Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

Hi everyone,

I have posted on the October 2023 thread as my due date is 29th of October but no doubt I will end up with another November baby!

Congratulations to everyone 🥰 hope everyone is doing ok and the nausea isn't too bad!

Glitterb · 21/02/2023 20:26

Hey! I have just had my BFP, I’m in complete shock as I only came off the pill on Christmas day and haven’t even had a period yet, so obviously have no idea on the actual due date however clearblue test has said 2-3 weeks. I took a test as my boobs have been tingling and obviously no really sign of a period. I’m in complete shock! Baby is very much wanted but I still can’t believe it!
what do I need to do next? I’m clueless and haven’t told anyone as yet (my partner is working away until tomorrow night)

TaTaForNow · 21/02/2023 20:53

I am 3+6 today, I went out and bought 10 more tests because I am still in disbelief and aim to take one a day just to make sure I’m definitely pregnant.

First test yesterday was a clear blue first response test and got a strong positive, then took a clear blue digital and it showed as 1-2weeks.

took a boots cheap one this evening and the line was there but very faint compared to the first clear blue one I took.

starting to think it was a bad idea to multi-test

iGotADilemma · 21/02/2023 21:14

Hi everyone
Congrats on your BFPs! I got mine a few days ago. Due date is around end of October/beginning of November. This is baby #2. I haven't had many symptoms so far other than stomach cramping and brown spotting for a couple of days which had stopped now. I didn't get cramps and spotting with baby #1 so I'm panicking a little but apparently it's normal? I'm sure the spotting is implantation bleeding. Any reassurance would be much appreciated!

Glitterb · 21/02/2023 21:27

@TaTaForNow congratulations!
ive taken 4 tests tonight as I am in such disbelief!

TaTaForNow · 21/02/2023 21:32

@Glitterb congrats to you also!! I plan to use up the tests over the next 10 days, using one with each morning wee.

not sure I’ll really believe it until I have a scan at 8 weeks.

SnookyPook · 21/02/2023 23:29

@HannahLouD no temp testing here but can deffo see how it would get addictive! Maybe find another new little routine to do first thing in the morning now you're pregnant like a little positive mantra to repeat or a 2 min meditation or something?!

@33Carr welcome! My predicted due date is 30/31st Oct but I was 8 days over with my first so also expecting a November baby! No sickness yet - in first pregnancy I had nausea but no actual vomiting (very lucky I know!) - hoping for similar this time!!

@Glitterb wow congrats! Amazing! And you didn't even have to go through a period first haha. With my first I got super excited and rang GP straight away and they passed me to midwives who then fobbed me off until I was closer to 8wks... It was a real anticlimax! Now not quite sure what to do this time round haha. I may ring soon anyway just to see what they say.

@TaTaForNow welcome and congrats! So hard not to torment ourselves with multiple testing isn't it?!

@iGotADilemma welcome and congrats! I've heard of so many people getting spotting etc - I'm sure it's super common! Hard not to worry isn't it. I think so many of us get on hyper-alert to every little thing. Especially if we've been pregnant before and things seem different! I'm sure all is fine though!

Mummy1502 · 22/02/2023 07:34

ive had a bit of pink when I wipe this morning, is this too late for implantation at 13dpo after already having positive tests? X

HannahLouD · 22/02/2023 07:42

Shouldn't have created this group... Obviously wasn't meant to be for me this time... I know it's pathetic as it's such early days but I'm still heartbroken... 💔
And this is why I shouldn't have let myself get excited.

Anyway... Lots of sticky baby dust to you all x

@HannahLouD maybe the other one just looks darker as it’s from yesterday and dried? Todays still looks very strong, mine are still faint and I am the same dpo as you x

I really appreciate that 💕 but my ones from yesterday were that strong after 3 minutes. These today definitely aren't. And I know they're supposed to get darker, not lighter. It's ok, I know these things happen. It's just still disappointing x

Mummy1502 · 22/02/2023 08:39

@HannahLouD give it a couple of days and test again, don’t give up hope x

SnookyPook · 22/02/2023 09:06

@HannahLouD oh lovely, so sorry you're feeling down but I agree with @Mummy1502 - don't give up yet. Sending you a massive hug!

TaTaForNow · 22/02/2023 09:29

@HannahLouD we are currently going through the same, yesterdays line appeared clearly within minutes, this mornings was very faint.

When I wiped there was like brown blood/discharge and a small amount of goo/goop (tmi I know, apologies but not sure how to describe it!).

I keep trying to convince myself that it’ll be fine and that it appears weaker because it’s the boots normal tests rather than early response.

ill retest in a few days but I cannot help but feel down.

sorry for rambling.

SnookyPook · 22/02/2023 09:47

Massive hugs for you too @TaTaForNow . Early pregnancy is so uncertain isn't it. I really hope it's all fine for you. I would have thought the different test could definitely impact it (might need a higher HCG level to look like a stronger line?). Keep us posted if you want to. X

Glitterb · 22/02/2023 09:48

@HannahLouD Definitely test again in a few days as I still see a positive on the test!

buckingmad · 22/02/2023 09:52

@TaTaForNow The early detection tests need less than half the amount of hcg normal tests do so don't be too disheartened yet.

TaTaForNow · 22/02/2023 10:03

Thanks @buckingmad i think what’s causing the concern is that I bought the below tests yesterday, took one when I got home in the evening and the line appeared but then I took the second one with my morning wee and it was lighter - when I was expecting it to be darker as more concentrated maybe?

that combined with the small amount of brown blood and mucus(?) has just worried me.

I’ll keep you all updated either way.

buckingmad · 22/02/2023 10:12

@TaTaForNow I've known a few people who have always found second morning urine or even afternoon urine to give a stronger test that first morning urine.

Either way, try (easier said than done) to relax and give it a few days before testing again. And maybe test at the same time of day every time you do it.

TaTaForNow · 22/02/2023 10:18

Thanks @buckingmad i just said to my husband I’ll test at the same time as the first few tests, when I next test.

appreciate the support from everyone here!

MrsFoster · 22/02/2023 11:05

Hi guys, I got a BFP yesterday on my CB advanced digital, does anyone else use the fertility monitor?

I'm hopeful it is a BFP and not a false positive.

I think I am around 13dpo today. AF should be due Saturday/Sunday so planning to do another test with the CB advanced digital on Saturday, maybe second urine after reading comments on this thread.

My BFP was second urine.

MeganC104 · 22/02/2023 11:13

Hi everyone Congrats!

Due date calculator is currently predicting 31st October but joining here as I think due to cycle length I'll more likely have a November date.

I'm currently battling a horrific cold and sinus infection so I don't recognise any symptoms yet. Only symptoms of this bug which is really ANNOYING ME NOW.

Sorry, I'm just getting really fed up with it.

Gloopyhoop · 22/02/2023 13:01

Hi! Sorry I'm late to join I only found snookypook's tag just now 😅 I've also requested to join the Facebook page!

Lurknessmomstar · 22/02/2023 14:39

Congratulations everyone. Got my bfp yesterday and NHS due date calculator estimated 4 November, my first two were born early at 38 and 39 weeks so maybe will be end October if this one goes the same way.

@HannahLouD please don’t lose hope x

HannahLouD · 22/02/2023 14:49

Hi all,

Thank you for the support and I appreciate people saying not to give up hope etc. 💕 but we all know what lighter lines on tests mean after dark ones...(especially when always using fmu) I know this is a chemical... I've got cramps and I just want to bleed now as this now feels like a horrible waiting game.

Anyway... Enough self-pity! My partner's going to get us a big Indian takeaway tonight so that'll maybe help at least a little bit 😊😅

Thanks all for everything and good luck/congrats and sticky dust to you all!x
