Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

Hi!

I got my first ever BFP today- think due date would be early November. I still feel a bit surreal about it all- going to do a digital in the morning for confirmation. I've felt nauseous on and off all day, crampy, constipated and gassy! How are you feeling?

Elixabeth · 28/02/2024 20:45

Hi, congratulations, I got my BFP yesterday on a digital, will be due early November.

It's still sinking in, I assumed I was out this month as I got some minor spotting when my period was due but turns out I must of ovulated later than I thought and it was implantation bleeding.

I've just got some minor cramps and feel more hungry than usual xxx

shohopeful · 28/02/2024 20:53

@Elixabeth congratulations back at you!! I've been going through waves of being hungry and not facing it at all. My husband just gave my dog some chicken and I could smell it and I hated it (I love chicken!!!). Let the journey begin I guess!! Xxxx

@shohopeful I'm also having the waves of hunger and nausea- as soon as I make myself eat I feel fine and enjoy my food but otherwise I feel nauseous and am not bothered by eating anything at all!

shohopeful · 28/02/2024 21:15

@piechipsgravy sorry I missed your first message! Congratulations!!! I haven't done a digital but I've done three tests in three days and can see that line getting darker. It feels strange doesn't it! I also feel quite off. We are going to get an early scan just because of the last time. That's 4 weeks on Friday. So not ages to wait but bet it feels like a lifetime. Are you planning anything like that or going to wait for 12 week scan? Xxxx

piechipsgravy · 28/02/2024 22:00

@shohopeful that's great that you've seen the lines get darker! I plan to keep going with the strip tests for a while (I have 7 less) plus a digital pregnant/not pregnant one tomorrow then if all is going well I have 2 of the digital with the weeks on I can also use for reassurance later on.
I'd definitely like to do a private scan- 12 weeks seems so far away! Think we'd aim for around 8 weeks so beginning of April?

shohopeful · 28/02/2024 22:04

I have so many strip tests I'm going to just use them til I'm properly confident! Yeah beginning of April/end of March. I'm booked in for Good Friday (sure hope it's good anyway!!!). It's a real mix bag of emotions isn't it. Always nice to have people at a similar stage to chat to as well. Xxx

Congratulations to everyone!
Got my BFP this week too and tentatively joining after a MMC in the summer. Will be booking in a private early scan for reassurance and probably still testing most of the time until then 🤦🏻‍♀️ Did my first digital with weeks this morning and got 1-2 weeks which is where it should be so that is a good start 😊
I have been exhausted the last week or so and very thirsty like all of the time which isn't great as a science teacher who a shouldn't drink in the lab and b cannot go to the toilet whenever I need to 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️
Wishing you all a healthy 9 months x

piechipsgravy · 29/02/2024 06:36

Welcome @MedbN ! I can completely understand wanting the extra reassurance after a MMC- I hope this pregnancy is long straightforward and boring for you! I'm also a teacher but I teach Reception so have been chugging my water bottle all day (but have to hide how much I need the toilet as last month I went to the loo a lot to check for AF and my TAs all asked me if I was pregnant!!)

I've just taken another strip test and a digital which has confirmed definitely pregnant 🥳

muddlingthrou · 29/02/2024 06:47

Hi all, can I join, please? Just had a BFP after a frozen embryo transfer and feeling tentatively thrilled. This is my second ever pregnancy (I have a gorgeous 2 yo DD). Hoping for a smooth, less nauseous pregnancy this time 🤞🏽 congratulations to you all xx

shohopeful · 29/02/2024 06:50

@MedbN @muddlingthrou congratulations!! I think we're all tentatively doing this aren't we! I'm trying my best to stay positive that this can happen. @piechipsgravy I'm also a teacher! Currently on secondment so out of the classroom. I go back in August (though hopefully not for long if this pregnancy sticks!!!).
I have also been exhausted. I was flat out from 10pm last night until one minute before my alarm which is not like me at all! Must be needing it xxxx

I had a bit of a scary night- woke up at about 1am with agonising stomach pains to the point I was crying and felt sick. They were basically like the worst trapped wind pains I've ever had... I sat on the toilet and managed to do a poo and the pain instantly went away. No bleeding and the pain hasn't returned since but obviously feeling a bit nervous. If nothing else, I need to find something to ease this constipation!!

shohopeful · 29/02/2024 06:57

@piechipsgravy oh I'm so sorry!! I also had an upset stomach last night and had the worst diarrhoea. Must just be our hormones readjusting. How much fibre are you eating a day? I always aim for around 30g. Things like lentil soup, oats, apples, raspberries, kiwi fruits, beans are all great for this! Xxx

OP posts:
piechipsgravy · 29/02/2024 07:02

@shohopeful not enough I don't think! Going to make a real effort to up my fiber intake from now on xx

Elixabeth · 29/02/2024 07:57

I've taken another digital this morning, and still got my BFP, think I might start getting addicted to taking tests! Still waiting for it to sink in!

@MedbN I've been so thirsty but work in a Lab so feel your pain, My mouth is constantly dry xx

shohopeful · 29/02/2024 08:14

@Elixabeth I've been taking one every morning as though they are the OPKs!! I know I don't need to but it's reassuring me seeing the line get darker - especially every 2 days. Whatever you need to do to get you to a point of confidence I say xxx

Hello! Also due early Nov (I think!) after getting BFPs on strip tests over the weekend then confirmed digital on Monday.

Still in a bit disbelief as diagnosed endometriosis in September and had 16cm endometrioma removed in December where they also discovered my right tube was blocked. It puts me at a higher risk of ectopic so praying for a miracle the next few weeks xx

Loz365 · 29/02/2024 08:39

Tentatively joining!
Got my BFP on Monday at 11DPO and due early Nov. We've been TTC for 3 years and I'm on letrozole via fertility clinic. Had an early MC in July 22 which ended at 5+3 weeks so just praying I get past that point this time 🤞
I've had on and off brown discharge and cramps and a bit of backache but hoping these are all good signs.
Got an early scan booked for 7 weeks with the fertility clinic so will probably be a nervous wreck until then 😂

Congrats everyone! X

shohopeful · 29/02/2024 08:56

Congratulations and welcome @Loz365 @ThisLimePoet it can be a scary time and everything is crossed the pregnancies go full term. Xxx

Welcome @Loz365 @ThisLimePoet !

I'm currently sat eating a bowl of bran flakes with dried prunes while my nipples feel like they are on fire. How are you all doing today?

Elixabeth · 29/02/2024 17:42

I have terrible back ache today, and getting very tired at work, but my referral went through and I have my appointment dates now so it's all starting to feel very real

shohopeful · 29/02/2024 17:44

I have my appts too! My 12 week scan is 22nd April. I'm quite hungry today so just eating what my body is telling me too. Eg so much cheese?? My boobs are so full and massive already.

OP posts:
Elixabeth · 29/02/2024 18:22

@shohopeful My 12 week scan is 22nd April as well!

I'm waking up starving, so just trying to eat little and often

Noooooogsh · 29/02/2024 18:49

Hi everyone, got my BFP on Sunday and have been in disbelief so tested again today and still BFP! Going to get digital at the weekend. I have irregular cycles but think i’m between 5w4d and 4w1d

I’ve been having cramps all week like I'm getting my period - is anyone else having cramps? It makes me so nervous but have read it can be normal for some 🤞

shohopeful · 29/02/2024 18:50

Hi and congratulations @Noooooogsh
I've had a bit of cramping too. It's likely just the uterus expanding so unless it's very painful and very regular try not to worry (says the world's biggest worrier!!!)
@Elixabeth oh this is so exciting!! All going well I'll post the scan xxx
