Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

My spotting seems to have stopped today, praying it won't return 🤞
@Noooooogsh I've had on and off cramps and backache for the past week. They feel different to my normal period cramps so seeing it as a good sign!
Haven't braved referring to the midwife... scared I'll MC again and have to cancel all the appointments. I've told myself if it's still going okay next week I'll do it then.

piechipsgravy · 29/02/2024 19:36

@Noooooogsh I'm also crampy but it's mainly trapped wind pain. Also getting some 'lightning crotch' or pinching sensations in my vulva?

@Elixabeth I'm the same as you- want to wait a week before I refer myself in case of chemical

Sorry @Loz365 was meant to add you but memorised the wrong user!

Hi everyone, I'm also very tentatively joining today. I am 9dpo and had a very strong positive today. We lost our son in December at almost 17 weeks, so I'm just going to take each day at a time. I'm very very happy to be joining this group in the meantime though. I'm hoping I'll be able to stay and this little one will make it to full term and healthy. Good luck everyone

GiantRoadPuzzle · 29/02/2024 21:20

Lovely to hear all your positive news.

I’ve been hovering on the Oct group, I’m 5+1 so technically due end of Oct, but have long cycles so very early November is more realistic!

DS was also two weeks late, so gearing up for a November birthday!

Already a very different pregnancy from my first, I’ve been sick as a dog this time round and had zero sickness with DS!

muddlingthrou · 01/03/2024 06:19

@1yearplan - so sorry to hear about your son. Hoping you have a smooth pregnancy xx

Our due date is 7th Nov, but I'm hoping for a Halloween baby! My DD was two weeks early, so there's a chance....

muddlingthrou · 01/03/2024 06:20

@GiantRoadPuzzle - when did your sickness start? I had awful sickness with my last pregnancy from 6 weeks... praying it isn't as bad this time 🤞🏽

piechipsgravy · 01/03/2024 06:48

Is anyone doing daily tests for progression? I know it doesn't mean anything in terms of longer term outcomes but I'm finding it reassuring at the moment to see the line get darker each day!

shohopeful · 01/03/2024 06:52

@piechipsgravy me! Same as you - finding it reassuring and building my confidence totally get this xxx

Congrats to the new joiners!

@1yearplan so sorry to hear about your loss, keeping everything crossed for you 😊

@piechipsgravy I'm trying not to test daily and so far I've managed to do every other day. We're going away for 5 days today and I've limited myself to taking 1 test with me 😂 I'll go back to daily testing as soon as we're home! 🤣

shohopeful · 01/03/2024 07:51

Does anyone else have loads of CM? I keep going to the bathroom worried it's blood and unsure if this is usual at this stage!

About 3 days after my positive test! With DS, I had zero symptoms till about 7 weeks and had a little bit of dizziness.

This time round, I’ve been constantly nauseous, dizzy, sick twice and lots of dry retching (sorry!)

I think I’m going to have to tell work a whole lot earlier, as I’m struggling even working from home.

piechipsgravy · 01/03/2024 09:50

Not sure why but I'm feeling a bit worried today. My test was clearly stronger this morning but I feel less sick and like boobs are less sore than they were yesterday. Need to take it a day at a time but I feel like I'm already so scared of this being over before it's even begun!

@piechipsgravy that is so much stronger!! It'll come in waves. It's so hard not to overthink but the evidence is in the tests. Xxx

@piechipsgravy - I think that's totally normal. I've got a particular viewpoint as I'm pregnant for the second time through fertility treatment. At this stage, your body is being flooded with progesterone, which makes you feel moody and in my experience, pessimistic. Your hormones will level out and you'll feel more positive I bet!

RoseannesMamma · 01/03/2024 12:17

Hello everyone and congratulations!
I got my BFP last week and I’m currently due 4th November although I’ll probably end up with an October baby if my last pregnancy is anything to go by! I’m in a Facebook group for babies due in November but it’s a bit quiet at the moment.

I had severe hyperemesis in my first pregnancy so if anyone wants to talk sickness I’m your girl!! xx

Kinsters · 01/03/2024 12:25

Tentatively joining, I'm due 2nd November but I've had some bleeding and I've had miscarriages before so I'm trying not to get too hopeful. This would be baby no. 3 for me. I'm tired and intermittently nauseous.

I've booked a scan for next week at 5+4. I know it's too early really but I'm not in the UK and the drs here will see you for an early scan from 5 weeks if you've got worries like miscarriage before or bleeding.

piechipsgravy · 02/03/2024 10:16

Morning! How is everyone feeling today?

We've just booked a private viability scan for when I'll (hopefully!) be 8 + 1 based on LMP or 8 + 3 based on ovulation. We thought that if we can see a heartbeat, great, and if things aren't going to plan we'd rather find out then than at the 12 week scan. Has anyone else booked a private scan?

shohopeful · 02/03/2024 10:24

@piechipsgravy that sounds like a great plan. Everything crossed for you. We also have a private scan booked for Good Friday when I'm 8 weeks exactly (I think!). I keep checking for blood but it's just CM. I'm absolute knackered but not sleeping great. Can't seem to regulate my body temp?? Is this normal? I'm roasting then freezing. Also can't stop eating. I usually eat little and often but having huge meals. Just going with it! How are you? Xxx

1yearplan · 02/03/2024 10:31

Morning ladies. @piechipsgravy I had lots of early scans, it's so lovely to watch them develop from so tiny.
I've got a headache this morning. I've had a little bit of pink when wiping after the toilet. My period isn't due for another couple of days, so I'm praying this little one sticks and it's not a chemical pregnancy.

shohopeful · 02/03/2024 10:40

@1yearplan implantation bleeding tends to happen before your period so it's likely that. Everything crossed xxx

OP posts:
shohopeful · 02/03/2024 10:40

@1yearplan before your period would usually have come. Not that if would come!

OP posts:
1yearplan · 02/03/2024 10:52

@shohopeful, that's what I'm hoping for. The only reason I tested early was because my husband suggested it. I was due to work on Friday and in my industry you can't do the job when you're pregnant. I didn't ever expect a positive result. I just hope that it's implantation bleeding, like you suggested 🤞

muddlingthrou · 02/03/2024 12:23

I've got an early scan booked with the fertility clinic when I'll be 7.5 weeks. All being well, we should be able to hear the heartbeat then 🤞🏽

I absolutely empathise with the problems with temp regulation. I usually run hot, but I've been tucking my ice cold hands and feet under my DH in bed (much to his dismay) and then pushing him away from the hot sweats an hour later! Also starving but starting to get that edge of nausea 😕

piechipsgravy · 02/03/2024 13:09

@muddlingthrou nausea has hit for me today- after worrying yesterday that it had disappeared, it's back with a vengeance! Also having some mild period esque cramps. I've read about 100 articles that explain that it's not a cause for concern but I'm still leaping to worst case scenario.

Off to London today for a 30th birthday party that I'll have to not drink at- hoping it will be a good distraction from my raging anxiety though! The illogical part of my brain thinks the universe is punishing me for booking a scan 😅
