on honeymoon. Doesnt worry me at all

itshappened · 06/02/2021 08:29

Yes we did. But we were both drunk and it took a long time to figure out how to get me out of my dress, so definitely wasn't romantic or particularly good! We were too hungover the next morning to make up for it, so I'm glad we did. I remember my husband coming to find me at about 3am to take me to bed Blush

Trinacham · 06/02/2021 08:50

No. We were exhausted that night! I don't know how anyone can after a big wedding. I believe we did do it the day/night after.

needadvice54321 · 06/02/2021 09:01

Oh yes! But I was 5 weeks pregnant so not drinking and DH isn't a big drinker so neither of us were drunk. Probably the best session we'd ever had ShockGrin

unmarkedbythat · 06/02/2021 09:02

Yes, of course

LaVitaPuoEsserePiuBella · 06/02/2021 09:04

Many years ago....it was late and we'd drunk too much but the next morning and on honeymoon....oooooh yes, lots.....

NotQuiteUsual · 06/02/2021 09:05

We did. Well technically it wasn't our wedding day anymore, it was the day after our wedding, but we needed to eat our takeaway first and by that point it was 1am!! There was no way we were missing the chance for wedding night sex, even if we kept finding random hair pins and eyelash extensions in places they shouldn't ever be.

harknesswitch · 06/02/2021 09:05

No, too pissed, tired and we'd eaten too much. We did in the morning though

2021mumma · 06/02/2021 09:05

Yes and I think it was the best we’ve ever had!

SendMeHome · 06/02/2021 09:06

Yep, at about 4am when we finally made it to bed. The next morning was better; but it’s a nice memory Grin

rc22 · 06/02/2021 09:15

No DH was very drunk and fell asleep the moment he arrived in the room!! I took my wedding hair grips out, cleansed all the wedding make up off, put my pyjamas on, made a cup of tea and watched telly!! I remember feeling incredibly happy.

Lavenderee · 06/02/2021 09:19

Yes, we did. We went up to bed at about 1am.

Bunnyrun5 · 06/02/2021 09:21

Oh goodness it was true love making even though we’d lived together for 15 years actually being married felt so special for us. It was very emotional we still talk about now and we’re 60!!

Mindymomo · 06/02/2021 09:25

No, too tired as it was a long, hot day. We both also needed a shower, but were too exhausted even for that. We lived together for 9 years previously and my parents were in the hotel room next door one side and my in laws the other side.

Redruby2020 · 06/02/2021 09:26

@VienneseWhirligig Sounds like a good wedding to me 😁

Redruby2020 · 06/02/2021 09:28

@Onedropbeat Aww that sounds so nice, just being able to do those things together.

DinosaurDiana · 06/02/2021 09:30

Yes. I was knackered after a loooong day and we were already living together, but still managed it 😉

Chasingsquirrels · 06/02/2021 09:30

1st: yes
2nd: no
