^ ahhhh amazing your scan is next Friday too!! Mines at 11:45am when’s yours? And yes I’m defo feeling the bloated vibes. Though apparently you start showing from around now? And yes we’re telling people on Xmas day. Going to get some cute little Cards from Etsy to give to everyone. God makes me cry already. what will you be on your scan?^
^ ahhh I don’t remember either but I recall it being painful! My midwife said between 12-16 weeks for the consultant appointment to discuss, with scan between 16 and 20 weeks to check it. Then cerclarge at 20/24 weeks apparently. I’m just happy they can do something about it if it is weakened. There are 3 of us with scans within 24hrs which is nice ☺️^
just had my scan as part of my NIPT test and babes was measuring ahead. 10+4 by IVF dates ( so very accurate to the minute!) but measuring 11 so that’s good. Baby was on its head and boxing which was nice - so glad I couldn’t feel it. Very mobile and cute nose now appearing. Next stop 12 weeks 😱😱😱

Not sure how to tag @gcs34 but hopefully you will see this when you join this thread, I think we are exactly the same gestation day/due date, I am 11 weeks today going by my last nhs scan but 10 weeks 5 going by last private scan so next week we will have to compare! I just checked and mine is actually Thursday at 2pm - or so I have put on the diary, I do not trust myself currently with my fuzzy baby brain so I will call them tomorrow to check !

I am so pleased your scan went well, hopefully makes you more relieved and it is so strange seeing them move when we can't feel it!

@MaSads oh we are literally the same! I’m 10+4 by IVF dates, but 11 weeks today by scan dates so we shall see next Friday!! Haha yeah probs worth checking. Mine is lasered in my memory!! I’ve never thought I’d be having one so it is imprinted on my eyelids!! You have a child already right? Are you showing a bit yet?

thanks so so much for your congrats. Every small hurdle feels so big when you’re in the realms of it all doesn it? And yeah it really is. I said to her I can’t believe I can’t feel this! Was measuring 4cm. Was 3.2cm 4 days ago - mad how much they grow!!

I am definitely going to call them , I was so sure it was the 20th so now I have confused myself! Haha oh bless you, I bet you must be over the moon. Yes I do, a 6 year old dd who keeps telling me to stop eating mince pies as I look like Mrs Claus now with my bump. She does not hold back, and has taken to daily asking whether I ate a mince pie the night before! Luckily, they have a way of insulting us in a very sweet way so I don't mind one bit, makes me laugh so much. I have bought some baby clothes for the reveal, for her to open on xmas - I cannot wait!!

It definitely does, I wonder how soon you will start to feel them, I think it depends on placenta placement too. They grow so much so fast, it is crazy to think of it all going on while we have no clue

Just wondering when and how everyone found out when their 12 week scans are? I'm 10 weeks today and had my booking appt on the 5th, she said she'd book me in for my 12 week scan when I was there but haven't heard anything since.

@LifeonMarss My hospital trust sends out a letter at around 8 weeks, have you got the midwifes number you could call or text to follow up?

I'm still waiting for mine and I'm 10 weeks too. I only had my booking appt on Tuesday so will call my midwife next week if I haven't heard!

I keep having such vivid dreams I'm having a girl.

Last night I dreamt my badger notes app told me I was having a girl and I was a bit annoyed as I didn't want to find out through an app 😆

@LifeonMarss I had my booking app on the 28th Nov and found out about a week later. My 12 week scan isn't until the 8th of Jan, I should be 13+ weeks.
You should give them a call to find out!

@CadoAvo hahahah brilliant! The Badger knows!!! I had a dream about Carbon Monoxide after my mental one last week 😂Retest today at 4pm, so I'm going to go breathe a load of fresh air before!!

@CadoAvo @LifeonMarss I had my booking appointment last Thurs, and was told I would have my date by Monday, but didn't. So I rang the hospital appointment number (in Badger Notes) and said I still hadn't received it, and they booked it there and then on the phone. Worth a shot?

I'm just too petrified to order them incase I jinx it!! I was told anywhere between 16-24 weeks, more like 16 if your placenta is at the back but could be 24+ if it's at the back. According to yesterdays scan mines back. Hoorah! Do you know where yours is?

@LifesABeachx Ohhhh it's nice you're over here too. I think it's nice to separate the scan / positive ones as I don't want to trigger anyone on the other board, as a couple aren't in the same position, so well done @CadoAvo for setting this up.

I think it's quite nice that your 13 weeks at your scan as everything will be SO clear. Have you had any scans yet remind me? Will you tell people before, or wait until then? You must be 9 ish weeks now right?

Hi all, just rejoining this thread though I’ve been quite quiet on the last one! I’m 8+3 weeks and due to have first private scan tomorrow, I’m really nervous if everything’s going to be ok or not, I’ve been having general symptoms and no bleeding or anything so really crossing fingers! Has anyone else had scans at 8 weeks?

@Brownbottle oh how exciting but totally scary. I have really bad scanxiety about EVERY scan.

I had one at bang on 8+3 too, and baby kept twitching which apparently is the start of their movements. Was very sporadic and more like a spasm but still! It does look a bit more like something in it (well mine did — my 7 week one looked like a seahorse 🐴 😂)

I remember the IVF clinic saying to me just remember when you’re in periods of doubt “there is nothing in my surrounding that is telling me there is anything wrong therefore you have no evidence something is”. I try to say that to myself when I have a meltdown!!

Not sure what to do about my family, was thinking about getting my nieces and nephews to open a gift box with the scan pic inside. But they'll all have to share opening 1 box haha

Hello all, just checking back in here. I was quiet on the last thread too. Have had crippling sickness and my HG is really ramping up so it’s difficult to do much.

We had a scan this week though and all good, which was a HUGE relief. I burst into tears when she said it was all fine.

Hope everyone else is getting on okay, I’ll try and catch up with all the posts!

Great news on the scan, not so great news on the HG! It's awful I really feel for you. Two of my friends had it and ended up in hospital. Make sure you do take yourself in if you're bad though - they really helped both of them out with fluids and getting their bodies back up to strength.

How far are you now? So pleased you had a good scan. When is your 12 week one?

I love them! I'm just too scared to order them 😂Could you do like a lucky dip box, and hide in there two socks, a dummy and something else (depending on how many nieces and nephews you have, so they have to find one each, then they'll all be involved?

@GCS34 I did ring first thing and its 19th at 2pm! Made the lady on the phone laugh and she correctly assumed it was baby brain as I am not sure where I got the 20th from haha! And no, for some reason it is the only appointment not in there. Just saw I have glucose blood test 30th December, like I don't feel sick enough! Have you had one before?
She will be so happy, since starting school she asks non stop for a sibling so i think she will be really excited! Those cards are so bloody cute! I know how you feel with the jinxing it, I was scared to buy anything at all last time and waited until 30 weeks to buy anything! My placenta is at the back too which is a relief as was a bit worried about it forming along my previous c section scar, I hope I feel baby a bit earlier this time but we shall see. Can't wait to just not keep it a secret anymore, I want to sign up to some mum apps to meet some local friends but have held off in case anyone recognises me. Are you going to do NCT or apps or anything?

@MaSads answering to your post in previous thread... haha good shout about the elastic band for the jeans, I tried this morning, seemed to help, but I was too worried that the zip would go down 🙈 I only have a few days left of suffering the tight waistband (I only wear high waisted, obviously..😭) . And yes it's definitely a case of second pregnancy because I was definitely not showing at 11weeks last time!

My 12 week scan is next week, on the 18th! I CANNOT wait! Hopefully all will be well and I'll be able to announce it at Christmas (like my first, so they might not find it original 😂 he's a July baby too)

Talk about hormones.. this morning I almost cried, because I was asking my 4 year old if he enjoyed his Christmas dinner at school yesterday...and he said it was yummy but he forgot to ask for some gravy and he was too scared to ask once seated. He LOVES gravy, it made me sooo sad to think he missed out on it 😭🫣
