That is nasty Oakmaiden... I agree !
Thinking of you......

pupuce · 05/10/2003 10:20

Well the cat is out of the bag.... pie had her baby.... and she had a very very good labour/birth which is the least she could have after such a difficult pregnancy.
And she had a natural birth as well..... (even more natural than she had originally planned.... hahhahaah that will teach her to take me along )

Oakmaiden · 05/10/2003 10:59

And you knew all along!!! Very discrete of you

Me next please....

motherinferior · 05/10/2003 11:16

Oakie, I do hope so!

pupuce · 05/10/2003 11:20

Yes I did and I was the one posting on UKmidwifery too.... you spoted me... I went "Oh no - I've been spotted!!!"

I hope it happens for you too soon !

Oakmaiden · 05/10/2003 11:50

To be honest the ~UKmidwifery (which I hadn't a clue was you) was obviously re Pie cos so many of the details were the same. But then if not for the fact that my dates are so close to Pie's then I probably wouldn't have taken so much notice - and it was, after all, all information that Pie had already shared here!

bells2 · 05/10/2003 19:34

I am here and now 40 weeks + 10 annoyingly. Am resigned to a hospital birth now but I guess there's still a sliver of hope that something may happen over the next 48 hours.

pupuce · 05/10/2003 19:36

No twinges at all ?????
You could try caullophyllum 200 if you are homeoptahy inclined....

bossykate · 05/10/2003 20:19

good luck, bells, hope it happens before tuesday.

bundle · 05/10/2003 21:08

bells, lotsa positive thoughts coming your way, and just yell if you need any moral/practical support (only have dd2 mon-weds, dd1 is at nursery) and I hope things are happening for you as I watch Waking the Dead with a glass of red wine..

bells2 · 06/10/2003 09:06

Thanks a lot Bundle - very kind. No twinges at all although I am fairly sure I am leaking tiny amounts of amniotic fluid. Pupuce, is it safe to try to try a homeopathic remedy at this stage if I never have before?

hoxtonchick · 06/10/2003 09:08

Good luck Bells, sending you positive East London vibes . I work 2/3 days a week, so echo Bundle's offer of help. Hope to see a birth announcement soon.

pupuce · 06/10/2003 09:38

Yes it is fine Bells.... good news if you are leaking though
This baby will (must!) come out.....
Do you have any idea how long you think you've been leaking?

Caullophyllum and arnica both in 200 might get you going.... you can take it each alternatively every hour....
(1 pill / 1 hour)

Oakmaiden · 06/10/2003 10:15

Bells - OK, I suppose it is only fair for you to go first.... But then my turn, OK? Good luck for when it happens!

Oakmaiden · 06/10/2003 12:11

pupuce - where can i get hold of Caullophyllum and arnica in 200? I know the active birth entre sell a whole set, but is there anywhere else that sells them?

pupuce · 06/10/2003 12:50

Not sure to be honest - Helios does next day delivery.....
Maybe NEals' yard has it too ?

pupuce · 06/10/2003 12:58

www.helios.co.uk and I know they have those....

bells2 · 06/10/2003 20:57

I'm not entirely sure Pupuce, I think it may be arond 4 days but then perhaps Ive just turned incontinent.... It seems worse at night but it really is only small amounts. Cheers Hoxton chick - most kind.

wiltshire · 07/10/2003 22:56

Sorry have lost the polot a bit, Angel, I am thrilled u have had your angel. Oaky, yours soon I hope. Everyone else - I have totally lost the plot as far as when everyone is due but wanted to come on here to wish you all the best. Please can u update me. I only have a short while on mumsnet as DH has taken baby off of me, but will kill me if he finds me out of bed as I am supposed to resting my scar.

Oakmaiden · 10/10/2003 12:01

Anyone else still posting on this thread, or am I all alone?

Anyway, I have deciede that I don't think I'll have a baby after all - I have remembered how much it hurts, and don't really want to do it. So I think maybe I won't bother. Seems like the best idea....

ANGELMOTHER · 10/10/2003 12:57

You can't back out now Oaky, think of all the wee sweet clothes you have for baby

pie · 10/10/2003 13:23

Oakmaiden... I that 'I don't want to do this can I change my mind?' thought too, unfortunately the head was crowning.

We can start an October Babies thread too.

Sending you big labour inducing hugs.

motherinferior · 10/10/2003 13:59

No chance, Oakster.

Surrogacy suddenly seems so attractive, doesn't it?

pupuce · 10/10/2003 14:02

Bluebear must have had hers.... hope she had her VBAC

wiltshire · 10/10/2003 16:06

Hello, I am still here oaky, just still looking like frankensteins daughter from the belly button down.. It's been 2 weeks and my scar has still not knitted together, sao I can't go out. I am beginning to find it all a bit of a downer. Actually I am extremely fed up. I would recommend an elective c/s to anyone but not this bit. I asked my gp who had to visit me yesterday if I could have plastic surgery on my overhang to remove it so my scar wouldn't keep ripping apart. he said no. 'but it will heal my dear'. When is what I want to know. Sorry to go on.
