Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

Hey ladies,

Anyones else experienced diarrhoea? 🤯🤯🤯🤯

I'm blaming this message for my diarrhoea this evening 😂 Given me bad vibes.

OMG I cannot cope with my boobs. I think they've got bigger. And so sore.

I usually only wear quite supportive stretchy crop tops and they feel both too tight and not supportive enough. Can anyone recommend a bra please???

I'm a size 16 and 36E normally

I've got a pack of three ASDA crop tops/bras that are brilliant and very supporting whilst also noylt feeling restrictive.

Lexlum · 22/12/2023 20:51

@EMJL thanks 🙂 xx

Hi everyone! Hope you don’t mind me joining this forum!
I’m due AF on Xmas Eve but I’ve been doing the early pink dye tests and have very strong lines ❤️😊
estimated due date is aug 30th with baby no2.

so exciting! I have very sore boobs and I am absolutely shattered!!!! Sooo tired. No other symptoms yet. I had bad sickness on my son so I’m praying that doesn’t come back!

this may be over sharing but for over 10 years I’ve had disordered eating.. I’m basically petrified to put on weight.. I am having counselling in January to help with this .. as I don’t want to be scared of getting bigger in my pregnancy 😣 does anyone else suffer with anything like this too? I am feeling super scared and just worrying about what’s to come.. I gained 4st on my son and really don’t want to do that again. But like I said I just want to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy as this time round it’s taken us a while to catch!

sorry for too much info.

hope you’re all doing well ❤️

TigerJoy · 22/12/2023 21:22

@LottieW93

I understand how you feel. I put on 4 stone after a breakdown and lost it in order to get pregnant. I'm still overweight and would have liked to lose more. I already feel very ashamed of my weight as it is.

I'm continuing to weigh myself and honestly so far, despite eating almost constantly I haven't put on much.

When I worry I focus on eating 3 sensibly sized meals a day, with one sweet treat per day. Every meal has to include protein (1/4 of the plate), carbohydrates (1/4 of the plate) and at least 2 different vegetables (half the plate). I make a huge effort to eat the rainbow. A piece of fruit after the meal if I can manage it.

I'm sure others will chime in to say you need to eat enough for the baby. In reality you don't need to eat more until the 3rd trimester. But you do need to fuel yourself, and you do need to eat quality food if you can manage it.

In reality, I've either been feeling so shit I can't eat much at all or I've been stuffing my face so it's evening out. I think if you're ok eating now enjoy it! You may not feel like eating much later. I've done whole IVF cycles where I could only really eat pringles. Which is not good.

Well done for acknowledging how you feel and organising an appointment with a counsellor. You can also request an appointment with a nutritionist through your GP if you're worried, to get some professional advice on what you should be eating.

Apologies for the essay.

I've asked to join the FB group too! Initials are KM.
I haven't had much of a chance to catch up on this thread, it's been a busy week. I'm 7+4 now and the all-day nausea has hit me hard this week 😅

DisneyLady1 · 22/12/2023 22:55

Hi @LottieW93 welcome. That is really positive that you are seeing a Councillor , I really hope that it helps :)

I can empathise as someone who had an eating disorder for a long time (and still feels it from time to time). It is a tough thing to manage.

CatLadyH · 22/12/2023 23:01

Had my booking in appt with midwife and went for a private scan today. Thought I was 8wk1 but measuring 7wk6 not surprised as I sometimes ovulate a bit later in cycle. Was amazing to see that tin6 heartbeat on screen and put my mind at ease somewhat.

CharTT33 · 22/12/2023 23:08

@fr4zzledmum hahahhahahahaahaha I apologise! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣 hope it doesn’t last xx

CharTT33 · 22/12/2023 23:10

@SnookyPook So happy for you regarding your scan my love xx

SMD16 · 23/12/2023 06:51

Is anyone testing regularly for line progression? I've just had a rubbish one this morning... I'm considering ignoring it and waiting for tomorrow for another test with a different brand.

Praying it's a one off duff test 🤞🏻

Due August 2024!
etaketak1991 · 23/12/2023 06:56

@SMD16 How far are you along? Pregnancy tests can have a hook effect, where the level of hormone is so strong is starts reading back as a weaker line. Also could be a faulty test! ❤️

@TigerJoy

Don’t apologise for the essay, I really really appreciate it.
I’ll definitely try and take that advice on board! And hopefully when I’ve seen my therapist I’ll have different ways of dealing with things etc. trying to relax for now and embrace it - and I think I’ll definitely ask my GP about the nutritionist! Thanks again for all your advice x

@DisneyLady1 thanks so much. It’s hard isn’t it. I don’t think stuff like this ever completely goes away? Just have to live with it 💔

anyway thanks for letting me join girls. And I’d love to join the Facebook group too if that’s ok?

SMD16 · 23/12/2023 07:04

@etaketak1991 approx 5ish weeks (not 100% on ovulation as only my 2nd cycle since having my DD and the first cycle was 47 days 🤣. Yesterday's tests on CB were much stronger and the other one from the pack of this Tesco one. I think I'll just go back to trusty FRER.

DisneyLady1 · 23/12/2023 07:08

@LottieW93 I know what you mean :( I have to catch myself sometimes when I start going back into it. Usually in times of stress! It sounds like you are doing everything you can. Wishing you the best :) I am also seeing a therapist for anxiety. It is one of the best decisions I have made in a long time.

Spanglishmummy3 · 23/12/2023 07:48

Hello August bumps Smile

Would love to join if possible.

I'm Zoe, I'm 42 and expecting baby no. 3 with massive gaps!
My eldest is 16 and youngest is 9 so it's all new again and probably a planned section this time around after 2 very traumatic births prior.

It's great to be here and looking forward to chatting x

LottieW93 · 23/12/2023 07:51

@DisneyLady1 i agree.. stressful times are definitely a trigger. And obviously with it being Christmas how can you possibly eat healthily?! I am going to enjoy the next couple of days but after Christmas is over I’m gunna have a had start before the new year.. I’m in a spiral of bad habits at the moment so need to slowly get out of it. And healthy is best for me and the baby so just hoping I’m well enough to continue that!

I didn’t have sickness till about 6-8 weeks with my son, so I’ve got a few weeks to try and get into some sort of routine lol xx

Adventtime · 23/12/2023 09:11

Help, I feel awful! It’s like a sickness / racing heart / breathless feeling. I hope this isn’t going to continue because it’s awful. I just want to sleep :(

SunSparkle · 23/12/2023 10:34

@SnookyPook it is horrible. I thought I might have a progesterone issue as I had a very short luteal phase but no one seemed to take it seriously but I’ve got my progesterone pessaries now and hoping that they do their magic

@TigerJoy theyve given me the pessaries so will give them a go and if they are horrendous, I don’t think I would mind doing injections as I had blood thinners after my last birth and I think they are much more stingy

Isitisit · 23/12/2023 11:18

@SunSparkle I’m on the progesterone injections. They aren’t painful at all so I’m sure you will be fine if you need them.

CharlySwarles · 23/12/2023 12:04

Excited to be joining the conversation!
BFP this morning, period was due today but took a test in case - had a hunch, though no big symptoms yet. Have a 2 year old son and had a MC in October, so trying to keep chill about it. Due Aug 29th ish
Is there a FB group or anything like that for people due in Aug?

Millybops · 23/12/2023 12:53

Hi guys 👋
Love to join this thread. Little about me. I'm 32 stage 3 endo... Had a chemical back in October and a surprise natural pregnancy this month... Struggled to conceive for many years have done 3 rounds of IVF before again 1 chemical and 2 failed... So nervous to say the least. Had a little hunch on Sunday evening and tested on cheapie and super super super faint line... Digital CB POS and then couple of days later darker line and CB 1-2 weeks.
Symptoms.. I am getting cramps on and off I don't know if this is my endo reacting to hormones... Backache today.. nausea on and off. Super sore and enlarged boobs! But I'll take it all 100 times more if I know it will be all ok this time around. I'm smothering with the flu at the moment which also has me nervous. But I cramped bad and bleed heavily within a couple of days after my positive test in Oct and we never got passed 1-2 weeks.
Plan this time around is text next week see if it's moved to 2-3 then consult GP.

I hope all you guys are feeling well. I've read through some comments and it's exciting to see someone of you guys have had your first scans and saw heartbeats.

From anyone who's going through a loss. My thoughts are with you. It's heartbreaking I know ❤️

By online calculations my EDD is 28th of Aug 2024 ❤️

Millybops · 23/12/2023 13:01

Congratulations we almost have the same due date. How are you feeling ?

FirstTimeMumma2021 · 23/12/2023 13:29

Well done for sharing and recognising as that's a battle in itself so you should be so proud of yourself.

I had an eating disorder for 15 years, in my last pregnancy I did loads of walking and ate pretty much what I wanted and it helped.

Any type of anxiety is horrid, I've had 3 back to back panic attacks this morning and got myself into such a state. Trying everything but it's easier said than done x

Good luck xx

I can't find the original post for this but wanted to show support. I am also in recovery for an eating disorder and I am presently 6 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I have had two very different experiences during my pregnancies. First time it was like a holiday from my ED, never have I ever felt so confident and comfortable in my skin. I ate what I wanted when I wanted. This was great during pregnancy but left me quite vulnerable afterwards. With my DC2 I relapsed into bulimia during my first trimester which was absolutely horrific and left me feeling guilty and ashamed (I suspect I had prenatal depression). I worked with a Clinical Psychologist which was revelationary and I ended up healing a lot during my 2nd and 3rd trimester. Less than 3 years later I am my most healthy and recovered I've ever been, so I'm hopeful this pregnancy I might have a chance at getting the balance right. I am always happy to lend an ear to anybody going through the same, whatever your experience looks like, and hoping I can learn from you too ❤️
