Hi all! I'm 4 weeks exactly today, due date is 4th August ☺️ This will (hopefully) be DC2!

How is everyone feeling? I've got sore boobs, mild cramps and waves of nausea that I didn't get until week 6 with my DD so I guess it's starting early, lucky me 🥳

Hello! Congratulations!

Im a day or so ahead of you and due August 3rd. I had a MMC in July this year at 12 weeks and this pregnancy has come as a real shock. Despite only finding out a few days ago the anxiety has already set in but trying hard to enjoy and know that what will be will be.

So far I’ve had very sore and tender boos, really bad back pain, pelvic cramps and I’ve napped 2 days running. I’ve had a teeny bit of nausea but got none at all last time so unsure how that might work out?!?!

deliwoman1 · 26/11/2023 18:24

Hi 👋🏾 Congrats to you both! I’m due August 3rd too, with what will (hopefully) be DC2. We’d been trying 6 months and I’m 41 in feb so I didn’t think it was going to happen. Prior to our DD we had losses too. The anxiety is real and I keep spiking a fever with this awful cold I’ve got so that’s not helping! 🥺 I’m trying to keep things in perspective.

No symptoms for me yet except maybe a bit of heartburn which I don’t usually get. Felt absolutely nothing on implantation!

etaketak1991 · 26/11/2023 19:03

@GeographyTeacher @deliwoman1 Hi! 👋 Congratulations to you both too. Sorry to hear about your previous MCs, wishing you sticky baby dust ❤️

I'm feeling a bit anxious too. I had a private early viability scan with DD when I was 9 weeks last time, thinking about doing it again! Harder to magic up the money for it around Christmas time though 😂

I'm so glad there's an August 24 thread! I'm due tomorrow, but the HCG strips have been very clear 😁

Prettyinred · 26/11/2023 21:40

hi
I tested yesterday and for the first time ever tested positive!! Considering I have stage 4 endometriosis and 40 I can’t believe it.
I’m guessing I’m just over 3 weeks.
I took three pregnancy tests!
I thought it was bad period pains but felt more sick and I’ve been quite dizzy and very tired, very similar to endo but then
my tummy has been fluttering too.
no idea when I’m due based on this. I will definitely have an early scan.

Prettyinred · 26/11/2023 21:41

And congratulations 🥳 everyone!

CatLadyH · 26/11/2023 22:39

Hi all. Tested this evening as been away over the weekend AF is late and got a BFP! Delighted but very anxious, just want to get further than we did before and I’ll hopefully be able to relax a bit more 💖 Had an early MC at the start of June, really didn’t process it until a good few months later. Feel in such a better place now due August 2nd according to Flo app.

ACWI2021 · 26/11/2023 23:11

Hi and congratulations everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining Smile

I was deciding whether to join a July or August due chat, as I just got my bfp on Friday when my af was 2 day late. According to LMP, I'm 5+6, but my period cycle ranges from 34-37days, so I think I'm only 5wks atm (CB says 2-3wks). This would be DC2. DC1 came late at 41+6, so if DC2 follows this lateness, should be due first week of August.

Not much symptoms yet, altho did have that cramping early in the week, thinking af was arriving, but it never did, so did a test. We were very lucky, this was our 2nd month trying.

Just hoping the nausea doesn't kick in, I suffered it badly with DC1 throughout most of the pregnancy.

dancingmonkey · 26/11/2023 23:21

Finally got my positive yesterday!! after years of secondary infertility and three rounds of ivf. Couldnt belive my eyes. I tested much later than previous cycles as I was convinced it hadn’t worked with no symptoms at all and could not bare to see that single line again. Think my due date is the 10th august.

dindot · 27/11/2023 08:07

Congratulations everyone! I've recently found out I'm due 4th Aug with my second. Previously had a MMC earlier this year so trying hard to manage the anxiety I've felt since the positive test. Glad to have this thread!

CRbear · 27/11/2023 11:37

Hi everyone! Due early august here!- obviously super early days. This is my second pregnancy, but I miscarried first time. This is my first cycle after the miscarriage so I haven’t even had a period. I have PCOS and I ovulated day 64 so feeling a bit incredulous at the moment. It took us 7 months to fall pregnant the first time, so I can’t believe we’ve essentially fallen pregnant two months in a row. I thought I’d be super anxious but I’m not (yet) and am in fact crazy confident that it will be okay this time. Long may that last. No symptoms really! And last time I had a lot so that’s quite weird. Mainly just super excited. Last time I was so worried about costs etc but now I’m just so grateful and I know we will make it work.

i will need to register with the hospital soon and I don’t know whether to put first day of last period or what it “should” have been if I had regular cycles because they will think I am much farther along than I am? I track BBT so I know my dates.

Maybepossibly22 · 27/11/2023 17:38

Hi! Tentatively dipping my toe in here. Got a faint BFP today so if all is successful I will be due 5th August. Had a MMC January 2022 so feeling very anxious, this is my first even hint of a BFP since then so keeping my fingers firmly crossed!

etaketak1991 · 27/11/2023 19:01

Welcome everyone! ❤️ I'm so glad there's so many of us to talk with ☺️ Sending sticky baby dust for you all. Has anyone got in touch with their GP/hospital yet? I'm dropping past tomorrow! I know I had a paper form to fill out last time, but that was pre COVID so I assume everything has changed now!

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 27/11/2023 19:02

I filled in an online form already for mine :) Very eager of me!

Pixiedust138 · 27/11/2023 19:31

Congratulations everyone! I just found out yesterday that I’m pregnant and I’m so over the moon but it hasn’t really sunk in! This will be my second. It took 13 months of trying with my first, he’s now 18 months. We haven’t used any contraception since he was born but this is our first month of proper trying, tracking ovulation, using pre-seed and timing sex!

Has anyone thought about when they will announce since it’s so close to Christmas? We have so many family get togethers coming up and I don’t know how I’m going to hide it 🙈

Pixiedust138 · 27/11/2023 19:33

I have, extremely early as I’m only 3 weeks 2 days, but I have a blood condition and will need medication so it was a necessity for me register asap. Did feel a bit weird though thinking about what hospital I want to give birth in!

GeographyTeacher · 27/11/2023 20:44

Congratulations everyone.

I’ve been struggling today with some anxiety. I had a call with my GP who told me to stop taking medication for a bowel condition following a MMC back in July. She said it was being cautious but I also know that in a few days I’m going to have unpleasant symptoms. I just feel so worried that I’m going to follow e same path and miscarry again.

Hoping that reading here will help keep me cam
and focused on the day ahead.

dindot · 27/11/2023 22:10

Sorry to hear that @GeographyTeacher. Post here as much as you need.

newjourney21 · 27/11/2023 22:36

Hi all, I hope it's ok for me to join! I just found out today that I'm 4 weeks, still a bit in shock! I hope everyone is feeling okay 😊

SunSparkle · 28/11/2023 07:33

Hiya! I’m 36 and due August 5th I think! I have one daughter who will be 3 in Feb and was pregnant earlier in the year that resulted in a missed miscarriage discovered at the 12 week scan.

my previous two pregnancies I’ve also had hyperemesis gravidarium. Getting in touch with my doctor today to start prophylactic meds for that to see if we can calm it before it starts. I’ve had amazing support from the charity Pregnancy Sickness Support

im excited but extremely scared and nervous. My last pregnancy stopped growing at 9 weeks so I think a few private reassurance scans are in my future.

boonpop98 · 28/11/2023 10:23

Hello everyone,
Just found out im 4 weeks pregnant based on LMP
Due date is august 6th

Lostlawyer26 · 28/11/2023 10:44

Congratulations everyone! I am nervously joining as I have just found out I am pregnant but have had two previous losses (one ectopic). Fingers crossed this one sticks!

ACWI2021 · 28/11/2023 11:08

Sticky baby dust to all!

I'm thinking of doing a private early reassurance scan before a week or two before Christmas and then maybe decide to announce or not to family. I would be about 10wks by Christmas day...still a bit early but would be nice for the parents to know they are getting another grandchild!

Emailed the hospital today, the closest one (5mins drive away) only does antenatal and post natal care, but no birthing unit. The hospital that's in the same trust that has a birthing unit is about 35mins drive away. Whereas there is another hospital that's in a different trust is 15mins drive away that would do the antenatal care and has a birthing unit. Still deciding which one to go to...if I can get antenatal care in closest one, and then give birth in the other trust's hospital would be ideal. Last time we had DD in the further hospital and DH had to drive home at 3am, hungry and tired after over 13hrs labour.

Pixiedust138 · 28/11/2023 11:57

What symptoms is everyone having at the moment?

Pixiedust138 · 28/11/2023 11:59

I was planning an early scan and announcement at Christmas too but realised I’ll only be 7 weeks by Christmas Day and won’t be able to have a scan in time 😫 I’ve booked a scan for the following week anyway. I think we will probably announce to only very close family anyway at Christmas to make our lives easier
