hi elvis. congratulations! will it be your 1st, 2nd... ? how are you feeling?

tigermoth · 28/06/2003 11:20

bk - fab, fab news!

And congrats to Elvis too and anyone else who just had a positive test.

Ghosty · 28/06/2003 11:36

Congratulations BK and Elvis!!

BK ... I had really strong symptoms from 4 weeks when I was pg with DS ... Major hunger ... major binges ... lots of crampy feeling and quite a bit of diaorrhea (god, can NEVER spell that!) but when morning sickness started it was bad but not unbearable.
This time round apart from sore boobs symptoms only really kicked in at 6 weeks ... this time none of the hunger or cramps but really bad morning sickness ... much worse than the first time round ....
What I am saying is that each pg is different so I wouldn't worry about it ...
Which is funny for me to say as everyone knows I have been panicking like mad! In fact if there was an National Panicking Team I would be captain

LEWEI · 30/06/2003 11:09

I am also a member of the march club, two very +ve tests, i am just over four weeks. Bossykate, i have been feeling very nauseous for almost a week, i find drinking soda water settles my tummy.
Like Elvis i am trying not to get too excited after having two miscarriages this year, but sometimes you just can't help it. We have decided not to tell family and friends until we reach 12wks. Good luck to all those expecting whenever it may be.

Metrobaby · 30/06/2003 11:35

Congratulations BK and Lewei and Elvis too

bossykate · 30/06/2003 12:12

lewei that is absolutely fantastic news!

moosh · 30/06/2003 13:16

Hi March club I am a newly joined member. Did two tests and both deffo positive. Early days though so fingers crossed it will be my second. Ds is 3.5 yrs. Having on and off cramping pains had it with ds but for only about a day, I think. This seems to be going on for a few days but if I wasn't pg this would be my menstrual week, could I still get period pains? Are these normal not seeing my doctor to confirm untill Thursday, people have told me that these pains are normal. Are they? Can anyone advise

bossykate · 30/06/2003 13:34

hi moosh, welcome and congratulations! yes i have heard/read that these pains are normal, but see how you go.

Lindy · 30/06/2003 15:16

Bossykate - just read your news (couldn't get into Mumsnet for a few days !); many congratulations!!

chatee · 30/06/2003 18:13

Me too to join the Mad March Club, I'm the same as Lewei and Moosh being just over 4 weeks
I am going to the GP on Thursday for confirmation but have done 2 home tests that were both positive.I have 1 daughter who is 3 in August.
Have a feeling I may be the first of the March club to have their babe as dd arrived 7 weeks premature and I have a high chance of another premature babe
Lots of love to everyone and looking forward to chatting about our "secrets"

chanelno5 · 30/06/2003 21:08

WOW! Many congrats to you all.

Elvis · 01/07/2003 22:29

Wow! Our little club is gaining new members fast!
If all goes well, this will be number 3. I have a ds nearly 5 and another ds 2 and 1/2.
Feeling very tired, hungry and hormonal - burst into tears at work yesterday. How embarrassing when you can't explain why!!
All pregnancy symptoms are welcomed, bad or good, as it reassures me this is a healthy, 'stronger' pregnancy than my last that ended in a mc.
Bring on the morning sickness (easy to say now)

chatee · 01/07/2003 22:37

Smelt the fish counter at asda today...yeah the shopping had to be abandoned rather quick....poor dd didn't know what was going on and said to me in the car"are you sad muumy"
bless her

bossykate · 01/07/2003 23:02

i have been sooo hungry today! ate 4 bags of crisps and two lunches - this has got to be nipped in the bud!

leander · 01/07/2003 23:09

I am not sure if this is the right place to post but just wanted to say that I am made-up for you Chatee brilliant news, hope to see you soon xx.

leander · 01/07/2003 23:10

sorry forgot to add many congratulations to all you mums to be.xx

LEWEI · 02/07/2003 11:20

I also had to abandon shopping on Monday, for me it was the bakery counter, so poor dp had to make do with a baked potato!! I don't mind one little bit, as Elvis said bring on the morning sickness!!
We had quite a laugh last night the new "sexy" undies that i ordered a couple of weeks ago arrived, the bras were more like nipple covers on my new inflated pregnant boobs, dp looks at then
like a kiddie looks at present at christmas, but because of our losses this year we have been given a nookie ban until twelve weeks, plus he doesn't seem to understand that hugely inflated also means rather tender and the squeezing of them could cause injury to himself ( seem to be rather hormonal at the moment, tears and a couple of tantrums) Hope everyone else is happy and healthy today.

moosh · 02/07/2003 15:01

Had my first exam at college today. Felt a little queasy but I think that it was nerves. Have been troffing loads too. Trying not to, with ds I piled on the pounds so this time I am trying to troff on healthy things. Can recommend juicing fruit like strawbwrries, bannanas and water melon to get added vitamins. I did try to juice lettece, cantaloupe melon, parsnip and carrot because it contains high folic acid and is an excellent juice for pregnant women. But aaaaaagggggggg!!!!!! Really nasty, don't try it anyone! Going to the doctors tommorow to confirm, and only have two more exams to go and my studies will be finished hoorahh! Will definately have a few glasses of red wine to celebrate. (Only 2 mind). This is a good thread to be on as nobody knows execept a few family members,(early stages) so it is nice to discuss things with you guys.

Elvis · 03/07/2003 09:42

I agree it's great to be able to discuss all these details, I've only told dh so far. I'm hoping to be able to organise an early scan. I was told after the mc that it could be arranged as a reassurance, so see what my GP says when I call him later. Have you been offered this Lewei?

bluestar · 03/07/2003 09:48

Another one to join the list, due around 9th March. Told DH via DS with a sticker that said I'm going to be a big brother! Poor DH got a bit confused with the TV BB but got there in the end! Feeling queasy and have to eat to make it pass, need to find some more healthier options to munch on!

bossykate · 03/07/2003 10:01

luckily i'm not sick yet, but very hormonal and teary and starving! got to run out now to get a bagel!

LEWEI · 03/07/2003 11:23

I have been offered early scans in my last two pregnancies but not yet with this one, in a way i am a little wary if the internal scan because although i was bleeding before the miscarriages i didn't have heavy blood loss or pain until after the internal scan, i know in my heart that it had nothing to do with it but part of me doesn't want to take that chance. So i am going to wait to see if i get passed eight weeks and then ask for a normal scan. Saying all this i had a bit of a bleed this morning, not enough to mark a towel but any sign of blood has put me on a bit of a downer, i can't help thinking "here we go again".
Dp is trying to be Mr +ve, saying that i had little bleeds when i fell pregnant with ds, but i am trying to tell him it is different, that was before the miscarriages, now bleeding is frightening in a different way. Trying to reassure myself that all is ok by doing another test, which was very very +ve but i know that, that is not going to tell me if baby is ok. Sorry for being such a party pooper today. Hope everyone is healthy and happy today

WideWebWitch · 03/07/2003 11:54

Just came for a nose at this thread - congratulations all of you and Lewei, you did make me laugh with your comments about your boobs and your dp eyeing them as if they were presents 0- IKWYM! Sorry you're feeling down today though, hope tomorrow is better. Bk, welcome to the tearful club, I cry at least once a day still, can't wait til that's over!

Elvis · 04/07/2003 08:24

Thinking of you Lewei. If you don't feel like being positive, I'd find thatirritating, or maybe that's just me. I'm sure your dp is trying to do the right thing. Good luck.

bossykate · 04/07/2003 09:08

fingers crossed for you, lewei, you deserve some good luck.
