Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

Has anyone's symptoms stopped?!
Currently 8+3, symptoms stopped at 7+6.
Had scan at 8+1 and saw heartbeat. ❤️
Consultants said the only symptoms they are focused on would be tiredness and hunger!

@FirstTimeMumma2021
@bobbles4091

thanks both for replying and sharing your stories. It’s kind of nice to know I’m not alone with feeling this way. I’m hoping I can enjoy this pregnancy and really not care about the weight gain. It’s going to be difficult but I’ll definitely try my hardest!

I’m always here too if anyone needs to chat about this particular struggle. I feel like no one understands unless you’re actually going through it yourself xx

Summerness · 23/12/2023 16:34

@Elg90 first-time mum here! Week 3 all I had was a reduced appetite and fatigue. Week 4 was extreme heartburn, a headache, nausea, fatigue & congestion (couldn't breathe). Week 5 I've had insomnia and nothing else. Now 5+5 - who knows what'll happen. Like you I saw a heartbeat yesterday, so trying not to worry too much about symptoms as they seem to come and go!

graceinc22 · 23/12/2023 16:58

@Elg90 yes today i don’t really feel sick - felt very sick earlier this week. Nervous (had a miscarriage in august) but trying to remember that it’s normal to have fluctuating symptoms in the first trimester. X

CharlySwarles · 23/12/2023 19:27

@Millybops thanks! Yeah our dates are super close! I had MC in October as well. Trying not to get too excited yet. Hope it sticks 🤞
No symptoms other than wanting to eat everything! I thought I had a wave of nausea earlier, but might be in my head. I don't usually get symptoms this early.
Hope you feel better soon! Flu sucks x

MissT90 · 23/12/2023 19:53

After a long 11 months of trying I found out today that I am pregnant!! Due end of August/early September according to my apps :)

EMJL · 23/12/2023 19:54

@MissT90 what an amazing Christmas surprise!! Congratulations xx

Thank you so much! I’m still in shock to be honest but couldn’t be happier ❤️

toomanysausages · 23/12/2023 21:13

@Spanglishmummy3 congratulations! I love hearing about large gaps 😁 My Mum had my younger brothers in her late thirsties/early fourties. There are 16 and 20 years between myself and my brothers. Are your other children exited?

toomanysausages · 23/12/2023 21:14

*excited

CurlyWurly1991 · 24/12/2023 08:20

@Spanglishmummy3 I will also have a large gap, all being well with this pregnancy. My daughter is almost 10. When are you planning to tell your children about the new baby? I’m 37 and part of me wants to wait until 12 weeks or even genetic testing, on the other hand I think she will work it out before then. I want her to know before most other people.

brbttc · 24/12/2023 08:53

@MissT90 Awh how lovely, congrats!!Smile

Wish23 · 24/12/2023 10:35

Hi all. I’m around 5+4 today after 9 months trying so over the moon, due around 22nd Aug! I made the mistake of taking a clearblue digital yesterday expecting it to have gone up to 3+ but it stayed at 2-3 weeks, so naturally I’m now a bit worried that things aren’t progressing as they should. Tracked ovulation so dates are fairly accurate. Not taking anymore as it’s just torture & hoping things are still ok. I’m away from partner this Xmas and parents don’t know so feeling a little alone with the worry!

winterspinach · 24/12/2023 10:48

Hi ladies, has anyone else’s resting heart rate dipped a bit at 6weeks? Mine has dropped a few and it’s making me slightly anxious :(

SV12 · 24/12/2023 13:54

@winterspinach hey 👋 I'm 6 weeks and I just checked mine and mines dropped a little in the last two days as well. Still got all symptoms so just going with it's fine ☺️

winterspinach · 24/12/2023 16:36

@SV12 thank you! that’s very reassuring. i had a check on previous threads regarding rhr and many women’s rhr dropped at 6 weeks so i’m guessing it’s normal! i still have my other symptoms to make me feel better lol

Millybops · 24/12/2023 19:11

I'm the same trying to keep the excitement at bay. At least the craziness of Christmas is distracting. I had some left over boot strip tests and I done one last night after an hour hold and it was faint so I got more today and a CB weeks prediction test ( with the intention of holding that one for next week) anyway I was delighted to see my strip test was darker than all the previous ones I had done. CB digi still saying 1-2 weeks but I only tested on Tues so not too concerned... I'm the same with the nausea... Also when I eat I feel full quite quickly which isn't like me... I love my food! How are you going to get away with the no alcohol this Christmas 🤣 I've family over and they will be like Hawks 🤣🤣

bobbles4091 · 25/12/2023 05:41

Merry Christmas!🎄
Has anyone else been super crafty trying to throw relatives off the scent these last few days? I took a flask with non alcoholic rose yesterday and secretly topped myself up. This morning's mimosa is also going to be made from Nosecco, but I'm making it so who's to know! Grin
I told immediate family early doors with DC1, and then a bit later with DC2 due to it being Covid. I preferred having the secret for just us for a while so I'm going to hold out for 8/12 weeks this time. Felt fairly pants yesterday though which was a little isolating, hoping for a bit more energy and appetite today! Hope everyone has a gorgeous day x

CharTT33 · 25/12/2023 08:50

Merry Xmas ladies! Xxx

CatLadyH · 25/12/2023 11:54

graceinc22 · 25/12/2023 12:05

Merry Christmas all, hope everyone manages to eat Christmas dinner without feeling too sick!!! 🎉🎄❤️🎅❤️🎉👍

Slowcookertea · 25/12/2023 12:30

Merry Christmas everyone!

I got up and then back to bed so attempting to get up for a second time now! 😂

have a good day, and just think of all the things we can eat and drink next year! 💭

CurlyWurly1991 · 25/12/2023 13:27

Merry Christmas all… 🤢 not feeling at my best but enjoying the rest and glad not to have guests this year to cook for.

grapestar · 25/12/2023 13:47

Can I join? Got my BFP today - a week late for my period but left testing till this morning so it could be a Christmas present. A bit overwhelmed to be honest as we weren't trying, we have a DD (just turned 2) and I always said I was one and done, kinda excited at the same time though!

Becsim · 25/12/2023 20:52

@CurlyWurly1991 i have a big gap too.
my eldest just turned 11. I also have an 8 year old and a 7 year old.
I think they’ll be really excited to find out. Were going to have an early scan at 8 weeks then tell them after that. :)
