Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

@etaketak1991 ooh yes I like seraphine too! But a bit pricey for my budget. I probably need a more everyday range - usually like cos, &other stories, uniqlo. Will probably need a mooch around the shops at some point in the new year. A lot of the maternity wear is stretchy stuff to highlight the bump which I don’t really want since I will just look like I’ve eaten too many pies for a while 😆 probably need some maternity black trousers and then just floaty normal tops would do it.

@CurlyWurly1991 I love Seraphine's stuff but can only afford their sale prices 😂 They have some very professional looking blouses and trousers etc.

Same 😅 I treated myself to some of their clothing on Black Friday 🙌

I've been wearing Christmas jumpers to work since the start of December. Plenty of tummy room there atm.

HappySunday1 · 20/12/2023 20:12

I’m to have to leave this group ended up in hospital on the weekend with extreme pain and bleeding and it’s been confirmed as a miscarriage. Will be onwards and upwards from now on will hopefully be able to try again soon

EMJL · 20/12/2023 20:13

@HappySunday1 I'm so so sorry to hear this lovely. Take some time and please look after yourself ❤️ thinking of you xx

pontipinemum · 20/12/2023 20:20

@HappySunday1 I am so sorry to hear that 😓

Summerness · 20/12/2023 20:22

@HappySunday1 sorry to hear this. Please take care of yourself 🫂

Hey ladies, I had my first scan yesterday and as well as a sac, I found out that I now have two uterine fibroids measuring 3cm. I didn't have them in October and I've never had them before. Do fibroids often appear during pregnancy? Do they continue to grow? Is this why I've been permanently bloated for weeks and often have shooting pains?

HappySunday1 · 20/12/2023 20:45

Thank you I’m just trying to process it all and wishing it will end quickly it’s been 5 of symptoms and bleeding which is making it feel worse. Why do the movies make it look like it’s over in 5 minutes.

SV12 · 20/12/2023 20:49

@HappySunday1 I am so sorry, I hope you are able to find some peace for yourself over the Christmas period, whatever that looks like for you.

DisneyLady1 · 20/12/2023 20:58

I'm so sorry to hear this @HappySunday1 , and am truly really sorry for your loss. It is a confusing time, and will take time to heal. Take it easy, and let yourself grieve. I hope you have supportive friends and family nearby over Christmas.

Pixiedust138 · 20/12/2023 21:03

@Hello98765 im due August 10th too and I don’t really have any symptoms! Some days a a bit of nausea, sometimes sore boobs but it’s on and off! I had an early scan at 6 weeks 2 days on Monday and everything looked good, we saw the baby’s heartbeat too so all seems well despite the lack of symptoms x

Pixiedust138 · 20/12/2023 21:05

@HappySunday1 I am so sorry to hear this. Sending you love x

Pixiedust138 · 20/12/2023 21:09

@fsr111 I’m so pleased to hear your scan went well! Mine was too, it was lovely seeing the heartbeat and having that reassurance that everything was OK. I’ve actually got a private scan booked for 12th Jan as I didn’t realise I’d be getting an early one on the NHS, so I’m really looking forward to that and being able to see a bit more as I’ll be nearly 10 weeks 🥰

SnookyPook · 20/12/2023 21:09

@HappySunday1 so very sorry to hear this. There are some wonderfully supportive threads on the miscarriage board if you would like to chat to others who have been through loss. Sending a massive hug and hope you're doing as ok as can be. 💕

FTMAUG24 · 20/12/2023 21:56

Hello!

feeling very grateful to find this thread 😅

I had a confirmed test on Monday after trying since July for our first child and were very excited! I’ve been told I’m 6 weeks today, but that is based on my last period date with a 28 day cycle (mine is A LOT longer typically) so I think I’m more likely to be about 4 weeks along.

I was getting really bad nausea and morning sickness for the last few days and I’ve had to take time off of work because of it. The doctor has also prescribed me some tablets to help but I’m now concerned as I feel less sick this evening as I have previously and I’ve read that this is a sign things could be ending in a MC. I’m now overthinking every symptom.

How early can i realistically get an early scan? I’m thinking about going private to try and (hopefully) squash my anxieties, but want to be sure that they’ll be able to see a heartbeat and I’m not going too early.

RiverBear · 20/12/2023 23:32

@HappySunday1 So sorry to hear this. I hope you get all the love and support from your loved ones ❤️

Becsim · 21/12/2023 05:52

@HappySunday1
so sorry to hear this. Hoping you’ll get your baby soon.

Becsim · 21/12/2023 05:55

Please could I join the fb group. My initials are RS.

I told my bosses yesterday. They were so lovely. (Also relieved that I’d finish the academic year as baby is due 26th August.)

Also booked a scan for 18th Jan, will be 8+3 then. Got booking appointment on 15th Jan and feel anxious so desperate to see baby.

Congrats everyone who has seen their bubbas so far.

graceinc22 · 21/12/2023 06:22

@FTMAUG24 i think 6 weeks is possible to see a heartbeat, but I was advised to wait until 7 weeks to make it less likely that you’ll go and they won’t be able to see too much (and then you have to come back again!). I have had a previous mc though and would have been on very high alert at any scan - I’m sure for lots of people a 6 week scan is ok!

@SnookyPook your scan is today right?? Hope it goes really well and all the best with the scanxiety!! X

graceinc22 · 21/12/2023 06:24

@HappySunday1 I’m so, so sorry. The club no one wants to be in, of women who have experienced miscarriage. I was completely taken aback by the levels of physical pain and physical traumaticness of it all as well as the emotional. It is such a significant thing and you should really look after yourself ❤️

pontipinemum · 20/12/2023 11:55

@Blueberry1990 I just set one up, a lot of people are asking for one. I called it "When the poppies will bloom" because supposedly poppies are the flower of August

I'm happy to change the name so let me know any suggestions. Also would one/two of you be able to be admins as well?

@SnookyPook thinking of you today and hope your scan goes amazing!!

Summerness · 21/12/2023 07:58

Hey everyone, 5 weeks along with my first pregnancy. I had my first scan on Tuesday and as well as a sac, I found out that I now have two uterine fibroids measuring 3cm. I didn't have them in October and I've never had them before. Do fibroids often appear during pregnancy? Do they continue to grow? Googling tells me that they make miscarriage likely, so I'm trying not to freak out
