I have done two tests the past couple of days both very faint +ves. Just wanted to be the first person here! Have changed my usual name as it's such early days yet...

OH WOW!! Cant wait to find out who you really are! Congratulations!

princesspeahead · 23/06/2003 10:22

faint is fine! could hardly see either of my lines resulting in my ds and dd... well done, and looking forward to finding out your true identity soon

LucieB · 23/06/2003 10:26

Great news! I had faint lines and after about the 5th test, the lines/spots (depending on which type of test I did) got clearer! Hope you are feeling ok - come and join Feb 2004 thread - perhaps we should set up a new Feb/March thread so there will be more people on it to chat to?

Marina · 23/06/2003 22:36

Well good luck Fingerscrossed, go public as soon as you feel you can, and get down to Boots if you aren't already using the best early warning system on the market. Hope it all works out for you!

WideWebWitch · 24/06/2003 09:46

A +ve is a positive, faint or not I'd say. Congratulations!

fingerscrossed · 24/06/2003 10:30

Thanks for these kind messages. I still can't quite believe it! Did a Boots test this am - another faint positive (first two tests were First Response). According to the babycentre due date calculator I'm due 3rd march 2004 and will be four weeks pg tomorrow - blimey, it is very early days. Had completely given up on the whole ttc thing this month. Then on Sunday got a very strong "instinct" that I should test...

My Mum's birthday is March 3rd and she's fab!. Congratulations whoever you are.

M2T · 25/06/2003 09:19

Fingerscrossed - will you reveal who you are now that you are preggers?

bossykate · 25/06/2003 18:49

since i have "symptoms" today with a vengeance and need to ask some advice, i will come clean and reveal myself as "fingerscrossed".

distinctly nauseated today, but ok, as it passes with eating.

unfortunately i have a bloating/constipation/sudden urge to purge combo which has made today really miserable. the bloating has been painful enough for me to leave work early and take to my bed! i didn't have this at all with my last pregnancy.

i'd be grateful for any ideas on how to relieve it.

also, i'm only four weeks today. that seems really early to be getting these symptoms - had to wait until six/seven weeks last time. could i have got my dates wrong somehow? i don't think so, in fact i'd be astonished if they were out by any significant margin...

thanks in advance for any comments/advice.

lucy123 · 25/06/2003 20:06

congratulations bossykate.

As to your symptoms - prunes?

I have different symptoms this time also, but happily I have fewer symptoms this time. Probably means we'll have the opposite to what we had last time!

Marina · 25/06/2003 20:17

Arf, arf, bk, could be twins!
Sorry, that wasn't very kind or helpful. You have all my sympathy as I suffer from these kinds of symptoms all the way through my pregnancies and I know how rotten they make you feel. I find drinking semi-skimmed milk and eating fairly plain bio yogurt helps my symptoms - normally I adore dried fruit like prunes but I actually had to stay off them in pregnancy as they did not seem to work their usual magic.
But in lots of other respects every pregnancy is different, so I would not focus too much on the differences from last time.
Far more importantly, even though you are not feeling too great, very many congratulations! This is wonderful news, hope all goes smoothly for you this time round.

CAM · 25/06/2003 20:45

Totally thrilled for you bk!

WideWebWitch · 25/06/2003 21:43

Oh bossykate, many congratulations, I'm very pleased for you! There was this thread recently about things to get you going

pupuce · 25/06/2003 21:50

Oh I am soooo excited for you Bossykate..... well done

ScummyMummy · 26/06/2003 07:46

Yiiipppppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Congrats that woman. Another babybossy is great news and, as Marina says, perhaps even two babybossies! (You could call them Frederick and Isabella after the twins in the Contented Little Baby book.... heh heh heh! Quite cool names actually!) Hope you feel less bloated etc soon. And I'm really delighted for you medeario.

BK great news - I have also felt very bloated and had diahorrea (sorry!) at about 4-5 weeks. Still quite windy too - particularly after supper and first thing in the morning - not nice!

M2T · 26/06/2003 10:57

Congratulations BK!

sis · 26/06/2003 11:07

Great news BK - congratulations!

florenceuk · 26/06/2003 14:07

Congrats BK - hope that it is just a passing tummy bug and not the beginning of morning sickness....

bossykate · 26/06/2003 20:00

thanks for all these kind messages. looks like it was gastro-enteritis and not pregnancy related after all. phew - i think!

thanks again

Elvis · 26/06/2003 21:26

I read this thread this afternoon, maybe it was that that inspired me to do the test, but it looks like I'm joining the March club too.

I don't want to get too excited after a mc earlier this year, but wow! good news at last!
It is of course very early days, but very exciting all the same.

jodee · 26/06/2003 22:48

Woooo!! Hooray for BK - congratulations!
