I know Stoke Newington in London is an expensive area but really!

I'm assuming it's currently rented out and the landlord doesn't want to miss out on a penny of his/her rent.

Ah, The Talbot!! Love that pub! Yep, I agree-am a North Londoner born and bred but moved to SE London 10 years ago and love it! But London prices really are stratospheric in general and I don’t think many outside it realise quite how bad it has suddenly got!

Maggiemuff I assure you I wouldn’t live in NI again for all the tea in China. I lived in London for ten years after getting out of dodge and had a much better quality of life than I did in NI. But now I live in Oz which I much prefer, and I only visit NI for family reasons, enough to know I would prefer to live pretty much anywhere else. Twenty years of it was quite enough for me! Different strokes for different folks!

TatianaLarina · 07/04/2018 09:05

Are you referring to bangor in wales because if you are then you might want to look at my posts more closely. They are Bangor, Northern Ireland. Nothing you can buy in 'London' will compare. But I'm sure your enjoying your cramped 1 bed flat

Nope I was referring to Bangor, NI, as per your property links, the third of which, incidentally, was hideous.

I live in a 6 bed house with a 90ft garden, nicer than any of the houses in the links, but thanks for your concern.

maggiemuff · 07/04/2018 10:04

Tatiana

Or course you do...

TatianaLarina · 07/04/2018 10:24

Seriously? Do you actually want a photo? Hmm

KaliforniaDreamz · 07/04/2018 11:10

Lol.
Mine is going up for sale soon....

KaliforniaDreamz · 07/04/2018 11:10

Thought we might move to Bangor.

lostjanni · 07/04/2018 11:13

starsandstuff · 07/04/2018 12:08

That's lovely and all but do you have a dirty loo and a bath full of washing? That's the first thing I look for in property pics so...

Looked at link.
Saw mess.
Then saw the toilet roll and went "Oooooh, look, they buy Nicky too" Grin

falang · 07/04/2018 12:26

Laughing at the price. Even if it was immaculate, beautifully decorated and the garden had done I'd still be laughing at the price.

Flisspaps · 07/04/2018 12:28

Fuck me sideways.

My house is an Edwardian end of terrace. 3 beds + box room, separate dining room and massive fucking garden.

Cost me 10% of that. And it wasn't a squat.

Makingdinner · 07/04/2018 12:30

Haha a house like that near me wpild be about 70 grand! No excuse for leaving shit lying around

Shopkinsdoll · 07/04/2018 12:37

I live in a lovely 3 bedroom detached house with garage. Cost 160, managed to get it for 140 8 years ago. Yes it’s in central Scotland, cheaper house prices and all that. But that’s bloody ridiculous!! My house looks like Buckingham palace compared to that.

maggiemuff · 07/04/2018 13:26

Tatiana

That looks like a lovely house. That would definitely be much more worth the money of the house in the original post. It's crazy the way different areas have such dramatic price differences. The house in the original post would be worth £70k-£80k here.

Onecutefox · 07/04/2018 13:33

That picture of the toiletShock

HisBetterHalf · 07/04/2018 13:36

A million pound for a shithole? WTF

TatianaLarina · 07/04/2018 13:41

Double it would be nearer the mark. Wink

TatianaLarina · 07/04/2018 13:42
