I've been seeing him for 5 months now.
This last two weeks have been awful.
Him picking and choosing when he spoke, being short with me,cold etc
He said you remind me too much of my ex.
Then today he just said "I want nothing to do with you anymore"
No explanation

Sounds like a lucky escape Flowers

restingbitchface30 · 19/01/2020 20:36

Onwards and upwards hun. Sounds like a wrongun. Just be thankful you didn’t waste any more time on him

PicsInRed · 19/01/2020 20:38

Sounds like a devalue/discard.

PumpkinP · 19/01/2020 20:41

Only 5 months? Seriously move on

redexpat · 19/01/2020 20:48

I think youve dodged a bullet.

deedds · 19/01/2020 20:51

He is so cold.
He made me think everything is my fault.
He made me jealous then told me off for being jealous.

I'd be pouring myself a large glass of champagne and thanking the heavens he's gone.
And then setting my bar higher for next time, and not waiting for some twat like him to dump me, but doing the dumping first.

Crazycatperson · 19/01/2020 20:52

He sounds like a bloody nightmare. Being cold and choosing when to speak?! He has made you miserable recently. Good riddance to him. Hope you're okay x

AnyFucker · 19/01/2020 20:52

So, you are taking him at his word then

Are you ?

deedds · 19/01/2020 20:57

I haven't text since.
I asked him what had happened
I said I respect your decision but can you tell me what I did wrong ?
Then I sent a few more as he just blanked me.
I just wanted a reason
I've stopped now.
He's not worth it.

theprincessmittens · 19/01/2020 21:03

Believe me, nothing he could say would make you feel better. I once forced an ex to tell me "why' and got a horrible total character assassination, every word of which I can still remember 15 years later.

4 years later - and only because I ran into him by chance - he told me he did it to stop me contacting him. But the damage it did to my self confidence over that 4 years, I can never recover.

Just be grateful the awfulness is over, it's still early in a new year and you aren't going to be wasting any more time.

redcarbluecar · 19/01/2020 21:06

No, he doesn’t sound worth it. Hope you can move on quickly and decisively.

followingonfromthat · 19/01/2020 21:10

You didn't do anything wrong at all, he is a nasty piece of work who treats women like dirt and you are well rid of him.

RB68 · 19/01/2020 21:11

The reason is - he is an emotionally abusive arse. There you go - the reason

TorkTorkBam · 19/01/2020 21:11

Christ, you texted this dickwipe to ask what you did wrong! I can tell you what you did wrong. You misplaced your self respect and common sense. Go find it and reattach firmly.

OurChristmasMiracle · 19/01/2020 21:20

He sounds like he would just mess with your head tbh and you are better off out of it. When he said “you remind me too much of my ex” I would have been gone at that point

mamato3lads · 19/01/2020 21:31

Ah fuck him

Blokes like this thrive on attention....he wants you to message him...to keep on at him....beg for answers or whatever

Just fuck him off and move on. Twat

deedds · 19/01/2020 21:35

I regret asking all the "what did I do wrong " questions to him.
I even said "can you tell me so I can move on"
He said -move on from what ?
As if this meant nothing

HollowTalk · 19/01/2020 21:39

Please don't have anything to do with him now. You haven't done anything wrong. He's just enjoying making you unhappy. If you ignore him now he'll come running back, so that he can hurt you some more. That's why you have to block him.

Don't tell him he's dumped. Don't say anything. Just block and throw away anything that reminds you of him.

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2020 21:42

He's a narc , you had a lucky escape, go no contact block him on everything .

damnthatanxiety · 19/01/2020 21:43

OP, accept that there are people with personality disorders. They will never behave in a rational way. it's nothing to do with you.

deedds · 19/01/2020 21:43

I thought to myself if you want nothing to do with me,just block me?
If you hate the drama, block me.
He hasn't

OP posts:
Drogonssmile · 19/01/2020 21:47

Block him first. He won't expect that!

Thestrangestthing · 19/01/2020 21:48

You need to stop thinking about it. You are on a slippery slope to contacting him again. Delete his number and everything else of your phone. He is playing with you and its working.

Willow2017 · 19/01/2020 21:48

but can you tell me what I did wrong ?
Answer is nothing.
He is a manipulative got.
You are well.rid.

Dump and Block on everything and be glad you.found out who.he is now.
He expects you to wait/go crawling back asking what you can do better next time. Stuff him.
