Bekki - yes, it a presoaker for nappies, but is great at removing all sorts of stains from all sorts of things. Most supermarkets stock it (normally with the baby stuff, rather than the washing stuff, though.)

motherinferior · 26/09/2003 20:16

Angelmother, I went to the hairdresser 16 days before dd2 was due, and gave birth IMMEDIATELY after - it's a good tactic!

ANGELMOTHER · 26/09/2003 20:20

OOooohh ! Toni & Guy here I come tomorrow would be perfect, and perfectly coiffed

Bells due date today.... Bells ????

Brookstone · 27/09/2003 13:12

pupuce, i'm 38+4 weeks and it feels really wierd talking about induction when i'm not overdue...but i'm not even going to make it to my due date.
my reprieve is over and i'm definitely in on monday for induction-ahhh!
i'm still trying my best to do my bit-like pie, my place is full of pineapples and i'm off tonight for my curry.
we must be all doing the same things, angelmother cos i'm going to see "calendar girls" on sunday to mark my last night of freedom!
oaky, hope you're feeling better-i felt sooooo premenstural this week. it has to be hormones!

pupuce · 28/09/2003 13:01

Hey - this the NEW way for induction bit Motherinferior and Angelmother went to the hairdresser and had baby on the same day !!!

Brookstone - you may have said this somewhere else but why are you being induced before term ? Is it your first ???

pupuce · 28/09/2003 13:02

bit = both
Must do preview !!!!

janh · 28/09/2003 13:07

Angelmother's last post on this thread was almost exactly 24 hours before birth too. Spooky or what.

Hope the delivery didn't spoil her hair.

motherinferior · 28/09/2003 14:31

It's the best way to go, pupuce!

motherinferior · 28/09/2003 14:31

...perhaps we should suggest it on the 'home birth' thread?

ANGELMOTHER · 28/09/2003 19:35

Story is on birth announcements, just wanted to say thanks to all for their support and good luck to everyone left.
I never made it to the hairdressers unfortunately, but I'm sure the idea was enough.
Have we heard anything from Wiltshire ????

No not yet but baby must be born...

Oakmaiden · 29/09/2003 19:43

Gosh, we are quiet here, aren't we? I have had a weird day. I have been having VERY mild contractions all day - about 30 minutes apart on average. But nothing much else. Which means nothing - it could all just stop and go away for another week or 2 - it could carry on like this for a couple more days and then start properly - or it could be sooner. sigh just wish I knew. Tenterhooks time.

It will probably be nothing - still officially got another 12 and a bit days to go, after all.

wiltshire · 30/09/2003 18:49

Yes am back, Well done angelmother. Oaky, you're next. I can feel it in my swollen stomach & rock like melons. Well motherhood is certainly different to what I expected. Max is very calm and doesn't do loads of crying. All of the help I got from this site was great.

pie · 30/09/2003 19:20

Hi Oakmaiden...it is very quiet in here isn't it. I'm not posting too much about D-day as I'm getting so nervous. Will be seeing the OB on Thursday to book induction, which will be sometime after Thursday, probably Monday.

We can start an October babies thread

Oakmaiden · 30/09/2003 19:21

Glad it all went OK, Wiltshire. Everything here has stopped, so just waiting again now!

You are booked for an induction, aren't you Pie? When is that?

Oakmaiden · 30/09/2003 19:21

Spooky!

pie · 30/09/2003 19:23

I woke up at 4am this morning and had contractions for 90 minutes 11 minutes apart, then nothing.

Its like have a carrott dangled infront of you isn't Oakmaiden. If is going to happen can it just happen!!!!!

motherinferior · 30/09/2003 20:37

oh bugger, misread your post as am not pm, pie, and was hoping you'd gone silent and had it; oh well, many commiserations. xxxxx
