Hello, welcome to thread five!!

I'm Mouse and I'm 10 whole days sober which is bloody amazing given that I would normally consume nearly 90 units per week! And that's without 'special occasions'!!

So, if I can do it, you can do it! The support here is awesome, no matter where you are in your quest to quit. No judging, no cliquey groups.

I'm trying to force myself to finish a really, hideously boring task before I go home, so that I can have a clear start on Monday morning - hence procrasinating on mumsnet

Have a lovely (sober) weekend planned. Will take it easy tomorrow, maybe pop into town with dd and then friends' barbeque in the evening. Promised to take dd to see Toy Story 3 on Sunday and if the weather is nice, I go for a walk round the fields near us which always calms me. There are loads of dragonflies around and a glorious view over 3 countries (gives clue to where I am!).

What's everyone else up to?

Moomin, thanks for answering! I'm LOLing at the description of posh women having a go at each other, wearing Boden while they did it! I'm glad I found mumsnet before it started to be in all the papers - it's the only forum I can deal with these days!

I mean I'm glad because otherwise the media bollox might have put me off, just to clarify.

Strangely it was the media crap that got me interested! I was like, "Who are these mad women?! Surely it can't be that bad!" And lo and behold it was typical media shite!

Visted Holland on a couple of occasions and spent a day in Valkenburg and from a certain point there you can see 3 countries, Germany, Belgium and Holland. You anywhere near there maddogs??

no magnums yet but there are two white ones I can hear begging me to eat them in the freezer

my bedroom is the last room to be thooughly gutted

all other rooms(except craig and gf room) have been gutted and deep cleaned

the tasks I hae to do now are about keeping them uncluttered, tidy and clean

after my bedroom, the garage is next

mouse - I always finish at 5pm. But start my farewells at about 4pm! (Just to remind everyone that I am off. How needy is that?!)

Phew I didn't have to copy/paste the tables after all - I decided it was stupid, checked with someone senior and she said let's think about it on Monday morning! So I said, oh ok then!!

So I am home before Dh and DD for once, and drinking sparkling apple juice.

Desire Not Holland, but Germany is one of the countries I can see...

V. jealous of online shopping Mouse - such a modern concept hasn't reached here yet (we don't even have Sunday shopping)! I hate going to the supermarket. One bonus of working full time is that my DH does all the shopping. Two hours sounds like a nightmare though.

Trinity - Mmmmm White magnums!!

maddogs - a combination of a utterly shite website, doing it when it's busy, lack of sleep and having to keep stopping to see to DS = 2 hours!!!

There is no way I could go shopping for everything though so I shouldn't complain!

I have found Del Monte Smoothie ice-creams my new weakness!!!
