BFP after recent loss

I know there are quite a few threads like this, but thought I’d start a new one for those of us going through this just now 🙂

I found out about my MMC at what should have been 7.5 weeks (no growth since 5). Had to have a D&C as my body wouldn’t let go. That was back in mid-April.

I’ve had one period since then and it now looks like I’m pregnant again! Can’t believe we’ve been so luckily to fall again so quickly.

Got a vfl yesterday at 10dpo and the line is a bit darker today at 11dpo. Pic attached has 11dpo at the top and 10dpo bottom. What a shock when I saw that line!

Anyway, I’m already feeling nervous about everything so I thought I’d make a space for people in a similar position to join. Maybe we can help to calm each others’ nerves a bit 💜

i had a scan last Thursday which confirmed baby was all ok at that point. As soon as I have a scan a few days later I start to feel the dread all over again and I just don’t know why. I am wondering whether any one has opted for a private nipt test or whether they waiting for their 12 week dating scan?

That's so understandable with everything you've been through. Hopefully we'll all feel a bit calmer and more reassured at the end of the first trimester. I think I'm going to wait till dating scan checks. What are you thinking? Xx

Given everything you’ve been through I think the dread is inevitable sadly :(
I’m just going to wait for the 12 week scan, as much as it seems a lifetime away! As much as I’d love to I haven’t got the money to fork out for a private NIPT 🥴
If it gives you extra reassurance I’d definitely go for it if funds allow x

So so happy to say everything is looking great! We saw the little bean with a really strong heartbeat. Measuring my 8+1 dates exactly which is very reassuring. Baby is about 16mm. Got a wee scan pic too and I can’t believe how much they’ve grown since my scan 10 days ago! You can see little limb nubs and everything 🥹

For now, the relief is great.

@CosmicLove i am just unsure because I feel like it would be able to help me relax a lot more knowing it didn’t have any chromosome issues. Our last baby died from chromosome triploidy. It’s a hard one don’t want to add extra stress but would be beneficial for my mental state x

I got a picture at my 8+5 scan, but it's making me a bit anxious as it looks nothing like I thought it should. I expected at least a visible outline, but it looks very odd 😕

@KittyFantastica If it helps this was my 8 week scan with DD. Total blob 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Rockyslife I agree with MrsB - if it would be beneficial to you to have that reassurance earlier and funds allow, then go for it. Your own well being is vital xx

Had a dream last night that I went for my scan (coming up on Thursday) and baby had stopped growing at 6+5 😔

Nausea has well ramped up this week 😩 I don’t know if it’s being made worse because I’m not sleeping, but it suckssss. I’m having tiny spoons of Weetabix with a fan full on blasting in my face trying to sort myself out 😂
When I was pregnant with my MMC baby I could wear the travel sickness wristbands because it was in the winter and I could hide them but I can’t do that now. Is there anything that’s helping you guys?

Oh that's awful 😞 I ordered Myrtle and Maud bon bons that someone recommended above. I would reach out to gp, some medication might help to get through the worst. Mine is not too bad though, but it's enough to make me really grumpy and also total exhaustion hit me yesterday. I'm having iced drinks all the time, but the low level nausea yesterday just made me really snappy. Also taking some time off work will help, just to get through. How many weeks are you now? I think it's really starting to peak now for most at this time xx

Thanks for the good wishes. The scan is much later in the day, so probably will update tomorrow. I'm just so tired 😫 thinking of taking the day off.

Thanks lovely. Objectively I don't think mine is that bad either but I’m such a wimp when it comes to nausea/sickness, always have been 😩
Iced drinks sound heavenly 😍 might stock up on some ice for the freezer
I’m 8+5 today, I’ve had the last week off work (annual leave), not looking forward to going back tomorrow! If nothing else, me being nauseous and the major progesterone bloat is gonna make everyone guess. Before I went off my manager kindly told me it looked like I was having twins 😂
