Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

@JennyTig I think there is a fb group but I don't have the link - it will be back on this thread somewhere or I'm sure someone will come along and repost the link. Feels like it's taking ages to get to midwife appointment after my 12 week scan. Hopefully everything will be ok with little bean. Have had some cravings, mainly for banana milkshake, fruit and avocado, tomato and mozzarella. I work part time but usually pick up extra shifts but haven't the last few weeks (although I could do with the extra money!) and instead keep having a day time nap on my days of. Hope all is ok with everyone else.

Thank you, I'll have a look back through if I get the chance (we have building work starting tomorrow that's been planned in for a while so life is more hectic than I'd like right now..)

Unless someone posts before then as per @Solidstart request!

JennyTig · 18/01/2026 14:12

I found the WhatsApp group and have requested to join.

No rush at all, it's just so you know it's someone from this thread!

That's a screenshot of the group to search for. The link never worked for me so I had to search for it. Might take a bit for the image to be approved

Hello everyone - now past 16 weeks over here šŸ‘‹šŸ¼

My current situ may give hope to those some weeks behind still with symptoms.

Haven't vomited since December (yay!) and nausea has really eased to ravenous stomach turns first thing (although sometimes as early as 3:45am - not ideal - or 5am like today). Plain cereal asap does the trick. I’ll take it after how grim some of the early days were for me.

Exhaustion has also eased to normal levels - I ā€œdroppedā€ my afternoon nap over Xmas. I am tired after a long work day or weekend activities but only slightly more than would have been normal for me pre-baby! I have quite an intense job (and 12 hour days are not uncommon) so I tend to have a power-through mentality / I am used to it, which helps.

There is defo a small low bump but I haven’t told work yet. Don’t really know what I am waiting for and not worried about telling them, but would prefer to be seen as my usual self for a bit longer. I imagine circa 20 weeks is where I will get to before the bump makes it tricky.

Vinted has me in a choke hold - it has been great to stock up on a capsule wardrobe for reasonable prices (H&M maternity jeans, some Isabella Oliver tops and some floaty dresses from Rixo / Pink City Prints in the size above what I would usually get).

How are you all doing?

Is anyone needing to look at nurseries yet due to high demand in their area?!

Just turned 14 weeks and ive arranged visits at a couple of local nurseries. I'm not sure if it's needed so early in the town I live in but most of my friends live in the nearest city, Aberdeen, and started looking at the 12 week mark so I've just decided to do the same.

Anyone else got their screening results back low risk but still worrying!? They are in the thousands but my anxiety isn’t going anywhere despite all my markers being completely unconcerningšŸ™„ I thought about a NIPT but it’s such a lot of money when I know it’s probably totally unnecessary. Plus I read that they are often just low or high risk, I don’t think anything would help me except a guarantee or as good as, which of course isn’t possible. I am a worrier by nature šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

Solidstart · 20/01/2026 10:37

@jw97 i only had the NIPT (no other screening test offered), and my results were ā€œlow riskā€, no other details provided to me. So not sure it would give you any better answer than you already have…unless of course you also want to
know the sex?

I think you’re right! It’s just the lack of certainty that my anxiety is hanging onto I think. It’s my 1st and I’m a worrier 🤣 just being a bit silly and spiralling! The results were reassuring so, i know I should just enjoy it now

nekophoenix · 20/01/2026 12:53

I got an NIPT letter stating low chance with a one page annex with ratios on it - are you sure you won’t get more info? I was called first and the letter followed.

LoveHearts69 · 20/01/2026 13:21

Hi everyone! I’m 14 + 4 today and it’s my third baby! Unexpected but now very much wanted despite the fact we’re having to
now look at bigger cars! 🤣

Feel like it’s already flying when I’ve got two toddlers to keep me busy! Anyone else going to have three under 5? 🫣

possibly! I wouldn’t get it on the NHS though, and I’ve read mixed things about private results. If it just said low risk i don’t think it would help my anxiety as much as I’d hope! I’ll see if any local private clinics can tell me how much detail they give

Gotcha. I got it self-funded / private but via the NHS service in my local hospital as I couldn’t do the other screenings due to how late my appointments were (I was out of the country). They sent it to St George’s and my results are on an NHS letterhead. My friend at had a private NIPT from outside NHS entirely and got more detailed results than me but to be honest it’s all double Dutch to me and I couldn’t decipher it.

Edited

I used chatGPT to translate the medical language and terms from my screening results .. it was really good and informative, just wanted to share incase it can help you at all.

Allsigns · 20/01/2026 15:50

@LoveHearts69 congratulations on bump #3! Also joining the bigger car brigade over here šŸ‘‹ DH looking at all the options including huge 9 seater transits so we can be that family who takes the kids and their mates out for the day....which feels years off šŸ˜…Knowing us though baby will probably be crawling before we actually make a decision and do something about it.

jw97 · 20/01/2026 19:47

Thanks very much everyone ā˜ŗļø

My results were sent straight to my obstetrician so I haven’t seen a copy. To be honest I was just happy that she was happy with my results. I’m 43 so to hear ā€œlow riskā€ was all I needed rather than seeing numbers that I’d no doubt google and then worry about!

I have enough worries being an older mum so trying not to go down rabbit holes of worry. Easier said than done!

This sounds so fun though!! My best friend is one of 4 and her dad was always the one taking us all everywhere in their old Volvo estate with the rear facing seats! I remember it had a coat hanger for an aerial but I was so fond of their car as it always seemed a lot of fun being part of their big family šŸ¤£ā¤ļø

July is feeling so close already! I can’t believe we’ll all have 5 month old babies by next Christmas 🤯

Allsigns · 20/01/2026 21:07

@LoveHearts69 aww that's a lovely memory!

Have you told your other children yet? July feels close to me but feel like to the smalls it's a lifetime away.

LoveHearts69 · 20/01/2026 21:20

Yes my 4 year old is so excited, he already wants to help with all the nappies and getting the baby to sleep apparently! He’s got a doll and was trying to breastfeed it earlier in preparation! šŸ¤£šŸ™ˆ My 2 year old is very much the baby of the house still and has no clue he’s about to be demoted to middle child haha. How old are yours?

Allsigns · 20/01/2026 21:28

@LoveHearts69 oh bless!!! Mine are a bit older, they'll be 7&5 when #3 turns up. We weren't planning on telling them till closer to 20 weeks but other people started to notice so felt like they should know. The younger one is on cloud 9. Keeps hugging my bump and has started drawing pictures for the baby and wanting to give it things as presents etc. Can't wait to cuddle it apparently. Definitely no middle child angst šŸ˜‚ though TBF I've said they have several middle child traits for years so I'm not sure we'll see much of a difference. 7 year old is a little more difficult to get an opinion out of but overall giving positive vibes. I wasn't expecting the news to be so well received actually so was a relief. Long may it last!

Anyone had any cravings yet? Right in the beginning I was obsessed with beetroot! At the moment it’s cheese and tomato sandwiches! And gravy, but it’s possible that’s the northerner in me šŸ˜‚ love hearing what cravings people have!

summertime94 · 22/01/2026 09:54

I've had no cravings or aversions so far. In fact a lot of symptoms have passed me by but I'm quite glad about that!
