Thank you for the new thread!

Ttcdcno1 · 21/12/2023 08:22

Thanks for the thread 👍

suz2285 · 21/12/2023 08:52

@Mummyme87 that's good to know, I've got some lucozade sport and water and some electrolytes! Baby was quiet overnight but moving more now I'm not so dehydrated! I just txt my midwife to let her know as well, I don't really want to go to triage when I'm feeling so terrible tbh!

Def making the cramps worse, I've got diarrhea cramps and Braxton hicks, I'm also so uncomfy cos I didn't move enough yesterday or during the night!

Dannic2018 · 21/12/2023 08:54

Thank you for the new thread.

Good luck @FirstT1meMum hope all is ok.

insomnia is so bloody real now. Had ds in bed with us from 11:30 and hubby obviously was asleep 5 mins later and was snorning! I managed till 2 am after repeatedly waking him up then I kicked him out to sleep on the sofa, I was so cross I had a cry. Queue ds to be unsettled the rest of the night. How we will cope when baby comes I don’t know.

Hospital at 10 this morning to hopefully book in for a section. Still can’t believe I’ve made the decision and I’m going through with it!

Mummyme87 · 21/12/2023 09:11

@suz2285 yes dehydration often results in reduced movements so try and sip if you can. I was desperate to go to hospital for some IV fluids as couldn’t keep anything at all down but knew A&E would send me to labour ward because of the cramps even though they weren’t labour. In the end it was easier to neck some water and feel hydrated even if I then vommed it back!

suz2285 · 21/12/2023 09:27

@Mummyme87 yeah I really do not fancy sitting in triage! I'm up and showered and feeling a bit better so hopefully that's the end of it 🤞🤞🤞

Flossiepot · 21/12/2023 11:49

Ahhh just had a call with our date of the 28th for C Section - unless baby turns but highly unlikely at this point they say 🙈
All these babies coming in December 🥰

Mushroo · 21/12/2023 11:51

Having a wobble! Her growth has slowed on the scan and I’ve basically agreed to what I said I didn’t want…

Pessary tomorrow at 4pm on the ward, no elective slots available until next week.

Im staying positive, and just hoping it goes well and she’s here quickly! Words of encouragement welcomed

Hummusanddipdip · 21/12/2023 11:58

@Mushroo you're in safe hands and they know what they're doing. But honestly, if it's not what you want you are allowed to change your mind. Could you ask for another chat and to discuss other options?

Luhou · 21/12/2023 12:07

Sounds like lots of December babies!

@Mushroo you'll be fine, hopefully the pessary will work for you, and just speed things along a bit.

Mushroo · 21/12/2023 12:45

@Hummusanddipdip @Luhou thank you! I’m feeling weirdly ok about it. I’ve accepted the ward will be shit and it’s going to take ages, so hoping low expectations will help 😂

Would like to meet baby asap so focusing on that…..

WitcheryDivine · 21/12/2023 12:47

Oh wow it really is all happening!!!! Good luck @FirstT1meMum I'll be thinking of you.

For the more clueless (me) what are the symptoms of early labour, from those who've been through it before?

TrudyProud · 21/12/2023 13:01

I'm back- think I dropped off around part 3 as work got busy but I finished 2 weeks ago, baby girl is a 🐷 🥰 and now feel so relaxed waiting for her arrival whilst having lots of Christmas fun with my 20 month old.

Have any babies arrived?

I'm having sweeps in an attempt to entice her out my 🌸 but booked in a CS for 40+2 if she isn't playing ball.

Hopefully everyone is doing well

Dannic2018 · 21/12/2023 15:25

Section booked for next Friday! So baby Rosie will be here 29th December! Got pre op the day before at 2. Consultant asked if I’d like to be sterilised at the same time. I’m feeling all emotions now 😩

sashastuck · 21/12/2023 15:58

Hey @TrudyProud I was thinking of you the other day! Glad to hear all is well!

@FirstT1meMum hope you’re getting on okay 😁

@Dannic2018 oh wow, it must be so surreal having the exact date your bubba will be here. Rest as much as you can now.

@Mushroo It must be scary but you’re in the best hands. Have a good rest tonight if you can. You’ll be with your little baby soon🥰

I’ve just had a consultant call me, I’m so grateful after the anxiety I’ve been feeling about when baby is coming, his size etc. Induction booked for 2nd Jan! Weird knowing baby will be here by/on his due date for sure! @Mummyme87 I didn’t get offered 39 weeks induction but I think I’m okay with what’s been decided. She suggested 4th Jan (my due date) but I just don’t want him to be ‘late’ so asked for a couple of days before!

Redpanda21 · 21/12/2023 16:14

Thanks for the add to new thread.

Ooh blinking heck! It’s all going on!

Good luck @FirstT1meMum and @Mushroo and those with dates already!

I have 36 week growth scan and consultant tomorrow so hoping baby is still on track and growth hasn’t slowed, still not packed my bag. Might have to do that tonight!

Mummyme87 · 21/12/2023 16:31

@sashastuck glad they called you and you have a plan. It’s definitely better waiting it out past 39weeks anyhow as outcomes aren’t improved inducing early. Least you can chill over Christmas and NY, and if he comes before that date that’s okay ❤️

@Mushroo how exciting you get to meet your baby soon, not quite how you imagined but these babies like to throw a curveball. Have a lovely evening, eat good food, do some hand expressing, nice bath, sex if you can face it 😬

my kids have finished school now, going to have a movie night tonight, I’m having a bath. Forgot to get syringes for hand expressing today so will get some tomorrow when I have another bloody hospital appt.

Mushroo · 21/12/2023 16:34

@Mummyme87 thats exactly my plan :) least sexiest sex ever 😂 going to go for a nice lunch tomorrow to relax as I’m not in until 4pm.

Just going with an open mind, noise cancelling headphones and a big nice pillow!

Enjoy movie night with the kids!

Lululumpkin · 21/12/2023 16:38

Marking my place ☺️

BloodontheTracks · 21/12/2023 17:23

I am having to do blood testing four times a day as my fluid is high and the baby is in the high 90th percentiles for AC and HC. This morning I found myself retching over the toilet bowl in the same way I did during the first trimester. Also I feel totally exhausted. Anyone else going through anything similar? I'm between 34 and 35 weeks. They are thinking C-section.

buckingmad · 21/12/2023 17:24

@WitcheryDivine with my DD it was a really slow gradual process. I got more and more lightning crotch and general pressure down there, cramps started off once a day and just gradually became more regular. I had a big loose bowel movement a day or two before waters breaking and was also sick. Then waters broke! That was all over the course of a week or so.

TunnocksTCake · 21/12/2023 18:10

@WitcheryDivine with DD diarrhoea was my first symptom, a couple of days before waters breaking in bed at night - if you haven't already everyone put absorbent pads on your bed!! Similar to this time I had been constipated for ages so that was my main obvious symptom, nothing else happened until after my waters went for me. I don't think I lost my plug or anything.

1992H · 21/12/2023 18:37

@WitcheryDivine with both of mine I had no real signs-waters went first with them both. Not quite sure what I’ll do if they don’t go first this time 😂 probably be in denial!

FirstT1meMum · 21/12/2023 18:50

Thank you all so much! Baby Annabella was born at 37+4 at 7:49am today! Was a super quick labour and I seemed to dilate mega fast!! Baby is absolutely thriving and we are so in love. From waters breaking to her being here was 6 hours.

I had no warning signs it was coming!

Due January 2024 - Part 10!
Mummyme87 · 21/12/2023 18:50

@BloodontheTracks I’ve got an appt tomorrow morning to get the stuff to start a week of blood glucose monitoring, HC and AC 97th centile, joy.
my fluid is normal at the moment, my consultant is just like, you have big babies… which is true. Can’t imagine I’ll be sticking to 4 times a day over christmas week
