I've been seeing him for 5 months now.
This last two weeks have been awful.
Him picking and choosing when he spoke, being short with me,cold etc
He said you remind me too much of my ex.
Then today he just said "I want nothing to do with you anymore"
No explanation

Yes block him first.

Thestrangestthing · 19/01/2020 21:52

Block him first. He won't expect that!

No, don't play silly games like that. Who cares what he would think, or what he will be expecting. Block him and delete him for your own sanity, not to get one up.

Bluewater1 · 19/01/2020 21:58

He sounds like a narcissist, run for the hills and be relieved it ended this soon Flowers
You deserve better

deedds · 19/01/2020 22:01

After looking at the narcissist traits I think he is.
He has zero empathy for anyone,he never has any emotions.

Thank God you have realised OP please block him on everything you have had a lucky escape, he will try to get you back don't fall for it , good luck.

Nearlyalmost50 · 19/01/2020 22:07

It's a bit worrying you were trying to hang onto someone who was treating you very badly.

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2020 22:10

Narcs do that to us , it's all gaslighting, manipulation & guilt inducing BS.

BumbleBeee69 · 19/01/2020 22:10

OP... congratulate yourself on your very lucky escape... Smile

this guy is playing mind games ... block him and cherish your great escape Flowers

Pennyandme · 19/01/2020 23:04

He sounds avoidant to me.
Go total no contact, in a few weeks you’ll feel in a much better place

Windmillwhirl · 19/01/2020 23:11

He sounds like an asshole to me.

Purplewhitelie · 19/01/2020 23:20

I have found men to be far more bitchy and mind players than women due to their massive little egos. You are well rid.

Have a beautiful year!

PixieDustt · 19/01/2020 23:53

What a nasty little pig!
You had a lucky escape.
I can bet money on trying to crawl back when you blank him though

Jux · 20/01/2020 00:16

oh please block him before he blocks you. Please! It would be good for you to do it and for him to discover you've done it.

LuluJakey1 · 20/01/2020 00:18

Please don't waste your time and energy analysing him. Move on, move forward, look after yourself and never have anything to do with him ever again.

Honeyroar · 20/01/2020 01:42

The only thing that you did wrong was picking a loser. He’s cold, mean, rude and selfish. The best thing he ever did for you was end it. You don’t need any reasons from him, they clearly will be bullshit anyway and will just knock your confidence. Pick yourself up and dust yourself off...

thewooster · 20/01/2020 06:31

Please don't grovel to this weasel of a man, he is not worthy of you. Hold your head high OP and don't talk to him again, even if he apologies profusely, love bombs you etc. He will turn on you again in the future. You are well rid.

thekaiserswife · 20/01/2020 06:48

Take back the power, block him on everything first. Move on and enjoy your life, he sounds like a broken human.

deedds · 20/01/2020 08:12

I said to him that fair enough if he doesn't want things to progress further that's ok but how about friends.
He said all I do is "blag his head"
Friends don't do that.
He's twisting everything, the only reason I might "blag" his head is because he was blowing hot and cold and I wanted to know.
It was just like a switch went down on him and he turned cold towards me.

goldenorbspider · 20/01/2020 08:14

You'll never get an answer from all your whys. Easier said then done, but dust yourself off and don't look back

MopsRUs · 20/01/2020 08:20

He likes having the upper hand and making you feel inadequate. You haven't done anything "wrong". Don't give him another thought!

SandyY2K · 20/01/2020 08:45

Why did you tolerate his poor treatment? You should have dumped him long before now.

SandyY2K · 20/01/2020 08:48

I said to him that fair enough if he doesn't want things to progress further that's ok but how about friends.

Why are you so desperate to have any kind of relationship, even friendship with a man like this?

It's time to look inwards and found out why you allowed him to treat you so badly...yet still want him in some form.

It does seem like you have low self esteem.

Sunsetandmoonlight · 20/01/2020 09:00

He wouldn’t make a very good friend.

PurpleDaisies · 20/01/2020 09:02

Why would you want any contact with this person? Confused

Block and delete.

Mistressofpemberly · 20/01/2020 09:04

He is a grade A wrong ‘un. Gets a kick out of manipulating you into feeling like you are at fault. He will no doubt also be enjoying your questions and wanting to be friends.

Sorry you have been used in this way. He was always going to do this to you. Be glad it has ended now rather than years and children later. Stop wondering what you did wrong. It is NOT you. Flowers
