Thanks for making part 10 and tagging. I'm checking in :-) Isn't it surreal to think by part 11 a lot of us will have had our babies?!

Congratulations @salamander91 a beautiful boy! I do hope you are both recovering well this evening and I'm sure you're absolutely besotted with him!

I was supposed to have my 38w appointment yesterday but my midwife got called to another home birth so we arranged to see each other on Friday instead, she text me that my due date is next on the home birth list - it's so exciting!

Is anyone else having the HV visit for introductions and getting to know their services etc?

Mine is tomorrow but I'm not keen on having anyone unfamiliar in the house or around my kids at h the moment! I've gone all Mama Hen and overly protective with the end of pregnancy.

With my 2 children only 6 and 4 years old, we are still under the HV so not sure what more information they can possibly provide that I don't already know about 😕

Quick question about colostrum, is it normal for the amount collected to dip up and down? I was so pleased to get 0.7ml yesterday but this evening, I only managed 0.1ml and that was a struggle.

Currently in triage, this baby definitely seems to want to make an appearance before Christmas as my waters have gone! The panic is now real and worrying about everything that not has been done at work 😳😳

@buckingmad same here, my diarrhea from this morning is worse, it feels like a bug, shaking, cramping, back pain, I'm hot and cold but not got a temp as far as I can tell though it feels like I do, I'm cramping and then going every few hours even tho it's just water and I'm prob not drinking enough as I also feel nauseous!
Might have to give the midwife a txt in the morning, I'm due to see her on Friday morning anyway! I'm so uncomfy and miserable!

Garage conversion will be finished today, carpet fitting tomorrow and then the house will start to become normal again over the weekend (hopefully) well the washing machine will be plumbed into the utility and not sat in the middle of my kitchen 🤣

I hadn't tried to collect for a few days @Vikki7 and when I did last night it was hardly worth getting a syringe out to collect. It wasn't even 0.1ml out of both.

Been up since about half 3 with light cramping in my lower stomach, but it's nothing like how it was with ds. Going with the watch and wait method. Read my notes from my midwife apt yesterday and she's put "birth preferences noted, but plan is go with the flow" which is 100% about right because I have my suspicions that I'll have a repeat arrive at the mat unit and baby is here within half hour birth.

@FirstT1meMum hope everything goes well! Gosh this is all so exciting. It’s just a waiting game for us!

Insomnia is kicking my backside here. I'm also 99% sure I have another uti. I've had leukozytes in my last 3 samples but the first one came back clear, second they decided not to send off 🤔 and third only went Tuesday so will chase today. I have symptoms though so I'm hoping they'll just treat anyway at this point because a burning bladder that is also being squished by a baby is no fun!

Morning! I’ve had two contractions in the past 24 hours but that’s it. No waters or plug.

baby feels so low in my pelvis when she kicks it feels like I’m going to wee.

another symptom I’ve had is another bout of diarrhoea. Also yesterday in between the contractions I felt so nauseous I had to go for a 2 hour sleep.

Seeing the consultant today for our final growth scan. Keeping my fingers crossed everything looks good and I can make it through Xmas!

Insomnia and a nasty cold kicking my ass over here. Have had diarrhoea last couple of days after being forever constipated, and getting the odd pain/ tightening but nothing regular. 37+4.

Last day of DD at nursery so will go back to bed once I've dropped her off for a bit then need to get ready for MIL arrival this afternoon.

Ekk how exciting @FirstT1meMum hope everything is okay and goes well! How far along are you?

We've got our last growth scan and consultant appointment today too, trying to think of any last minute questions I might want to ask but coming up blank! No doubt I'll have loads when I leave. Something this week has shifted in my brain from being quite anxious about giving birth/the whole life change to just being so excited to meet him!

Excited for those who think things are starting! Thanks for new thread. 36weeks today. Pelvic pain is horrific.

@FirstT1meMum exciting. Hope your BP settles and you start contracting yourself.

@Vikki7 i was text a couple of times offering to see a HV, I didn’t reply as was a generic email and I don’t feel I need to see them in advance. Like you, I know how the system works and what to expect, plus feeding/safe sleeping/mental health. I’m anxious I’ll see the HV I complained about last time 😬

@suz2285 sorry you're poorly. 3rd trimester is common for these kind of bugs, makes the cramps even worse. Have you got any dioralyte to sip? Stay in bed and rest up.

I’m 36+5 today, got midwife appt this morning, then next one will be 38+5 for a sweep! Can’t believe how quickly the time has passed, a part of me feels sad even though it is hard and I struggle so much. I’m a proper achey Jake this morning after wrapping presents in the floor last night
