I'm Mouse and I'm 10 whole days sober which is bloody amazing given that I would normally consume nearly 90 units per week! And that's without 'special occasions'!!

So, if I can do it, you can do it! The support here is awesome, no matter where you are in your quest to quit. No judging, no cliquey groups.

Hello everyone, hope you are all good.

It is day 10 for me today which is a revelation. When I used to see others post days in double figures it seemed so out of reach and yet here I am. My liver thanks you!

Have just had a big wedge of chocolate refrigerator cake (made earlier with the children) and have a J20 chilling. How was your cooking afternoon??

didnt quite work out as i planned, pav, bit peed off about it really, am feeling all bunged up and tired, havent felt like doing much this afternoon, in fact, i feel so rotten im off to bed in a mo!

had three blue wkds, a vodka and coke and a glass of wine in 4 hours

came home and didn't drink the becks or vodka that is in the cupboard
I have had something to eat and I'm now going to bed

I actually feel good that I could have a few drinks and then stop

lovely sunny morning here! dd is in the shower, apparently you have to dress up to the nines to collect a level results - i think it is more to do with who you may see at the pub afterwards! , why do kids think we are daft? ginger, am crossing my fingers for us, such a lot rides on these results, i feel quite sorry for them!

Today I am having to work a bit harder at feeling positive, but as they say this mood will pass. August is always a tricky month for me.

my friends do know I'm stopping drinking

one of my friends is stopping with me

he was the driver last night

he had one drink

we took rach with us as she never gets out of the house

I have no hangover and dont see it as a failure

I came back to a house with enough alcohol in it to get me completely bollocksed and I didn't touch nother drop because I felt relaxed and was having lots of fun so didn't need to keep drinking

it was a fun afternoon and now no alcohol till tuesday

I am so pleased you are feeling positive trinity and that you are not feeling rough this morning! x

Not at all! This is not an AA or an abstinence thread as far as I am concerned. It's a thread for people struggling with booze for whatever reason and to whatever extent. As we all say, Everyone Welcome!!

Thanks for good wishes re the dreaded results - I've just had to turn radio off ,lots of live results opening ,but of course you're not going to do that unless you're pretty confident .
Goodness knows when DC will phone with results ,or even get to school - just heard that buses all diverted .
Moomin ,I'm powering up the vibes for 2.30 .
