Hi, my little girl has arrived! 1st march at 2.10am after a 2 1/2 hour labour- big shock!! We're both fine post again soon!

morocco · 05/03/2004 15:11

congrats happy1 - how's it all going now?
my little one has put in an appearance too - details on other thread but everything went well and I'm so pleased and happy to have ds2 back at home already.
he's bf like mad and has huge suction already so my nipples feel like they're about to fall off - watch out for me on 'aaargh bf' threads!

how are you all holding up? hope you're ok with the pre eclampsia tillysmummy
love to all and chat soon

spikeycat · 10/03/2004 11:36

am I the only one still waiting?

Quackers · 10/03/2004 16:40

Ah Spikeycat, hope it's your turn soon!!xx

Tillysmummy, know you don't log on much, but thinking of you, it can't be that long to go now!!! I'm 20 weeks now, so half way there!! Good luck for your imminent birth!!!!!

spikeycat · 11/03/2004 10:09

I even tried sex this morning - and a hot bath and curry last night - how desperate am I!!

morocco · 19/03/2004 18:24

hello everyone
how's it going?
any news spikeycat?
we're busy busy busy these days - ds1 is taking it all very well on the whole but I feel overwhelmed by guilt that I'm not available to play with him like before cos I've got ds2 permanently attached to the breast or so it seems
he's getting a bit better and certainly fatter but is quite often hard work during the day and won't sleep at all and then gets very upset about it all
luckily during the night he sleeps very well so I shouldn't really complain
episiotomy has healed well but I'm on antibiotics for an infection 'higher up' apparently due to all the rummagina round after the birth to check on the scar and where I was bleeding from - I feel fine in myself though so it's no real hassle
love to all and keep in touch about those babies

chatee · 20/03/2004 10:57

morocco,
know how you feel about busy busy busy, my ds seems to be constantly attatched and yes i have a dd aged 3.5 who seems to be left to play on her own at the mo....she is not the green eyed monster to ds she smothers him with love BUT is absolutely horrible to me....over everything and anything...ho hum i'm sure it will pass soon but nothing can dampen my hormonal spirits....i'm still on a high all the time
lots of love to all us march/february early arrivals and mums...

No news at all - Just had the midwife here delivery a horrid mothers day present - a sweep! She couldn't do it though as the cervix is too high and hard and posteria. (soory about spellings!)
She tried four times and it felt like I was being fisted (not that I have been before!).
I can't stand the thought of another posteria labour, my first was 36 hours plus and so painful, plus ds ended up in scbu because of the stress.

I feel tired, unhappy and pissed off - am I really the last march mummy not to have had the baby left!? They have booked an induction for next friday - can't wait, sounds foul.

(bet you wished you had not asked!

morocco · 21/03/2004 13:50

oh bless spikeycat - poor you - what a mothers day present
don't worry about the induction though - I had one for my first baby and it wasn't that bad at all - certainly the contractions were no more painful than the second time round. I ended up c sectioned but because my body just wasn't ready to give birth at 37 weeks. You should be nice and 'ripe' by the time they do yours (makes you sound like a pear - sorry)!! in fact looking back one thing that was good was that I knew the date the baby would arrive on - can't stand all the uncertainty.
ds2 is settling down now - I just carry him round all day ina sling so I can play footie/do playdoh etc with ds1 - he's a bit like your dd chattee, loves the baby and kisses him lots but is taking it out on me a bit and often ignores me in favour of the nanny, who is absolutely not allowed to pick up ds2 at all. I've been relegted. also he now calls the nanny 'mummy' - gutting
love to all

moosh · 22/03/2004 14:28

Glad to see that all Feb/March mothers are settling in well. I had an induction date spikeycat with ds1 but he came 3 days before so you may have yours before you are induced. The waiting is hell isn't it!
Well I am fine baby Ajay is doing well, occasionally colicky at night time sometimes good, sometimes bad but had it with ds1 so know it isn't going to last. I am a zombie at the moment, but am enjoying my two boys around me. Didn't realise how manic the mornings have become, they were manic in the first place getting ds1 ready for pre-school but with two now it is all systems go for 2 hours solid. Ds1 is always kissing his baby brother, but is fine with me ( he is a little older than your children morocco and chatee)he is 4. He can get annoyed with dh if he is feeding Ajay and wants to play table footie with his dad. But he is taking to the new addition well. Hope to read from other March mothers soon and hoping to read about you very soon spikeycat.
