morning eveyone
how is everyone feeling? well still no results from the gps(now even gp thinks it is an excessive wait) so she has booked me in for a scan on Tuesday next week as it is also the morning that a consultant who deals with "high risk" pregnancies is there(so can find out his views then as well).Haven't spotted again(fingers crossed) but have had the most annoying head aches that just feel like my head is going to explode(I'm hoping it's just the heat.
My parents are coming up this weekend(so will tell them)and (dd allowing)they are going to take dd home with them on Sunday night and I will collect her on Tuesday afternoon, this was planned before scan appointment came through so I'm quite pleased it will be just dh and I, but worried for dd as it will be the first time she has 'gone back' with nanny and grandad and the first time she will be without us for 2 nights as previously we have 'left her' and only for one night and then nanny and grandada bring her home.
sorry to ramble everyone.....take care

quackers · 16/07/2003 08:59

Hi all.
Thanks for your messages M2T and Morocco. I'll try and relax then!! I have never had then before but I suppose I'm still a bit tender. Good to hear its normal!!
Good for Tues Chatee!
I'm really gutted my gp is off for 3 weeks so I will have to see another doc. Sounds silly but she was so good during my m/c and convinced me she would look after me the next time. I'll now be booked in I bet under another doc and he's not that nice. Oh well just a minor thing. I hope I get my early scan though as I was promised!!
Hope evryone is well today and enjoying the sun!

spikeycat · 16/07/2003 10:36

well, today I am feeling very sick and very, very tired - not fun with a 7 month old who wants his weetabix! We went back to bed at 8ish and have just got up now so I can't complain really! Unfortunatly I am one of those slutty people who leave last nights washing up until the morning and I know I am going to heave when I go in the kitchen to do it.

Plus, I am starving my cat as I just can't contemplate cat food right now

LEWEI · 16/07/2003 10:37

Good morning everyone and a belated welcome to spikeycat!
Quackers i had quite strong twinges all through my first pregnancy, at first i was terrified because i thought it meant a mc but my doc explained that even in the first few weeks the womb is changing and that the pains were only caused by the uterus stretching( don't know if that is any help).
Now i have what is going to sound like a verrry stupid question, I woke up this morning with no nausea and my boobs were not as tender as they had been, of course dp freaked out and started going on and on, "This isn't a good sign", "is this the same as when you had the mc's"? ect. Which started me worrying, so to shut him up i went and got another test (£6.99 for one test!!!)
When i did it the actual test line came up instantly very very +ve and the other line is very faint, now i know that i haven't got them the wrong way round, i just have never seen this before and i have done lottttttttttts of tests in the past. I know it sounds silly, but has anyone else experienced this. The test was a Discover Today test.

quackers · 16/07/2003 11:01

Hi Lewei, yes my symptoms change evry day and have done in the past. You will naturally pick up on this so much more though after all that you have been through. I worry cos my boobsa arenot as sore but I am vvvvv tired and the nipples are massive etc..
As you know form other thread I had a m/c 3/4 months ago. I did a pg test at 15 weeks and it was positive but I had miscarried 7 weeks before. Silly doc telling me to that. Hormones saty for a few weeks after. Don't worry though, I'm think you're like me and panicking every time something isn't quite what it was yesterday and probably will be diff again tommorow. How are you otherwise? I know you said about the 24th is the next hurdle. Will that be 8 weeks?
I'm not worrying about twinges now as everyone has said they have had them them, so that's cool.

spikeycat · 16/07/2003 13:08

I keep getting really painful cystitis and all the things in my medical cupboard say you can't take them when pg - It seems to go away and come back again - I have been drinking two ltrs of water a day - any tips anyone?

Tillysmummy · 16/07/2003 14:33

Hello all im joining this thread as of lunchtime today !! Two positive tests.

Got sore boobs, headaches and feel knackered but keep getting crampy pains. I see that seems quite common though. Don't remember having them with dd.

moosh · 16/07/2003 14:50

Hi everyone, haven't been on the thread for a week or so. Have due date for 5th March. Feeling really sick but not actually "following through" if you know what I mean. Sometimes wish that if I actually threw up, I would feel alot better. Had the sick feeling with ds till week 13 so I hope it stops sooner than that or doesn't go on for any longer than that. All food tastes really weird because ds is 3.5 I have forgotten alot of those early pregnancy feelings, I too have shooting pains or wind type feelings and growing tummy pains. Sometimes I try not to worry , but occassionally I do hold my breath and pray when I get pains. Still pigging out loads though on starchy foods, yum yum!!!

moosh · 16/07/2003 14:53

Hi spikeycat, sorry I was actually supposed to answer your question in my first comment. Cranberry juice is good for that, it is very good for flushing the system, if you don't like that mix it with water and keep going with the water intake. If not talk to your GP.

quackers · 16/07/2003 15:21

Hi Moosh, good to hear from you. TM Hi again!! How does it feel????? I still can't quite let go of the ttc thread co it feels weird being here! Do you know because our days are so close we'll be asking somethin everyday, are you this, are you that!!! It's going to be great!!! With any luck. Good luck all on this thread. How is everyone. I'm quite new so when is everyone due? I'm due 24th/25th March ish, don't know yet as not been to Docs but I get a diff story from the websites. Anything from the 23rd to the 29th!!!

LEWEI · 16/07/2003 15:50

I am due on the 5th of March but will be having a section sometime between 36-38 wks, because ds was stillborn at 37 wks. So all being well i should actually be delivering in Feb.
I am getting a little nervous as the 24th is getting closer but trying to stay +ve.
JUst had a horrible trip to Asda, the SMELL of everything!!!!!!!!!! I didn't get half of what i went for, but did buy a huge apple pie (shame on me, being a chef should have made my own)and i don't even like apples.
Feeling much better about things now, i think i started of on a bad day, i had a nightmare about being in hospital and someone trying to take ds (who was alive in my dream) away from me. His loss is still overwhelming at times and i feel guilty about wanting another baby so much, as if i am trying to replace him, which i'm not.
Anyway enough of my moans, the weather is fab, just a little hot!!!!!!!!
It is so nice that our numbers are growing, welcome to tillysmummy.
Hope you are all well, i am having a big slice of ham and pineapple pizza with salad for dinner and an even bigger slice of apple pie and cream for afters. Yummmmmmmmm

quackers · 16/07/2003 15:59

OOH can I come to yours for tea Lewei!!!! Infact come and stay at mine and do some good cooking as we don't often get any luxury like home cooked food!!! Bet you'll be a wizz with the blender for your littln when it comes. I'll say something silly too. I can't bear to go to my plant and tell it I'm having another. It will really upset me, hope it doesn't think I'm trying to replace it. Its weird I haven't yet got that first bonding bit with this littln but have such strong feeling sfor the last one. Sorry, I'm blubbing, should really be saying this on the m/c thread but really want to move on from all that now.
Enjoy the pizza Lewei.!!!!!

Tillysmummy · 16/07/2003 16:12

Quackers hi again ! It will be great to be so close together in due dates. What websites have you been on to that tell you due date then ? I calculated mine as roughly 24th March from counting 40 weeks from first day of last period. That's right isn't it ?

Hello everyone else. How weird this all is....

Tillysmummy · 16/07/2003 16:13

Lewei hi and sounds yummy your dinner. I am having lemon fried chicken (not v healthy I know) with roasted veg pasta and broccoli (folic acid, folic acid, folic acid ) and then big tub of Green & Black's organic dark chocolate ice cream!

quackers · 16/07/2003 16:44

Hi TM!!!! I have been back on the website and I'm due 24th too!! I think I have pinpointed it now. I have tried a link but can't. its www.bbc.co.uk/health/parenting and go to pregnancy calendar. There are 3 ways of doing it and it comes up with 24th for me on all. Wow I'm dead chuffed. Same day!

moosh · 16/07/2003 17:47

Hi Lewei we are due on the same day too. Seeing as everyone is talking about dinner, I've just had tomatoe and cheese salad with a lovely dressing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, was going to have a nice big bit of pizza afterwards took one look at it, smelled it and heaved and have decided to let dh and ds eat the whole thing. So I will finish off with a packet of crisps and a mars ice-cream followed by lashings of water to quash that sicky feeling.

Tillysmummy · 16/07/2003 17:47

That would be great Quackers. see my last message on TTC thread. I have taken two positive tests (Clear Blue and First Response) but also got a negative test just now with the Acorn one I got (cheap tests) - is is because I had not enough pregnancy hormnone in wee do you think or could my two positives have been wrong ?

quackers · 16/07/2003 19:46

Hiya, see my message on ttc, good advice given by all. No doubt yourpg. You can get false negs but not false pos's. Don't worry at ALL!!!!!

morocco · 16/07/2003 23:21

how long is this thread going to be by March time??
hello tillysmummy - I guess you already have one dd? How old is she?
I'll let you all know my due date as soon as I find out - scan next friday (the third so far - I can't believe it)
I've eaten like a horse today - the weight I'll put on if I keep on like this. and I've got massive cravings for couscous - last friday i ate enought to feed a family of 5 and I'm dying to have another great big plate - it's weird cos I went right off it last time. No real sickness yet but it started late last time too but what a sense of smell - I'm with you all the way spikeycat on not giving the cat anything to eat for the next 8 months at least - bleurgh.
thinking of you all and esp lewei these next few weeks

Tillysmummy · 17/07/2003 08:29

HI Morocco. Dd is 22 and a half months, 2 on September 11th.

I feel slightly nauseous today and horrible metalic taste in mouth. Anyone else feel like this? How is everyone else today ?

quackers · 17/07/2003 09:27

Hi, can anyone advise? I did a first response last Sat, good positive line, then did a clear blue Monday, looked good again, like the middle picture saying you have tested probably the day your due - which was right, then today did my last test as I had one left and the line was ever so slightly fainter but so was the line going accross. Can;t help but panic. No sickness but have gone off tea and strong smell senses like you Morocco, vvvvtired, like I've never known, so am I overreacting, boobs are huge but no as sore as they were, sorry rambling moment!!!
Hope you all ok today. Urrgg cat food!!!!

Jemma7 · 17/07/2003 09:57

Just looking through the threads and have ound this one - hoping to be here soon for good!

Quackers - stop panicking - if you are truly worried then contact doctor/m/wife and see if they can arrange an early scan.
3 Positive test cannot be wrong - the 3 may be feinter because of simle things like didn't do it for long enough etc.

quackers · 17/07/2003 12:58

Thanks Jemma, it would be great if come and join us on here. That would be 3 of us this month from the ttc thread!!! I have high hope sfor you. You were due a couple of days ago now, am I right?? :0

LEWEI · 17/07/2003 13:14

Quackers, my first response tests were very +ve but my ARC tests(cheaper) were fainter. I think it is something to do with the amount of hormone needed to turn the test. I know its easy to say don't worry but i have been there myself and i understand how easy it is to knock your peace of mind. The last test i did was verrrrrrry +ve but again it was a more expensive one. It sounds to me that you are fine, lots of symptoms!!!
Well i ate ALL the pizza along with EIGHT pickled onions, my doggie ate the apple pie and cream (it wasn't sweet enough). When i say all the pizza, i don't mean i ate all of a slice, i mean i ate the whole thing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was in bed at 9pm feeling crap and didn't sleep until 4am. Sore tummy, totaly self inflicted, pizza is now banned from the house (i enjoyed it at the time ).
Dp says it was the onions, but i refuse to believe that my favourite thing would make me feel so yucky.
I also am off tea, coffee, fizzy juice and the two biggest enemies of my tummy bananas and sprouts. The very mention of them makes me want to heave.
Todays new addition is toothpaste, i had quite a struggle trying to brush my teeth and not be sick!!!
Hope you are all healthy and happy today.

Jemma7 · 17/07/2003 13:23

Yeah - i was due on on Tuesday - no sugns of A/F arriving ye though which is good news.
I've been feeling like im pg for a while now but if it is confirmed i am i will be so shocked!
Keep getting a whiff of eggs - think i'm going to throw up.
