Hi all,

I've just found out I'm pregnant and due Nov. I've found Mumsnet so helpful during conception so wanted to start a thread on pregnancy if anyone wanted to join. I'm feeling VERY tired, I've had cold feet (literally) and jelly legs today. I had very heavy implantation bleeding last time (which ended in loss about 4 weeks later) and none of that so far so hoping that's a positive sign. Have the strangest feeling already that it's a boy. How's everyone else doing? Xxx

Morning all, so I had my follow up scan this morning after no heartbeat and no yolk sac last week. They found a little heartbeat!! I'm in total shock, I've still got no symptoms and I'm still bleeding. I'd deleted my pregnancy apps and bought some Prosecco for the weekend 🤦‍♀️
I have been warned that I'm still a risk of miscarriage, but the little one is holding on for now. They've dated me at 7 weeks today.
I hope you're all doing well.

Just found this thread 🧵 hey ladies, I’m 6+2 today with our first baby conceived via ICSI in Feb. Very eagerly awaiting our viability scan at 7+1, poas addict though I’ve went cold turkey from yesterday. No real symptoms apart from loss of appetite some days and slightly tender boobs.

ECH11 · 22/03/2024 10:10

Ahhh so nice to see some positive nuggets this morning on here!
@waryandbored fingers crossed it was just too early at your scan and tomorrows blood work is positive for you x

@1yearplan so pleased you got to see a heartbeat, very positive sign I hope!!

My 8 week scan is at 12 today. I’ve been on edge all morning waiting around, just praying it’s good news!
Last scan two weeks ago she thought she could see a flicker but nothing was clear so wanted me back for reassurance so fingers crossed x

Come on baby ECH111 show your mum a lovely strong heartbeat today.

@waryandbored keeping my fingers crossed the blood test shows all of the right things tomorrow. Keep us updated. I'll be thinking of you.

@1yearplan - over the moon for you! That is so exciting. Hope all progresses well for you from here.

I am really struggling with the nausea. It starts soon after I wake up and the meds I've been prescribed barely make a dent. I think I will have to go back to the doctor for something stronger 😫 I totally understand the people worried by minimal symptoms as this is I've been through a bout of bleeding where we thought it was all over... but I wouldn't wish this sickness on anyone! Anyone who says pregnancy is a magical ride is joking!

@CadoAvo - definitely think this thread will be done before the day is out!

CurlyWurly1991 · 22/03/2024 10:29

Lovely news @1yearplan

thanks for the advice upthread about when to book in - good point if I call the gp they/midwife will triage whatever is coming in and contact me when appropriate. Think I’ll call on Monday or Tues next week. Just nervous every day atm really, not even 5 weeks.

IsItFinallyMe · 22/03/2024 10:44

@1yearplan thats great news!! So pleased for you, contact your GP and see if they can prescribe progesterone pessaries, the NICE guidance states anyone with bleeding should be offered them https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng126/chapter/Recommendations#management-of-miscarriage
1.5.2Offer vaginal micronised progesterone 400 mg twice daily to women with an intrauterine pregnancy confirmed by a scan, if they have vaginal bleeding and have previously had a miscarriage. [2021]

My GP arranged for my scan I had this week to confirm intrauterine pregnancy, I’m measuring 6w+2 and have started progesterone. My Gp arranged for this due to me having a previous loss and it’s taken 2 years to conceive, hopefully they can offer it you too xxx

1yearplan · 22/03/2024 11:00

Thanks ladies! The love means a lot.

@IsItFinallyMe I'm sorry to hear that you've had previous losses too. Life can be so unfair. Thankfully, I was prescribed progesterone at my scan last week. So I've been taking it for a week now. I wonder if that's what's helped the pregnancy along? Who knows. I'm going to keep it up though.

I’ve had my blood results this morning. I’ve got high HCG which indicates that what they saw yesterday were two gestational sacs and perhaps it is just earlier than I thought. So back for more bloods tomorrow and then go from there depending on what the results are I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s good news. Does 2 sacs mean twins?

meepthebeep · 22/03/2024 11:11

@1yearplan I’m also on progesterone after a MMC and then spotting/bleeding in this pregnancy. The sonographer spotted on a scan at 5+5 that the bleed is separate to the embryo (just a small hematoma, I think), which is good news. How are you finding the progesterone? It feels a relief to be actively doing something, I was finding ‘wait and see’ quite hard.

Jellybelly888 · 22/03/2024 11:23

@1yearplan i agree with the other posters - you should be offered pessaries for this and i would definitely push for it! Congratulations on your little bean’s heartbeat! Xx

IsItFinallyMe · 22/03/2024 11:26

@1yearplan oh that’s great! Sorry if I missed that on previous messages!
I can’t believe there isn’t awareness about it, my last loss I had bleeding at 6 weeks and wasn’t offered it, I didn’t even know then. I still wonder if things would have been different had I known.
I have been very pushy this time round, I was not entitled to any investigations or fertility treatments due to my partner having children in a previous marriage but thankfully my GP had been super on it trying to do anything and everything she could under primary care.

Hoping it stays positive for us all ❤️💐

piechipsgravy · 22/03/2024 11:42

@1yearplan @waryandbored so pleased you've both had good news this morning!

Can't believe this thread is nearly full... I'm happy to start the next one unless anyone else wants to do the honours?

piechipsgravy · 22/03/2024 11:44

Never mind- made one anyway so we can link it before this thread closes.

@1yearplan excellent news i am so pleased for you!!!

@waryandbored also good news , keep strong I have positive vibes. I'm also fully invested in....2 sacs??! Does this mean TWINS 👀 😍

@piechipsgravy thank you for making new thread will join now

waryandbored · 22/03/2024 12:39

Ha, yes! It could potentially mean a twin pregnancy. Because they’ve not seen anything in the sacs at the moment, they can’t confirm that but hopefully we will see something more definitive next time. I’m focusing on the HCG being high today and not on the possibility of twins 😬

I completely agree, it helps to feel like I'm doing something positive by taking it. We have so little control really.

1yearplan · 22/03/2024 14:26

Thank you for the well wishes. What a Friday!
