@MiniMaisy Yay you're here! Great that the latest scan showed you'd grown despite the bleeding. It is so common to bleed in pregnancy, especially us IVF'ers. I had some at 5-6 weeks, and my sister and 2 friends both had bleeding all the way to 12 weeks (all 3 were IVF and all 3 have lovely babies now).

It's so hard not to worry so I totally get you. It is good you've got another scan with EPU on Monday, and another private Friday. Hopefully that will help going into the christmas period knowing all is okay x

@MiniMaisy Question! When have you been told to come off your meds? Were you a fresh or frozen? I've been told to stop the progesterone injections at 12 weeks, but carry on the pessaries to 16 weeks. And I was meant to stop the estrogen last weekend but I've been to scared to so i've been weaning this week with a view to stop sunday...

Hehe, I was so happy as really wasn't expecting it. The scan took place in a really grim unit of a grim hospital, which doesn't even have a maternity unit so didn't have high hopes. However the woman scanning me told me she used to work in obstetrics so she obv felt like she could take a look. There was a student in the room too and he really perked up when we look at the baby as must've been a nice change from all the usual scans they do!
She was also really apologetic she didn't have a printer but let me take a pic on my phone 🥰

I am slowly stopping estrogen now (taking 2 a days instead of 3, for 3 days and then from tomorrow it’ll be 1 per day for another 3 days and then stop with it entirely), and I am 8+1 today.
after that I was told to gradually decrease prednisolone dosage and I should be taking progesterone as until now (i take 10 pills per day, orally)

they said to keep aspirin too for now.

I had frozen embryo transfer, forgot to mention that. What about you?

What an absolute babe! Ahh she's lush. And great that everything is measuring on track, if not a bit ahead! What should you have been today? I'm currently measuring 3 days ahead as of weds scan, so wonder what I'll be on Friday if everything is still going okay!

What is prednisolone? Were you told to wean or did you just decide to? I was on 6 tablets a day of estrogen, so did 3 days of 4 tablets, then currently doing 3 days of 2 tablets, then stop them all Sunday where I'll be 11+1 by IVF dates, but 11+4 on scan dates.

And I'm on low dose aspirin too. And I also was a FET as well. I got OHSS so I had to have frozen in the end.

Yes, I was given clear instructions how many pills of everything I need to take from now on!

prednisolone I think was for the body to not reject the embryo. I was given this during my last transfer too.

So 10+3 from LMP
10+2 from my EPU scan
And now 10+4 from today's scan.

So a bit of jumping around but nothing too major. Will look forward to getting an official due date at the 12 week scan whenever I get a date for that. And I also have a private pre Christmas scan booked for next Saturday!

@CadoAvo awww lush you have a scan before Xmas! Will you tell everyone at Xmas? All of us will be buying those Etsy cards 😂 the woman will be buzzing!

hopefully you get your scan date through soon. Have you been checking the app? I got all my screening bloods back today and was so paranoid I was going to be rhesus negative for some reason. Alas I’m positive, same as husband, so that’s another irrational worry I had gone 😂 where do we get these from honestly!

Yeah the plan is to tell family at Christmas and the rest of our friends after the official 12 week scan. I've also decided I don't want to announce it on social media until the 20 week scan just due to our previous losses.

Yes I've been checking my app like 5 times a day haha, nothing exciting on it yet. I already know my blood type and am rhesus positive so no concerns there. Currently waiting for the results of my blood work and of course the scan.

Oh fab even better. No dildocam for you on a Friday. Missed that little treat 😬

@CadoAvo thats lovely to tell people over Xmas then friends et al in Jan after the scan. What will you be on Xmas day? 10 weeks? And this is the furthest you’ve got is that right? It’s hard isn’t it. So sorry again.

And I agree on the announcing thing. I’m not 100% I even will. I actually came off insta and Facebook last year after my MMC as I was getting targeted ads for pregnancy and it was hella triggering. And I’ve rarely been on since so I probably won’t even do anything. Not sure yet. It’s hard isn’t it? Also you know you felt when you saw other peoples pregnancy announcements and I’d hate to trigger someone else. 🙈

arghhh so frustrating on the scan. Can you call your midwife?

I had mine this morning, measuring right on dates 8+4, saw tiny stumps of arms and legs and was wiggling around! Totally surreal!

My scan at weds at 10+4 weeks looks so lanky. Mad this is only just over 10 weeks altho was measuring 11. She told me she’d be shocked if this baby didn’t come out with lanky limbs! 🙈

No ill be 12 weeks by Christmas day! As 10+4 today but don't think ill get my 12 week scan until 30th/31st Dec.
And yeah this is the furthest I've gotten, last 2 pregnancies didn't even get to see a heartbeat so now I've seen it twice in this pregnancy is exciting 😊

so exciting you’ve come so much further. I was told making it beyond 8 weeks was a huge developmental milestone. And then again making it past 10 weeks. Here’s to your double rainbow 🌈

I've got a scan on the 19th but it's not my 12 week. I'll be 10 weeks on the 20th so thought I'd have a scan just before Christmas so I can be more excited with family then! I've still not had anything through about my 12 week scan but I'm on holiday in Morocco at the moment (lush) so I'll call them when I'm back in the UK.
