Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

@EllieWales@PBandJellySandwich that’s comforting to hear, thank you. Fingers crossed.

Sadly I've just had a miscarriage confirmed. Good luck everyone, hopefully I'll be lucky next time <3 xxx

So sorry to hear this. Sending love šŸ¤

strawberryandtomato · 22/12/2025 19:05

Hi everyone. 10 weeks pregnant with twins. Wondering about NIPT testing. I can get it done at my local hospital but have been advised to wait until after the NHS screening tests. Those who opted for it- what did you use and where did you go? Thanks

EllieWales · 22/12/2025 23:38

So sorry @LittleWrenUK hope you’re doing ok as can be x

Greengardener1 · 23/12/2025 07:46

Is anyone else on progesterone pessaries? I'm 10.5 weeks and midwife advised yesterday that once I reach 12 weeks I can start weaning myself off progesterone until 14 weeks. Just wondered if anyone has done this before? Little anxious about it but also anticipating the awful hormonal chaos I think that will bring šŸ˜‚

AmberRose26 · 23/12/2025 07:50

@Greengardener1 i was on progesterone pessaries 2 x 400mg cyclogest . I went down to 1 a day from 11 weeks and then stopped at 12 weeks , I am now 12+4 and no spotting or anything and I feel fine , had 12 weeks dating scan snd all was fine, it is a scary thought coming off them but by 11 weeks ish your body should be making so much more natural progesterone than the pessaries can give , it really is just pointless after around then. 🧔

blossomhoney2 · 23/12/2025 08:22

Yes I am on progesterone pessaries too @Greengardener1, but for IVF reasons. I’m on two a day at the moment, been told to stop altogether at the end of week 12.

ive started telling a few people about the pregnancy but will try and tell as many people face to face if I know I am going to see them. I think I’ll try and not say anything at work until around week 16 if I can help it. I’m still paranoid about miscarriage in second trimester.
im 11+4 and I still feel sick - I was sick yesterday, I really thought the nausea would be over by now, it was gone by now in my first pregnancy 🫣

Juicytoot287 · 23/12/2025 09:11

@strawberryandtomato twins!! So glad to find someone going through this as well haha, I’m 13 weeks now with twins.

do you know what type you have? Are they in your family?

jw97 · 23/12/2025 09:42

We got a private early scan and everything looks ok ā˜ŗļøšŸ¤žšŸ¼ measuring 9 weeks, so a few days behind than I expected but I read that’s normal. im excited to tell our families but anyone else nervous about the 12 week screening tests?? The risk is probably so low but I can’t help it, I’m a worrier by nature!

also been struggling with pregnancy insomnia the last few nights! Awake from 3am for about 2 hours or so, nightmare! Thank god it’s my last day at work today before almost 2 weeks off šŸ˜‚šŸ™

Mine was bad at nine weeks but now at twelve the insomnia has completely stopped! Hoping it doesn’t come back

I’m a little worried about the testing - we are telling parents and siblings at 14 weeks after my (late) 12 week scan as that is when we are next seeing them, but I am still a bit nervous about the results (no particular reason) and don’t think I’ll feel relaxed about telling more family / friends until after that. I won’t be posting at all on social media (am actually in the phase of deactivating everything and reducing my online presence - she says as she posts on mumsnet).

Tinytotdriver · 23/12/2025 10:48

I’m sorry for the losses šŸ’” they’re horrible to experience.

Have a private scan this afternoon (should be 10 weeks). Had one at 8 weeks and all was fine, so hoping it continues! My 13 week NHS scan isn’t until the middle of January which feels ridiculously long to wait after 2 previous MMC.

@jw97 Yep, also have had the horrible insomnia. Feeling so tired all of the time. And definitely worried about the screening test! I don’t really have a good reason to be worried, just want it all to go smoothly.

Nausea/sickness has really ramped up the last few days and I was sick in an Uber the other night 🫣

PolarJadeite · 23/12/2025 11:27

Finally had my scan after my spotting last week, and everything is looking good thankfully! Dated at exactly 10 weeks and no particular cause for the spotting.
Interestingly they have prescribed me progesterone pessaries as I have had a previous miscarriage, I haven't collected the prescription yet because they would want me to take them until 16 weeks which feels like a long time! And it seems on here from other people's experiences they want you to wean off them by 12 weeks anyway?

jw97 · 23/12/2025 11:39

@PolarJadeiteglad everything’s looking good for you after what must have been a worrying time!

Good to know I’m not alone RE the insomnia and that hopefully it tails off in a few weeks! Not so bad if I’m not at work, I’m just terrible at functioning properly on little sleep - not a good start for things to come is it! šŸ˜‚

also glad I’m not the only one worrying about screening tests! Feels silly as I’m the same with no reason to worry at all really, the midwife even said so. I think it’s just the fear of the unknown and the waiting isn’t it! We’re telling immediate family and very close friends over Christmas because it’s a bit too difficult to hide otherwise, but I want to wait until all results are back before I tell colleagues and wider family!

Fingers crossed everyone has a lovely Christmas with no worrying! ā˜ŗļøšŸ„°

NICE guidelines are that if you’ve had bleeding and previous losses you should be on them until 16 weeks, if it’s just for bleeding OR a previous loss then they stop at 12 weeks. I’m on them until 16 weeks too and figured it’s a minor price to pay if it helps!

Bad news at private 10 week scan today, yet another MMC. Can’t believe it. Baby died the day after my last private scan (that was at 8 weeks) from what they can tell. Referred to EPAU on Saturday. My symptoms had all increased so much this week (sickness, breast pain etc). Had only started throwing up recently. It just feels so cruel.

Curiousrobin · 23/12/2025 17:49

I'm so sorry @Tinytotdriver šŸ˜ž I was in the same boat earlier this year - 2 MC (one seen at scan that had stopped developing but had a heartbeat, later lost it, a chemical, and then a MMC). I'm terrified of it happening again. I hope you get your turn very soon, when you are ready to go againšŸ’

Had my 12 week scan today.

My husband stayed home to watch our 1 and 3 year old, and before I left joked "maybe it's twins" when I complained how intense the symptoms have been (big belly, still nauseous etc).

Well guess what. Twins. I cried hysterically. Came home told DH, he cried. No idea how we're going to cope with 4 under 5.

Sorry if this is triggering for anyone. I know I'm fortunate to have a healthy pregnancy, this just wasn't in our plans.

EllieWales · 23/12/2025 19:49

I have pregnancy insomnia too (and a toddler who doesn’t sleep!). Between the two the nights feel so long and I’m exhausted, glad to hear it’s easing for some I hope it goes away soon!

So sorry @Tinytotdriver take care of yourself x

Congrats on twins @Outside9 4 under 5 is not for the faint hearted!

You’re allowed to be shocked and excited all at the same time! It’s a big deal 2 babies at once.

I remember telling my DH the same thing and I was right, although things didn’t work out for us and both babies passed at 10 weeks into my pregnancy it is such a shock to find out you are having 2.

We have a lovely 3 year old boy now and this pregnancy is a singleton.

Twins are such a blessing but you and DH are allowed to think WTF too xx
