Did you have sex on your wedding night?

That's the question, just out of interest. We didn't, and I'm now going back through our relationship analysing why we are where we are now. And I just wondered if that was still a big deal or not, the wedding night thing.

No, DH drunkenly ranted at me while I peeled a blood clot off my big toe where he'd accidentally kicked a part of my nail off.

rooarsome · 05/02/2021 23:53

I was shattered, but we did in the morning. Just so happens our son was conceived then as well 😂

TheSmallAssassin · 05/02/2021 23:53

No, we ended up sleeping in a single bed in the same room as our children at the in-laws'. We all slept there as it was close to where we had our evening do and we were leaving the kids there while we went on honeymoon. We were meant to be sleeping on an inflatable mattress in another room, but couldn't be bothered to blow it up when we got back!

We were sober at the end of the evening - I'd done so much chatting and dancing I only had one glass of wine. Had a lovely time 😁

hellywelly3 · 05/02/2021 23:54

We nipped off for a quickie during the evening reception!

TheSmallAssassin · 05/02/2021 23:54

Wrong emoji! It was 😁 not 😬

cinders15 · 05/02/2021 23:55

No both times!😂
1st DH was pissed and 2nd time I was 7 months pregnant and we'd just flown to Scotland so knackered!

And they say romance is dead Grin

No we didn’t, nor did we have it on our honeymoon as I had thrush after having antibiotics for a water infection. Although it wasn’t our full honeymoon it was just a long weekend away until our ‘proper’ honeymoon a few months later.

Wafflewife · 06/02/2021 00:01

Yes absolutely. I think it's special.

Chimboo · 06/02/2021 00:02

Pahahaha no. We had a homemade festival wedding in a neighbour’s field, with live music and all sorts and despite the fact the local kids had made our tent look “beautiful” I took myself back to my house with my dog at 3:30 am and fell asleep on my living room floor 😂😂😂😂😂 husband DID sleep in the tent, didn’t realise I wasn’t there as well. We find the whole thing hilarious. Someone else conceived a baby in THEIR tent though 😂

MNerGoneRogueAgain · 06/02/2021 00:03

We had a bit of a fumble.

He's more of a morning guy anyway....

Tomatobear · 06/02/2021 00:03

No, 39 weeks pregnant and we ate too much cake Blush

MiddlesexGirl · 06/02/2021 00:04

Yep. But was pretty tired. Felt like the done thing though 😂

AnneLovesGilbert · 06/02/2021 00:06

Not the first one. It was a sign.

Yes the second one, while I was still in my dress. Still going strong Grin

vulturedudess · 06/02/2021 00:07

Four times! Unheard of for us. Normally a once a night kind of couple!

We did have a very small and quiet wedding though.

IdblowJonSnow · 06/02/2021 00:08

Nope! He was so pissed. Snored all night.

VampireTheBuffetSlayer · 06/02/2021 00:08

Yep, and I did my back in. Friends found it hilarious.

NotFabulousDarling · 06/02/2021 00:10

No we fell asleep. My (very painful) period started an hour after the legal bit so I wanted nothing less than sex. Grin

LookMoreCloselier · 06/02/2021 00:11

No, had every intention to but got back to the honeymoon suite to find a bottle of champagne on ice, would be rude not to drink it, but that just finished us off and we passed out, me still in my wedding dress ffs. Suite was wasted on us, should probably go back for an anniversary. Then we didnt have sex the next night either, tbf we had a 4 month old. We finally did it a few days after the wedding once we got to Spain.

B1rdflyinghigh · 06/02/2021 00:12

No. Far too tired.

DillyDallyDoodle · 06/02/2021 00:13

Yes but quietly as we had our sleep regressive 4 month old sleeping in a cot next to us (she gave us a hour) in the honeymoon suite as I refused to leave her with anyone overnight, silly bint that I was Grin.

VinylDetective · 06/02/2021 00:16

No, we were knackered and drunk.

Mamanyt · 06/02/2021 00:24

First marriage yes, second marriage no. BOTH marriages ended in divorce, so that probably isn't a factor. Wedding days are generally pretty stressful, and tiring. I wouldn't put any emphasis on either party just being entirely incapable of giving a good tinker's damn.

RagzReturnsRebooted · 06/02/2021 00:26

No, I had a stomach bug and DH passed out on the sofa.

MumsTheWordFact · 06/02/2021 00:31

Certainly did! I've had sex after and/or during every wedding I've ever been to including my own!
