Hi all,

thought i'd be proactive and start a new thread for the wenches of the turning tavern as the old thread's pretty much full...

for anyone new to this, it's a thread for women suddenly finding themselves attracted to another woman, so grab a glass of something intoxicating, pull up a chair by the fireside and we'll try to help one another deal with the elation, confusion and heartache of rediscovering your sexuality.

btw outmy, my advice is to copy your posts - I now do this all the time unless I just logged in, I copy it whenever it gets long, and then it stays in memory for something like 5-10 min (just don't copy anything else) so if I get logged out I then can paste it once logged in again. It's the only way, even though boring!

joblot - yes, I also thought that it's a tad TOO pessimistic, we did have some happy end (ish) stories on here, even though mainly from posters sharing about their past - those who are now happily in r-ships with the women!
outmy - I never said 'staring' I thought you sometimes watched her as it's natural to want to - and i remember you mentioned glancing ain playground, so I thought you had a bit of step back! - but of course you didn't mention bumping into her, so that's how it sounded! Yes, the thing is we will never know why on earth is she being weird - running past you and discouraging yet looking at you when you can notice (but she doesn't know it), I mean to that there may be a simple explanation that if you aer a last person she is loooking and waiting for you to leave like she would with anyone - but she is either weird or nasty, it seems. Could you tell her expression when she was looking - hostile or just neutral? or anything else? I thought she may ask just for her info (about volunteering) - not to encourage you, but yes it's unlikely - that's why i did put shocked face next to that option!
Does anyone know whether Dragonflies/Butterflies can be an emblem of gay women? I know it's random but I had no idea that a rainbow was before (why, btw?) so what are the other symbols? Thinking of a Birthday card for wiq (too early yet but I can start looking) - but no, not with the actual rainbow (I think it's v,silly as a card).

I really am giving up interpreting your wiq as out of all on here she is the weirdest - no idea why shouuld she really dislike you as you suggest as you haven't done anything bad, maybe you were mich more direct than she likes and ruined her little play, no idea... On the negative side if she intensely dislikes you know maybe her looks at you are evil! But even if it's something positive, what is the point thinking it if she active;y avpids you (again the only wiq who is SO active at avoiding).

I don't know any significance - they just look feminine and flirtatious, and when there are just two in a picture it could hint to her - don't yoiu think? obviously together with all the vibes i was giving.

ah so it's a lesbian novel - I must say I'm completely new to the subject and so far not going to read the material even, as if my wiq is not going to respond I think I'll be either single for a long while or eventually try and date a man again.

actually, now i think about it, Dragonflies are a perfect metaphor.

i understand how you feel. just don't end up burying this side of yourself if it doesn't end up happening for you with your wiq - knowing that you can fall for a woman, and have sexual feelings for her is something valuable you have learned about yourself.

if i take nothing else from my personal revelation about my feelings it's that whereas in the past i felt i had to deny my attraction to women, i now feel ready to embrace it, at least in my own head, if not in public, and for me that's progress.

outmy -erm i think the 'well' thing is sort of referring to vaginas. i think. and the loneliness bit is i presume not being wholly satisfied with penises? i'm probably wrong, but that's what i'd always assumed and i'm sticking to it.

NotFor, yes I'm now definitely not closed off to the possibility of a r-ship with a woman - I honestly never thought this could happen in any serious sense, but /i can't say 'never' now, not at all. It's just chances aer tiny of meeting someone that special to me AND her reciprocating/being openminded. I'm just also daunted by men - tbh I'm so tired of r-ships with men (so bloody predictable and hard work, i.e. for me they just DON'T have sensitivity) and i would have to meet an unusual man to get involved - mind you I've matured a lot now and possibly will make better choices if they ever come up - at the moment i have no capacity to be thinking of men.
Are you just after any emails - or hoping for some sort of invite?
