My 12 week scan is Tuesday, can't wait to see baby again. Had a couple of private scans already.

Hi everyone, just checking in to the new thread to say we had our early scan this morning and all looking good ☺️
Little one is measuring right on track at approx 9w+3, and it was amazing to see little hands and feet so early!

@SlimGin congrats!!!! So pleased all is going well and you’re on track! Do you have your nhs scan date yet?

Oh my bad. I dunno who I thought had the same day as me for their 12 weeks. Least we’ll both have a scan!

Yes my 12 week scan is on the 2nd January, so not too long to wait. It's in the evening though so will need to ask someone to come and stay with DD.

Morning ladies finally got my 12week scan date, as I'm 12wks on christmas it's the 31st Jan 🙄, not had any private ones so will first time seeing baby 😬😬

How long has it taken everyone's blood results to come back? My booking apt was the 4th Dec and still nothing on badger notes? Presume I'll have more done at the 12weeks so will ask them if they're still not on there

@Hampshiremummy2 bloods usually take 48 hours to come back and they'll call you if something is wrong, so no news it's good news. That's what I've been told anyway. With my first they took ages to upload them onto badgernotes as I think they have to do it manually, so I'm not expecting to see actual results any time soon. Had them done on the 8th and haven't heard anything back so assuming it's all good. They might appear on badgernotes at some point or they might not!

@Hampshiremummy2 great news you have your date but do you mean 31st December or January for it? 31 Jan seems awfully long if you’re 12 weeks Xmas day? You’re about 4 days behind me. Nice to have people so close!

my bloods took about a week. I asked my midwife at my second appointment (had to go back following week) and she said they’ve come back but only when I asked. So maybe they’re slow too!

Anyone else have like spasms / cramps around 11 weeks? It’s common I know but SO disconcerting.

Please can i join ? I am nervously scarily petrified of writing here, my first post and worried i am jinxing things. I am 9wks 2 days (only found out last Monday long story). This is my 5th child and had 7 miscarriages. I had a private scan last Wednesday and saw a gorgeous jellybean and heartbeat. No contact from midwife yet but invite to badgernotes but no code. Never heard of badgernotes before. My youngest is 13 so it has been a long time for me !! 🙈🙈

Hi everyone, joining on here! Had another early scan today, all looking good and measuring a day ahead at 10+3 😊 saw the heartbeat and some little wiggles which was lovely! I've got to wait until the 3rd Jan for my dating scan which feels ages away 🙈

@Hampshiremummy2 if you think you'll be past 14 weeks for your dating scan id phone the hospital and explain as it makes some of the screening tests difficult, as well as accurate dating. They might be able to squeeze you in earlier if it's needed

I’m so sorry for your 7 losses. That’s heartbreaking. I completely get the jinxing things. I am exactly the same. And feel like I have to caveat everything I say with ‘hopefully’ or ‘if everything carries on’. Pregnancy after loss is a lot. Congratulations on baby number 5. That’s great about the scan too. Do you know when your scan is? Have you rang the midwife? I had to book in

If you have the Badger app, does that mean that you don't have physical notes? I have the app and was wondering how I'd tell them my birth plan when I'm in active labour if it's not on paper notes? Obviously that's a long way off yet!

@purplespink from what I understand, you have notes on paper too, but badger notes is all your record of everything so you have a digital copy of everything.

Hiya GCS34 thanks for your message. I am not planning ahead at all yet just hoping as had spotting yday and bad cramps - was put on bedrest by doc and it has stopped today. I was supposed to hear from the midwife on thursday/Friday but had no contact yet. I will phone tomorrow morning.

Its my OH 1st so we got a private scan and have a lovely 5 min video scan of the baby at 8 weeks 5 days, saw its beating hearts and the baby was moving. Next scan should be 12/13 weeks (3 Jan ish). When is your next scan? I had cramps all the way through all my pregnancies, the stabs in the cervix are the worst bit !! 😫

Is everyone keeping quiet till 12 week scan ? Also is anyone doing the nipt testing ?

I was going to do that but by the time I get my mat b1 I will probably be living over 2 hours away from where I got them from so I don't know what to do

What a lovely pic. So good to see so many positive scans and so many measuring ahead. I am sorry about the spotting. Is this the first time or have you had it before during this pregnancy / others? Hopefully you’ll get your booking apt through soon. Be nice to have it this year but I don’t know how big an area your midwife covers. Mines quite a small area so quite lucky she has availability a lot.

I have had the NIPT test. Had it on Wednesday evening and now eagerly awaiting the results. I’m so nervous — I keep having dreams about high results and carbon monoxide randomly 😂 I should get my results Thursday ish this week. Are you doing it? It was £400 but if everything is okay, I think the piece of mind is invaluable. And we’re telling everyone Xmas day (12 week scan Friday) but our parents already know as we’re IVF so they knew when our transfer date was.

I meant to add, thank you for the reassurance on cramps etc. it helps hugely to know it’s normal. And yes. The cervix pain is kinda where I was getting some yesterday. What is that?!

@Joanna0x you don't need a matb1 for free prescriptions, instead you need to ask a midwife to get you a maternity exemption certificate. Can be done at any time I believe (I've asked for mine at a booking appointment).

Getting a bit anxious again, yesterday I was starving and started to walk to the shop and got an awful cramp. I had to stop walking for a few minutes. It carried on till I got home and it subsided when I sat down and ate, presuming its nothing to worry about but still a bit concerned because I've never had that before.

@LifeonMarss from what I understand, cramping is normal and it's everything moving around and adjusting. I've been getting spasms the last day, and feels weird. But I guess as long as it's not agony, continous, and acompanied with blood, it's things moving and just mention it at your next MW appointment. Not very helpful but I googled the sh*t out of this yesterday and was told it was totally normal ("told" by google that is!)

Has anyone else started to put on weight? I've put on 5lbs 😓 only 12 weeks today.
