Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

@Mummy1502 omg i've had to ban myself from buying the CB digital tests this time because i got completely obsessed with breaking them open last time i was pregnant. They're not sensitive at all and take over a week to properly progress, i spent SO much money testing every few days and checking the progression on the strips inside 🙄 My logical brain left my body for a while. In my next life i'm going to own a pregnancy test business 😂

SnookyPook · 23/02/2023 22:09

Hi All. I've had a super busy day at work which actually stopped me obsessively checking in on here all day!

@HannahLouD so sorry lovely. How are you feeling? Sending massive big hugs.

Congrats and welcome to the newbies. How is everyone feeling? Not much to report here yet!

Have people called midwives yet? With my first pregnancy I got fobbed off when I rang straight away but on a few threads people seem to be saying to call asap due to waiting lists etc..?

anna2101 · 23/02/2023 22:54

@SnookyPook my period isn't due until Saturday (though I found out like 5 days ago now), so I think I will wait at least until mid next week to send my self referral. But yeah I don't want to leave it late - I'm in london too so waiting lists are probably mad

Mummy1502 · 24/02/2023 05:47

@TinyPuds its mad isn’t it x

@SnookyPook not feeling much different other than sensitive boobies and bloating, I sent a referral to midwife as my doctor just sent the link must be a new way of doing it now lol x

MeganC104 · 24/02/2023 07:05

@SnookyPook I self referred this week and have my booking in appointment 20th March.

I think I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel for this sinusitis. Still having to take paracetamol though so I can't really tell if I'm having symptoms or not. I have started feeling really tired in the afternoon though and falling asleep on the sofa alot. But again, could be sickness related.

ukMummyof1 · 24/02/2023 07:14

Hi! Can I join? I got my positive last Saturday and am due around 31st October (but could very well be a November baby❤️)

HannahLouD · 24/02/2023 07:29

Morning all...

My last post...

Took my last test this morning... It's lighter than yesterday's and to be honest, I'm really relieved. Obviously I would have loved it to be darker, but I knew that wouldn't be the case so I'm relieved it's at least finally lightening up instead of stalling for a fourth day.
I'm hoping that it being lighter today will mean that I will hopefully bleed soon.

Thank you so much to everyone for all of your love and support on this absolutely rollercoaster of a few weeks... It's been a wild ride! 😅

Onto the next month for me and hopefully I'll have my amazing, sticky baby soon 🤞

Good luck to everyone who is on this journey... Sending so much love and sticky wishes! 💕

Over and out. x

@HannahLouD loads of love to you my lovely. So sorry this is the way it's gone but hopefully sticky baby is just round the corner. Big big hugs. Hope it doesn't drag on much longer for you. Xxx

I've completed a self referral form too!

MeganC104 · 24/02/2023 08:14

@HannahLouD really sorry to hear that. Good luck next month and I hope you get your sticky baby soon 🤞

Gloopyhoop · 24/02/2023 08:46

@HannahLouD so sorry lovely, you can start looking to the future now 💕
@SnookyPook I called a couple of days ago when I was 4w 2d and they got me straight in for an appt in March. I thought they'd say sorry too early call back next month!
I'm so bad at catching up on this thread, Facebook is way more noisy to tell me when the group has a new notification 😅

SnookyPook · 24/02/2023 10:26

Thanks everyone... I think it's partly disbelief still stopping me calling. Haha. I don't think it's a self-referral form in my area so will be ringing someone. Making the decision to call on Monday. 👍🏻

flightless55 · 24/02/2023 13:26

Hi is anyone else experiencing stitch like pains? I'm 4+4 - hurts!

Glitterb · 24/02/2023 13:45

@flightless55 Yes I have, that’s what made me test in the first place as it felt so weird! I’m also so bloated!

flightless55 · 24/02/2023 13:46

Glitterb · 24/02/2023 13:45

Ah great - I'm bloated too ! I feel like a fraud already not comfortable in my jeans haha

Hopefully it'll pass soon

I also called midwife yesterday and have booking In appointment booked for 20th March :)

Glitterb · 24/02/2023 13:59

@flightless55 I’m exactly the same! I’m hoping that the pain bloating calms down

oh nice! Are you having an early scan?
I self referred the other day but as I’m not sure how far along I am due to coming off the pill at Christmas and not having a period, I was keen to actually speak to someone!

flightless55 · 24/02/2023 14:06

Not having an early scan - in my area there's a number to call to book in and midwife asks a few quick questions eg. Taking folic acid / do you smoke then books in - nice and simple thankfully

Glitterb · 24/02/2023 14:19

@flightless55 that sounds so much easier!
ours is a sit and wait system, but it does tell you to take folic acid when you submit the form.

UnwieldyRhombus · 24/02/2023 14:49

I'm not due until Tuesday so I'll call at the end of next week if the line is still coming up. Is it different now and you're supposed to self-refer. With my last pregnancy, pre-covid, you phoned for a GP appointment and then had to talk to a GP who would refer you and get a booking-in appointment. Are you supposed to skip the GP step now?

@HannahLouD I'm so sorry, lovely xx

I'm glad you're feeling mostly ok. Sticky baby very soon x

UnwieldyRhombus · 24/02/2023 14:50

Sorry I meant that as a question - is it different now and you're supposed to self-refer?

Glitterb · 24/02/2023 14:56

@UnwieldyRhombus I think it depends on your local NHS trust to what you need to do, I just googled it and it said to self refer. GPs don’t seem that interested now and it would take weeks to get a first appointment anyway round here

UnwieldyRhombus · 24/02/2023 15:19

@Glitterb Thanks, it looks like you can do it either way in my county. You're right, I'd probably be about 8 weeks along by the time I could see a GP nowadays!

BarbaraRo · 24/02/2023 15:28

Hello; just sent a request for Facebook group. Hoping I can join you all on this journey. I got my bfp on Monday and my due date is 4th November.

half excited / half terrified!!! 😂

looking forward to getting to know you all!!!! Xxx

SnookyPook · 24/02/2023 18:05

@BarbaraRo hello and welcome! ☺️ Is it your first baby? X

BarbaraRo · 24/02/2023 18:08

Hi there and thank you!

it’s actually my third one 🤦‍♀️ Going to have my hands full!

i have 10 and 7 year old boys, it’s going to be a shock when they find out! 😂

how are you doing so far? I’m just experiencing a little dizziness. I have a shocking cold so may be that and not actually symptoms ofcourse.
