Hello, welcome to thread five!! Smile

I'm Mouse and I'm 10 whole days sober which is bloody amazing given that I would normally consume nearly 90 units per week! And that's without 'special occasions'!! Shock

So, if I can do it, you can do it! The support here is awesome, no matter where you are in your quest to quit. No judging, no cliquey groups.

We are just real, honest people. All helping each other to give up the booze. Come meet the other Brave Babes........................

And for those who would like to read the adventures so far, here are the links from the first four threads!

JWN - have a fab weekend!!!

My 'voice' is telling me that it's friday, and that I can just have a drink while I'm cooking dinner.

I am ignoring it and about to sip on a long, cold glass of........milkshake Wink

RedMoomin · 20/08/2010 16:40

Good work lowenergy!

Mouse - you are always really upbeat and positive on here. You are so allowed to feel shit and tell us all about it! Totally understandable. (And that seems a very, very low amount of cash for what you are doing imo.)

Ok babes, I hope that everyone has fabulous weekends. (Or just sober ones Wink) I will really try to get on over the weekend. Otherwise see you all on Monday. Thanks for all the support, comments and laughs over another week.

Take care everyone x x

gingeroots · 20/08/2010 18:40

Good evening lovely babes .
Welcome MsGee ,Mouse - lovely to have you back ( but even if you get a carers allowance you need some respite ,is carers same as attendance allowance ? )
JWN where do you get your energy from...?
I'm tucking into my Supermalt - shed loads of sugar as MIFLAW said .
Thanks so much to all for being here ,sorry I'm so erratic ,my access to lap top is a little sporadic .
Will be away for a few days ,so may not be able to post .
Will tune in mentally .

MsGee · 20/08/2010 20:05

Glad to see that there is an appreciation of chocolate on the board :)

Thought I would tune back in, I am doing some work (pity there isn't a smug smiley face) so for once I might end the day having acheived what I need to.

And I am NOT having a drink. Feel like I have got past a tough bit of not starting at the normal time.

Plan is to have some strawberry milkshake and an early night. Hope you are all having good evenings.

MissPerrier · 20/08/2010 20:23

Hi MsGee I"m a chocoholic too! To add to all my other oholics...!
Goodnight computer fairies hope you all have a peaceful night. X

gingeroots · 20/08/2010 20:24

Good one MsGee - strawberry milkshake ,yum .

Mouseface · 20/08/2010 20:26

MsGee

Good plan re the early night and one I to will be following. Well done on not drinking at your normal time. Smile

ginger - lovely to 'see' you too! Respite was no'd by DH from the start. Long, sad, story. For another day maybe.......

It's just very hard some days but I don't begrudge him a second of my time. And I don't know re carers and attendance allowance.

Mouseface · 20/08/2010 20:26

Night MissP

Sleep well. xx

OP posts:
MsGee · 20/08/2010 21:05

Thanks - and thanks to everyone for the welcome and advice.

Temptation avoided by revisiting that list of things I won't miss and adding a few more.

Feeling pleased. I have worked. I have not drank and now I'm off for an early night with my utterly crap novel. I am not going to worry about tmrw night but for now, I have nearly got through day one.
