  1. The first rule about the dating thread is don't talk about it with people you're dating.
  2. Develop a thick skin.
  3. Do not invest emotionally too soon.
  4. It's all BS until it actually happens.
  5. Trust your gut instinct.
  6. People vanishing, lying & being generally weird is not your fault.
  7. Know your worth.
  8. If it's not fun, stop.
  9. Loo update is mandatory.
10. No dating the thread. 11. Treat others as you'd like to be treated 12. Any relationship you have that could get ruined by having a conversation about your feelings, standards and/or expectations wasn't really stable enough to begin with 13. The things you choose to ignore/ tolerate now are the reasons you will break up in the future

Message him! Go out! Grin

InTheTempest · 28/10/2019 19:02

I've asked him what he's up to tonight... 😂

MoreNiceCereal · 28/10/2019 19:04

Excellent

Peanutbuttermouth · 28/10/2019 19:04

I'm not sensible either! I'd message your guy in your shoes and I'm highly likely to see Mr SH again!

InTheTempest · 28/10/2019 19:05

He's playing it cool... 'probably going to the gym...' I don't blame him, he clearly wants me to actually ask as I've been such a pain for meeting up... 😂

InTheTempest · 28/10/2019 19:07

Well when I said about a drink he instantly said yes 😂

MoreNiceCereal · 28/10/2019 19:08

I would say something like "the gym is boring, drinks with me would be much more fun" - but I'm blunt. Grin

MoreNiceCereal · 28/10/2019 19:09

Hahaa awesome!

KhaleesiTargaryen · 28/10/2019 19:12

And now deleted his number. So I can’t contact him no matter how drunk/much I want to.

Phew. About bloody time tbh.

Peanutbuttermouth · 28/10/2019 19:12

Well done khaleesi!

InTheTempest · 28/10/2019 19:13

He seems very keen tbh- he's been very patient.

No sex tonight though- definitely not. Maybe I should actually try see what he's really like first

BatshitCrazyWoman · 28/10/2019 19:44

Ahh lovely stories here. And well done Khaleesi it's the best way.

I'm back from my long weekend - gorgeous place and I'm even more 😍 with Mr BC.

crazycatlady20 · 28/10/2019 20:08

loving all the smitten updates. really does give me hope.

I'm meeting a guy 10 years younger than me tonight. I blame u all haha.

Jane1978xx · 28/10/2019 20:09

@InTheTempest. I found a guy near my age really good looking just looking for fun. Seemed lovely just didn’t want to commit etc. I was all ready to meet up and he sent me loads of specific questions about things I would or wouldn’t do 🤷🏼‍♀️. This wasn’t anything I’d call kinky or different just regular stuff but I don’t know why we had to agree in advance. Seemed too odd so i called it off

saltysally · 28/10/2019 20:14

Well done @KhaleesiTargaryen bet you feel a whole lot better for that

I agree shorter men can get overlooked. My most successful irons have all been around 5'7/8/9. I'm fine with that. Mr Camera is about 5'8. He's been sending me lovely messages today. Not ott. Just right.

saltysally · 28/10/2019 20:15

Great news @bats x

InTheTempest · 28/10/2019 20:17

Jane I'd have done the same- who wants an 'agreement' like that in advance of what you will or won't do? It freaks me out when people are like that. After getting out of an abusive relationship I'm so cautious- any red flags and they are blocked.

InTheTempest · 28/10/2019 20:34

I never get nervous for dates but for some reason I am tonight! 😳

Jane1978xx · 28/10/2019 21:25

@InTheTempest. I could understand if it was something unusual They wanted to find someone else into it but it was normal stuff unless he was attempting some kind of text sex 😂😂 .

FMFL · 28/10/2019 21:34

Guys I think I’m done. Few tentative irons but they all live bloody miles away, like 2hr drives, and I’m just not excited by it any more. I’m going to delete the apps and just...be.

WooMaWang · 28/10/2019 22:17

Have fun tonight @InTheTempest.

Glad the weekend was great @BatshitCrazyWoman

MoreNiceCereal · 28/10/2019 22:30

@FMFL taking breaks and just being is healthy, imo. Flowers

FMFL · 28/10/2019 23:09

Thanks @MoreNiceCereal...I’ll probably be back when the nights draw in haha! I’ve learnt so much from this thread; it’s been the best bit of OLD. You’re all fab WineFlowers

InTheTempest · 28/10/2019 23:11

Home now.

He's a really nice lad. He's good looking, fit bod, nice to talk to.

I'm just not getting the 'I wanna rip your clothes off' feelings I get with Mr Cath Fach. Cath Fach and I have amazing chemistry, we can't be in a room together for longer than 10 minutes without wanting to shag. Maybe not the stuff of long lasting relationships but my god that feeling is addictive

WooMaWang · 29/10/2019 08:40

Sometimes that clothes ripping chemistry takes a few dates to ferment.

Sounds like a nice date though.
