Due November 2023 ✨

Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

@HannahLouD hey lovely! Been on a couple of the other threads with you! So glad you got your BFP! My due date is around 31st October so pretty close to yours!

Also my first was 8 days over so I'm expecting a November baby 😆

Hi @HannahLouD I’m similar to you in that I tested (twice) yesterday and both positives. Ran the dates through the NHS calculator and we got the 2 November also.

Agree very early days but excited, nervous, all of the above and more. Still doesn’t feel real, and I don’t think it will until I have a scan done at around 8 weeks.

Hello! 😊😊 Ah yes! Thank you! And to you too! 🥳

I had my first at 37+4 (I think!?) hahaa... But only because I was induced due to reduced movements... She was 7lb 5oz but I just know if she had the choice she would have stayed in there a lot longer 😅
That was 5 years ago now and I wished that pregnancy away as I was quite poorly with various things and on my own and I just wanted to meet her. But I'm so looking forward to it this time, especially as my DD can be involved and I have a great partner now... I am going to try to cherish every moment... It's such an amazing, special time and feeling! At least we will give birth before Christmas time gets into full swing!

I currently can't really relax at all though due to obsessively looking up stats about chemicals and miscarriages in general (which I know isn't helpful at all 🙄)

I'm not sure if I have any symptoms yet or if I'm just trying to find them, if that makes sense? 😂 I think I have been feeling a bit nauseous on and off for the past couple of days and on and off tingly nipples as well as being really tired (but I'm always tired so 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈)

With my first, the thing that prompted me to test was an extremely heightened sense of smell the day before AF was due (although wasn't expecting to be pregnant as I wasn't trying at all!). I think I then got sore nipples around 5 weeks then heavy boobs and nausea starting around 6 weeks... I know every pregnancy is different though!

How are you feeling with everything? x

Hi! 😊

Congrats on your bfp! 🥳

Yes, feeling the same as you! I was thinking of having a scan at 8 weeks just to hopefully get some reassurance and put my mind at rest between now and the 12 week scan... It all seems so far away! x

Thanks! I must admit I was a bit taken aback about how dark the positive line was, it was the same colour as the control line. But the clear blue digital only shows 1-2 weeks which tracks.

this is my first so I think I’ll need the 8 week scan to tie me over from feeling anxious etc but yeah 12 weeks feels an incredibly long way off!

Hi everyone! My due date should be 3rd of November - I got quite a strong positive at 9DPO a couple of days ago so my period isn't even due until like Saturday but hoping it will all be good :) I will be manically testing for the rest of the week !

@HannahLouD so far I'm feeling weirdly relaxed! With my first I was quite anxious and checked a link to a miscarriage rate predictor thing for weeks! I think I'm still in a bit of shock/disbelief that it's happened though so maybe I'll get more anxious when it feels more real! Last time I also didn't tell anyone (other than DH) until after the 12wk scan, whereas we've already told our mothers and my sister this time! Partly cos I think I may need more help with having a toddler and not being in lockdown this time round! I just feel like I want to try and enjoy it though and embrace the positives. My sister had a few losses and she said to me that if it's going to happen it happens whether you feel excited or worried so you might as well try and enjoy the ride...

Hi @TaTaForNow @anna2101 @flightless55 congrats! Lovely to be able to share this journey with others at a similar stage 🥰

There were a few BFPs on a couple of the Conception threads I was on - may try and add some of those if I can remember them all...

Glad you're feeling relaxed! And you're totally right about about just enjoying the ride... I'll try my best! 😅 If I'm still pregnant in a couple of weeks, I might book in for a scan at around 8 weeks to tide me over 🙈
Sounds like we are the complete opposite! Last time I told my family straight away, this time I'm not going to tell anyone (apart from dp who obviously knows!) until after the 12 week scan... I do want to tell my mum, but I know she won't keep it to herself, so going to try to wait. x

🙋🏻‍♀️ Hello! Yaaaas congrats everybody! This will be baby #2 (pregnancy #3) for me 🌈 Due on 2nd November.

Feeling quite content and excited at the moment, although it's just hit me that it might be tricky to control a toddler while trying to look after a newborn 😂 My daughter will have just turned 2 by the time this one arrives so probably well into the terrible twos! 🙈

My husband and I work with his parents (family business making cheese!) so we told them straight away with our daughter so we could start planning my maternity cover. Glad i did because i had awful morning sickness and had to have crackers in my pockets at all times and i think they would've noticed 😂.

My parents live overseas and they're visiting in August for a month - i'm tempted to not say anything and surprise them with a bump at the airport but I don't think i could keep a secret like that from them for that long!

When i fell pregnant in October we were forced to tell our families about it as my MIL was planning a holiday at the same time that baby was due and was really pressuring everybody to commit to the dates so she could book it. I didn't want to say anything at the time as something didn't feel right about the pregnancy. Wish we hadn't because it ended in a mmc! Although it was nice to have the support i think it made me feel worse because i was trying really hard to hide how upset i was and i also didn't want to let them down and not go to work (even though all i wanted to do was rest).

So that's put me off saying anything this time for a little while 😅 - I think my husband will want to tell his parents soon though. We lost our one at 8 weeks just before Xmas (which is when it usually happens, if it's going to). So if i'm feeling a bit wobbly about waiting for the 12 week scan maybe i'll think about an early one first to check everything is ok.

Anyway! Feeling much more confident about this pregnancy already ✨ my period isnt due until Friday, going to test tomorrow with a frer to see if the line has gotten darker. If it's anything like my daughter the line will be almost or just as dark as the control line 🤞🏻

I've made a November Babies FB group for anybody who wants to join it! I feel like stuff gets lost in threads on here sometimes and it's nice to share bump pics each week etc!

Looking forward to sharing this with you gals anyway 💖

Gosh that must be tough at times working with the in-laws - especially when navigating early pregnancy! Haha love the idea of surprising your parents with a bump but year.. .would take a lot of willpower to not let on earlier!

Hello to others new to the thread! ☺️

Thank you @SnookyPook !

2nd baby due 31st oct but my first was born at 39+3 sooo I’m thinking more likely to have an October baby than a November baby! I’m petite and I think my body says get out now once they reach a certain size 😂 although I ended up with an EMCS due to her getting stuck 🙄 would love to go for a VBAC this time.

Got our private scan booked for when I’m 7 weeks, 2 and a bit weeks away!

Did anyone temp whilst ttc, and if so, have you now stopped after getting your bfp?
I have been but thinking now I've got my bfp I'll stop... I don't want to stress myself out if it dips at all, but I also don't know if I can give up the obsession 😅🙈🤦🏻‍♀️
My temps have been a bit all over the place anyway (up from cover line the whole time after o, but still... Maybe it's best to stop now?!) Aha x
